bubblegum dog, tell me what the truth is (Patreon)

hello
hope you’re all well + welcome to the new recruits + thanks for watching the vid. i've had a psych-eventful few days reflecting on it and reading the comments because i'm a masochist and an idiot. in retrospect there are a few lines i wish i'd phrased differently...points i wish i'd expanded on...but this is how it is to try new things. remember what i said about not cringing anymore, literally six days ago? lmao. i've also been thinking about my vids in general...the point of them...tone...format...intended outcomes...maybe i can share what i've written about that later if it's interesting to anyone not me
in other news! some links you might like
my surrogate digital father hank green posted a video yesterday which comes from the same cinematic universe as mine. when the graphs are simply wrong...when the misinformation takes you from one side to the other and back again:
i do have one note!!!! with a mountain range of respect i don't know if what he said about homelessness (that homelessness is directly related to a lack of homes) is right. things generally are not monocausal..this is a trap of thinking...lack of housing may be part of the problem. also i was reading recently about how most (all?) rehousing programs in the US require that you not use drugs to be housed...and understandably a great deal of homeless people don’t want to or are unable to agree to such a stipulation, because, you know, they're addicted to drugs. d'oh! it's unreasonable to expect anyone, even the strongest willed among us, to facilitate their own rehabilitation on the streets, surrounded by the thing they’re expected to avoid. enter finland! where such rules have been done away with in favor of a ‘housing first’ principal..and the results have been really good
'It’s a miracle': Helsinki's radical solution to homelessness+ paywall bypass if needed
the headline says it’s a miracle — no! well, maybe, yes! but what’s occurred is much more explicable…the result of rational n radically empathetic thinking...hm...
ok changing gears
other stuff
found this person in my recs and was hypnotized. how fun right. i think if i come across something like this growing up (+ if there'd been the technology...! what a crazy thing to say) this might have been the way i decided to present myself...sounds heavenly to communicate via a posable, infinitely customizable avatar, instead of relying on my face, disobedient at best…talking is hard man...but still i go on with my skin
listened to the new MGMT album and loved this song. i like the lyrics...iconoclasts growing older and discovering their distaste for / evasion of the mainstream went too far..a little pointless..perhaps none of it was ever that deep..it made me think about the time i all but forced zoe sugg to block me on twitter after being cruel about girl online when i was nineteen. how embarrassing and ridiculous that is now. i feel the 'shame of vitriol aimed at the bubblegum dog' indeed
'i felt hate towards the earthly world / but hate is a very strong word / and it's finally catching up with me...'
+ i'm not like in love with the music video or anything hahaha but at the end a dogman cuts into a cake that says 'the truth' and the goop inside of it gets everywhere, he he. also the harpsichord(?) goes really hard
