the way they're editing jungeun and jiyoon is so funny, it reminds me of those edits on youtube of dr phil where it's just the silence parts and it's so awkward lmao it's obvious jungeun and jiyoon spoke (even if with hostility) but the show is so pressed to convince us that they said zero words to each other

Do you guys think it's fair for fuko to get a lower score than sarang just because "she's consistently good" vs sarang who they said keep getting out of tune but atleast she "improved"? Because if that's the case, then what's the point of being consistently good at doing your job when someone who still made a mistake but just improved a little could get better grades than you who does your job perfectly?

Also, just want to say it now but will say more again tomorrow after the recaps, but adam saying she's losing fuko is probably because she's barely in the episodes this part 2. Aside from the 5 seconds comment they made about her being consistently good but not wowing them, they never critiqued her not even in the interim all throughout part 2.. You're losing fuko because they don't want you to see fuko.

we definitely process more on the recap but i think its both - because we felt people stood out on stage and performance that didn't get any screen time at all, and also felt people who got a lot of screen time didn't stand out in the performance. we had a LOT of feeling on this ep lolll

Yeah i get u guys and the industry has never been fair but it's just so gut-wrenching because just like you guys said multiple times, no one on the show wanted this more than fuko and they're treating her like shit. And even though they treated her dust for giving her the lowest score for being "consistently good" she still has a very positive attitude towards it. She's one of the most hard working girls in there and definitely the most earnest about i just feel so bad for her.

this episode sparked a LOT of controversy on iland2twt when it aired, there were a lot of messy things going on but as to jungeun, she definitely did NOT deserve 10th place… however during the whole thing w jiyoon most people in sk took jiyoon’s side (and it had a lot to do with racism / colorism as well) so it wasn’t related to her talents at all. that’s why she keeps scoring so low during these tests when it comes to the audience’s votes :/ but what bothered me the most was how clearly biased the judges were towards sarang. i love her it just sucks to see girls like fuko get low scores for being “consistent” (which you’d think they’d want someone getting ready to debut to be…) and then someone who makes mistakes on stage twice in a row (and btw the producers pointed out at the beginning of part 2 that “no mistakes would be allowed in part 2”… yeah ok 😭) still makes it to the debut team that episode and even scored higher than other girls who made no mistakes and performed like their lives depended on it because “her attitude was good and she still improved”. again i don’t want to have any accusations against my name i do love sarang and i think she did great regardless of her mistake, my critique goes to the producers not her bc they were so contradictory and inconsistent with their judgement precisely because they had biases they couldn’t put aside. like how is fuko being consistent a bad thing?? 😭 knowing an idol you love is always going to put on an enjoyable performance is part of what makes you like them so much, you don’t have to be nervous that they’ll mess something up because you trust their skills. that’s been fuko this entire time but they made it out to be this downside bc they keep putting her in bright bubbly concepts and somehow it’s her fault for not “wowing” them or doing something different when THEY were the ones who made the decision to have her be in the same kind of stuff all the time, not her 😭 she wasn’t even my one pick at any point during the show but you can consider me fuko’s defense attorney honestly like with the way they were treating her, mai, jungeun and juwon in part 2 i was turning into the joker back then at this point in time

it's crazy how girls that were so important/main characters in part 1 have just vanished.

the main dancer position felt like the creative unit all over again. The leftovers just ended up there and that's why it's so congested. I wish they sent Mai or Jeemin to the All Rounder Position and made it four and four. The rap and vocal units were my highlight. I was wondering how Jiyoon's color would work with Jungeun's clean voice, but when they harmonized at the end, I nearly fell over. Love. Love. Love.

1. The choreo composition of Money is really poorly done. The other stages all had Part 1s, but none of them had someone stand in the center the whole time, get the killing parts AND a solo moment. Juwon had one or two lines total, same with Mai. Also I think it's kind of important to think about who this dance was made for. This dance was designed on Lisa's body; tall, long-limbed, thin. I think there's a reason the moves seem much more flashy on Jeemin and Saebi, even if I don't think their technique for it was as good as Sujung or Juwon. Dances can looks super different on different bodies, and a choreographer will always take that into consideration when they craft a dance for a specific person. 2. You mentioned Fuko having a previous fanbase from being on a show, and I would like to point out - she super didn't. She had no presence on Girls Planet at all. I straight up didn't even realize she had been on it. She was out at the first elimination and didn't get even a stitch of screentime. Jeemin had a substantial fanbase - she was top ranked for the whole show essentially. All of Fuko's popularity is from this show alone. 3. I agree Jiyoon did better than Jungeun, but I think she's kind of getting the easiest possible songs for her during the vocal challenges. With IIWAB specifically, the melody is repeated pretty exactly between Parts 1 and 2. Jiyoon introduces a tune and has an impact, and then Jungeun sings the exact same tune. We could never be impacted by Jungeun the same way because we had already heard that exact melody moments before. Jiyoon got every single transition or mood shift. It felt like a repeat of Eyes Nose Lips in that way - Jungeun just doing backup the way Minsol did. This isn't a slight on Jiyoon's skill at all, she's genuinely very good, but she's only been truly challenged ONCE so far in the show. Everything has been in her wheelhouse since Like Ooh-Ahh. 4. The complete erasure of Juwon is one of the most egregious rig edits I've ever seen in a survival show, and I've watched all of them. Mnet HATES her, which is insane because she has literally never done anything wrong. It's just based on how she looks. When they showed the clip of Saebi, Jeemin and Koko in the Top 3 room going "we're the tall ones!" it was almost TOO on-the-nose. If you're skinny and on the taller end, you get edits about working hard, overcoming flaws and being talented. If you're shorter and not AS skinny (because ALL OF THESE GIRLS ARE THIN) you get edits about your bad personality, not being as good as the person in your team, or just cut entirely from the show. Putting Sarang, Fuko and Gyuri in the same group was kind of funny - they feel interchangeable in the show. Once all the tall, thin girls are in the group like Mnet wants, they'll need one or two more and it can be any one of those mid-tier girls. That's what it feels like.

okay I have been WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE for so long because I am so excited to see your reactions to allll fourrr of these performances. I'm just abt to be at the part where they start, so before I see you react, I'm going to say what I'm most excited for you guys to react to for each one: - 4 Walls: GYURI EATING IT UPPPP. This song is HER song. I just know she's gonna have y'all gagged. Ik how much you guys have loved her since ep 1 and so was I so I've been so excited for this. - Spicy: KOKOOOO!!! You're already obsessed with Koko? Now just wait till you see Koko serving cunt. - Money: I'm excited to see you guys finally see Jeemin in her full form!! Watching the show I also didn't really feel like I was fully on the Jeemin train, but right here I got it I was like OH THIS is why she's the it girl!! It's the challenge where she finally let herself be confident and didn't hold back - If I Were a Boy: Honestly just excited for the whole entire thing. The last few crumbs of the Jiyoon/Jungeun drama before the storyline is over, them making up, the gag of them performing a duet together. But I thinkkkkk your standout will be Jiyoon. Oh and Jiyoon calling for her dad thing, that was so funny it's always what I think of when I hear that song now

Also the reason I think Money wasn't amazing to watch is weirdly because of the camera work. I've also watched all the fancams, in which you can not only see the one member but also the members around them, and everyone slays. Comparing the fancams to the this performance video, I don't think the camera people did a good job of capturing the good parts, the highlights, and just their full bodies dancing. Just my opinion!

lol i haven't stopped thinking about this. Fuko should've done vocal with Jiyoon and Jungeon (though, I understand why production needed them to be alone. That duet was for TV, not a performance). Mai and Jeemin should've done All Rounder with S and G and that would've been move even. Koko and Yuju worked as a duet bc they're the only ones that has made rap their gig

no you weren’t, but while it was airing and i pointed this out on twt her fans got reallyyyyy mad bc they took it as me attacking her when i was only criticizing the judges for being biased, unfair and inconsistent 😭 taking her entire journey up until this ep into consideration i wouldn’t say she doesn’t deserve a spot in the top6 because she’s super talented, but only taking her performances in part 2 into consideration i do think it’s unfair for her to get ranked higher than girls who have consistently been delivering great performances with no mistakes. they put jeemin out of the top6 when she got in her head and started doing worse than they expected her to but when sarang does the same thing she still makes it bc “she still improved”… what exactly is that going to teach her? jeemin only got better this ep bc she learned the importance of challenging herself and proving everyone who doubted her wrong. but sarang isn’t getting the opportunity to do that because despite making mistakes she’s still getting high scores, so it’s also unfair to HER. it’s just really frustrating to watch 😭 i feel like the judging was a lot better in part 1 tbh idk what happened

Late to the party but at 1:17 yall talk about how Jiyoon and Jungeun having to film a BTS of them working out their issues and it brought me back to the time WOW made Adore and Laganja sit and watch their fight in untucked lol
