Yup I agree that the passionate advocating for one show in the comments of the poll is a really great feature, but I have to say I hope we can all work towards keeping it all more above board for future polls. Obviously, there's nothing wrong with strongly arguing for one show over another or even saying "I didn't like that show bc blabla". But being very negative towards a show you don't like or claiming others don't have taste because they disagree with you, just spreads negativity. Honestly for me if I don't have a strong opinion otherwise it makes me want to vote against that show because of the negative attitude and energy surrounding it. Also, just keep in mind that everyone has different opinions and preferences and most likely even if a show looses it will be chosen in the future, so in a way the poll is likely more about voting the order in which shows will be reacted to rather than saying "we won't watch that show since it lost!" But much love to everyone, stay positive and I'm excited for Secret Relationships now as well as Gelboys in the future hopefully!

Ahh!! I'm so excited! I wish I could watch right away but I have work. Other people might disagree but I do think this show is SO MUCH FUN! But I grew up on soap operas and telenovelas. Rollercoasters like this make me excited to watch! I enjoy being gagged! Overall, I love how this show came out. Can't wait to relive it again! 😆

I did not read the webtoon, so I'm not sure if it's the same but the way the story is told does fit the title, secret relationships. I like how you need to analyze the details, hints and foreshadowing to slowly unveil the secrets. The sad thing is, I think, to an extent, the length of the series was quite short to compact all the story behind it. I'm excited to see how gagged you'll be on the future episodes,.

This might seem weird but its actually really comforting to me that you guys are reacting to this show. My grandma just had to go to the hospital for an emergency surgery (thankfully she's ok but she is still in the ICU), and it is just nice to have something to take my mind off of that for a bit. I started watching this show a few weeks ago and got instantly hooked after episode one. Wha Adam said about the unreliable narrator feeling in KBLs is soo true, the way this series in particular is shot really reminds me of Love for Love's Sake (especially the liminal space shot at the beginning). Can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the series!!

yes to the intro! ty adam and rj for calling out some of the nasty comments left on the poll bc most of them were nice, but the few went overboard… saying people didn’t have taste if they liked SR was wild to me (even from a 3rd pov of someone who haven’t watched both shows, that was so offputting. RJ! I said the same thing when I first watched. I said, Seonghyeon is in a different show. He is in a romcom, living his enemies to lovers/office romance fantasy while everyone else is in a high stakes drama and going through it haha

my favorite part is the eek out of backstory and the little twists and turns, but honestly, the whole grandness of the entire show. I love it. The pacing of everything feels so good too and the chemistry between the whole group is just so delicious. it's definitely one of my top shows this year! And in my opinion, if it didn't happen in the drama, it's not canon to the drama. I didn't look anything up from the webtoon and I'm happy.

What is more shocking is that the actor who plays Soohyun-Jungwoo is a 02' liner, when I found out he's the same age as me it was such a shocker. Also I have been waiting the whole 2 episodes for Adam to mention Junseo's lips, they are so plump and beautiful.

Was so happy for ep 2 credits they used Changsub's OST for the webtoon version that was pretty popular. As a WEi stan it's just so funny to see Junseo as the small guy these three giants are obsessed with, since I always saw him as kinda tall within the group. Jungwoo (Suhyeon) while being the youngest of the 4 actors is also the younger brother of Choo Youngwoo who starred in the BL You Make Me Dance.

I think they're both good for recaps in different ways! gelboys will probably be good for production talk, unpacking the realism, and how relatable it is, while I think SR is really great for gushing about the gags, theorizing, and also going back to details earlier that were setup for the bigger reveals later. Like I'm excited for more to be revealed, so they can start connecting dots. Idk I spent an hour at work every week recapping to my coworkers and they were pretty entertained 😁

I’m sat and shaking from anxiety. I could feel this abusive dynamic between Da-On and Jaemin. Something about the way Jaemin acted when they were on the couch. How he’s spinning the “if you don’t want me to see him, okay I won’t”. It feels like someone who is giving you what you want and being overly nice after hurting you. Classic abusive behavior. Then the way he acted when Da-On confessed? I think he definitely likes having a hold on a younger, more vulnerable guy. For some reason I wonder if Soohyun maybe was friends and liked Jaemin, and dated him to keep him away from Da-On…then they became toxic together. This show already makes my brain want to explode. And my hearrrt. Poor Da-On.

Haven’t t even got to the reaction part lol but what RJ said at the beginning about not having to put down one thing to prove that what you want/like is better. THIS! That’s such a pet peeve of mine and I’m so glad you said it! I see this sooo often with BLs and especially K-pop. In my opinion it weakens your argument and makes me not want to watch that person/group/show just because of that even if I was initially interested.

I’m about to rewatch and don’t see any comments mentioning it. This isn’t 3rd rewatch, and during my 2nd I noticed in the intro that all 3 of the men have their hands on Da-On. Jaemin has his hand on his head — he was essentially playing mind games with him. Soohyun has his hand on Da-On's shoulder, being more or less physically abusive. Seonghyun puppy has his hand on his arm, comforting him. If you look at that, you know who he is going to end up with.
