Hello! This is Nova Entertainment.

Due to the feedback we received from the recent survey, as well as a wish to streamline our output, we have decided on some changes that will be upcoming as of June 1, 2025. Please watch this video in it's entirety as it answers many questions. We have also attached the PDF version of the presentation below for your reference in case you missed anything.

Watching this makes me realize that my survey was probably super uninteresting, haha. I didn't have many asks or requests. But I'm excited to for all the additions and the updates! I am a recap watcher, so I'm relieved you'll still be doing them AND happy to watch more BL (and GL). A little commentary at the end also sounds great! Your changes and hard work always comes across as genuine and super thought out. I appreciate all the effort you guys go through for this channel. It's one of the reasons I have remained a fan!

Watched the whole video now. I just wanna say, you guys are so professional and transparent and put so much effort into everything - it's genuinely so nice to be part of this community. The new tiers sound good to me. I was worried it might be a bit much to have to post a video a day for you as I've seen some content creators burn out with busy schedules, but if it'll be easier for you to plan everything then it sounds perfect for me. as i'm a bob, nothing much will really change for me tier wise anyway :)

I don't think too much is changing for me but overall this makes a lot of sense and while it is impossible to make everyone happy I think this is one of the most organized and well laid out patreons I've ever subscribed to. P.s I personally love the recaps you guys have gotten me through many a boring work day.

I appreciate this shift and I think it makes perfect sense in light of the survey results! Thank you so much for your hard work on this Adam & RJ! I did want to ask/comment about survival shows though. I appreciate that many people find them too stressful/treat trainees badly etc. and I don't dispute any of that, but I do feel like it would be nice to keep up with survival shows in the future in a slightly more regular manner as I think a lot of us on the Idol side really like the idea of together discovering new wonderful trainees (automatic new beloveds ;)). I would point to Universe League as a great example of this. That said, I don't think we need to include a survival show all the time or there should be any stress about reacting to as many of them as possible as there has indeed been a bombardment of survival shows lately all at the same time. But I do think that we should be more actively on the lookout for survival shows so we don't miss a great one like Boys Planet, Build Up in the past or Universe League as mentioned. Now, our beloveds or people tangentially related to lore will likely go on survival shows in the future so I hope that can be factored in in the decision in choosing Idol content. I respect that there are often a lot of problematic and just outright horrible conversations on social media surrounding survival shows (including horrible hate campaigns targeting specific trainees, which obviously are completely unacceptable and inexcusable), but to be honest, I would almost be a stronger advocate for us to watch one here for that reason as this is a safe, respectful and loving community without such toxicity so if I wanted to watch a survival show anywhere and still actively discuss it with people it would be here. Thank you to everyone for building and cultivating such a wonderful community here! Also I hope that recaping survival shows at least remains a possibility in the future, although I respect the fact that it is very time consuming and it by no means would have to be every survival show to be recapped but I think the idea of for instance "picking your debut team" is something crucial for certain survival shows and recapping at least in some format is great for that. Also, on that Youtube recap note, let's please support them on Youtube as well!! I think there are many of us who have come here thanks to survival shows like that and many of us berets, bows and bobs have joined that way so I hope that in road to this Patreon is open in the future as well is all I'm saying I suppose!! Also, in terms of "lore" and the groups that are being followed I do feel like survival shows provide a nice and welcome balance to previously well-established groups that already have large fandoms that more easily win e.g. BoTM polls and are more likely getting a lot of Varieday/content suggestions. Ok, I finished the video, and I really just have to thank you guys. As a Brazilian who's on the bob tear (paying in dollars, which means the price will always be kinda high for me lol) I have to say you are one of the only creators worthy paying here in patreon. No shade, but when I tried supporting other gringos, it was very annoying how some months there would be basically no content. Like, of course it's okay if they are taking a break or something, but it's very hard for foreigners fans to keep paying when there's almost nothing there. But you guys? It's better than Netflix, you post new content almost everyday and always listen to your public. very happy atiny here looking forward to the future (for reasons stated in this video) but most importantly a very happy patreon supporter! i just wanted to say how much i appreciate the level of transparency, organization, thought and thoroughness with which you run this patreon! being able to give feeback, vote on things, etc makes being a supporter really fulfilling. these kinds of pp presentations/recaps whenever there are changes ahead are also really helpful and make the experience here stress-free as a customer – there's never a question of not knowing what's ahead and thinking "will i get the content i want this month? is it worth it for me or should i skip the month?" there's an easy and accessible way to find that out on a monthly-basis (for renewals) and on a weekly basis (for the fun of knowing what's on the menu that week). i love it! so, thank you so much!!

If your membership renews on Jun 1st, and you want to change tiers at a cheaper price, it might be worth switching to a free membership temporarily, before updating to your preferred membership level once the new tiers are live. Otherwise you might risk being charged the higher rate unnecessarily.

As others have mentioned I love how organised and thoughtful you guys are! In my survey response I didn't really care much about separating idol and BL content since I'm here for both and I watch pretty much everything you guys put out, but I'm looking forward to the new tiers. I also really liked the solo stuff so I'm a little sad they're not continuing! But I'm always up for a new BL, though that does seem like a whole lot of content for you to have to keep up with on a weekly basis - so I hope you do get to take breaks as and when required, although I'm greedy for everything! One thing I did mention was that I loved how the birthday videos allowed for a chance to get some content from the groups in low lore. RIP to the birthday videos - I completely get why you stopped them, since it must be getting very overwhelming! But I would also really like for the low lore groups to get a shoutout every now and then in the general idol stuff, although I acknowledge that the other groups are likely to have the highest regular audience. It doesn't have to be super regular but it would be nice to check in every now and then with some of the other groups as well, so to speak!

Regarding the recaps, for me it would be nice to have a "podcast version" for when i want to listen but not necessarily watch the recap? I find YouTube a bit difficult since you can't close the app without pausing the video unless you have premium. Just a thought! Again thank you for all your work!!

Yeah I have to second this! I'm similar, in that while for shows I really know from the start I'll enjoy (e.g. if I've watched it before or heard great things) or am just very excited about I'll always watch both the Patreon reaction and the Youtube recap. But for some shows that don't immediately speak to me and the reaction may be quite long I'll usually just check out the recap and that way get into the show. For me Kingdom was like that to be honest as some of those episodes are super long so I wouldn't have the time to watch them, but the recaps were like shorter hilarious summaries of the eps so for a show like that it worked great to have the recap too. Albeit I acknowledge that the recaps are very time-consuming and laborious for you to make so I understand why this change has been made. But I do hope we can keep that recap option open for shows including survival shows where that makes sense, but maybe without the pressure of constantly having 3 shows being recapped at the same time or something crazy like that.

I strongly suggest the ZB1 variety videos! There's crossover with BL since Kim Jiwoong was previously a BL actor (and is friends with Domundi actors!) and they're all great. I also recommend the "nugu" groups from Boys Planet like ONE PACT and Ampers&One!

I finally managed to catch up on the news and actually I think this works out, because hopefully by then I can actually go up a tier and get both the BL and Idol goodness+pay the difference--because I chat in both the BL and Idol discord threads, wwww rip. So I have to pick between kpop and bl reactions now? Did I understand that right? That honestly sucks. There are so many patreons I’m not a member of because I couldn’t decide between music and show reactions so I'm kinda sad to run into that issue here since I’ve been so happy having both. But i guess we’ll see what sort of solutions I come up with since I won’t be able to afford the 10 $ (+taxes so like 12,5 really) a month. Also I’m really surprised to hear that recaps aren’t popular? They’re one of my favourite parts. I still regularly watch the Boys planet ones, it’s my comfort content!
