EarthMix have cats. If I remember correctly, the cat in this show is one of their actual cats. I love them so much! This is one of my favorite BLs. The characters are so real and relatable.

earthmix connoisseurs cmiiw they lived together for a while during covid (mainly bc of scheduling accessibility) and there were so many instances where they would deny it and accidentally reveal that they were actually tgt (e.g. earth sneezing, his foot being shown at the back of a live) but they’ve lived together for the past few months (over a year?) while earth’s place was under “construction” (also earth was battling some stuff at the time so mix took care of him 💔) but re: cats, i think the cats they both owned totalled up to like 9 at some point (and there’s even a clip of mix holding earth’s first cat swaddled like a newborn baby…)

Just to manage your expectations. It does become a very slow burn romance after Ep 1. The show is also more slice of life and everyone’s personal journey. The romance is more of a sub plot a lot of the times.

Honestly, while I love this show, I can understand why some might say it’s a bit hyped - but while it’s essentially a show of people just living their lives (albeit a bit messily), the cast really sells it because ALL the chemistry works (romantic, platonic, all of it). It’s visually stunning, and full of Heart (pun intended). Earthmix in particular could do an ad for toothpaste and I’d be in 🤣🤣 I’d give anything for you to do ATOTS one day, baby earthmix

Trivia 1. original script 2. Directed by P’Aof who is now the creative director of GMM this was his first major project as he moved into that role he got together with I think two other directors and they decided they wanted something different. They wanted to produce original work and they wanted to highlight what happens after dark in Thailand so they created three short series. 3. P’Aof was a fan of ITSAY he said it proved to him a lot of things that could work one being the chemistry of actors who know each other prior to their work is different. Original scripts can work in the BL space and greater emphasis on cinematography. 4. EarthMix knew each other before they were cast. In fact it was earth who suggested Mix although mix was already interested in working for the company.

Earthmix's chemistry is crazyyyyyy. They just have to look at each other and I sometimes have to pause the screen because it's too much. Back in the day, during ATOTS, we nicknamed it Tale of a Thousand Stares 😂

Gosh, it's shot so beautiful and I knew you guys would geek out over the beginning and the "one take". One of my highlights of this show is the vintage feel, the colors, the sets, and sometimes the wardrobe (they really popped off with Jim's wardrobe. They made Earth look incredible). I've always wanted Earthmix to do a period romance. It's on my wishlist during every GMMTV announcement.

Earth and Mix have known each other for a long time. Earth has been in GMMTV for a long time and is an OG BL actor, but never seemed to find a partner that stuck. Mix was interested in being in the entertainment industry and they both shared a manager, but didn't know each other yet. The manager introduced them to each other about 11 years ago now, when Mix was like 15/16. They weren't super close, but when GMMTV was looking for an opposite of Earth for Tale of a Thousand Stars, Earth asked Mix to audition. P'Aof loved their chemistry and decided to cast Mix almost right away. And they are pretty much been inseparable since. They are vague about living together, confirming it at times but having lots of excuses to why, lol. But it was definitely interesting when Mix bought his house and his family had a monk come for a blessing ceremony and it was Earth and Mix sitting in front of the monk with their families surrounding them.

Also Earth, Mix, First, and Khaotung are all best friends. They spend a lot of time together and have traveled together too, recently going to China together to go to Disney after FirstKhao had work there. Khaotung is in Tale of a Thousand Stars and I believe that is how they all got close.

I've always thought mix looked like jin from bts, there's certain expressions and faces he does where he looks the literal spitting image to me, especially eating and stuff like that, I saw it more in TOATS but sometimes I'll just see an insta post really quick and genuinely think it's jin, the resemblance is scary uncanny to me at times lol

Geminifourth shot Moonlight Chicken first before My School President, but My School President did start airing before Moonlight Chicken. In fact, once Moonlight Chicken started airing, it was airing simultaneously as My School President. So there was actually a time when we watched Gemini and Fourth three times a week on screen since Moonlight Chicken aired 2 episodes per week.

The way I’ve been waiting for this to drop… you have no idea! One of my favourite shows of all time ❤️ it’s such a thoughtful and gentle exploration of different people's different life experiences and how those have affected them and their world views. And yes, this is fourth and Gemini's first show, but my school president was aired first. And earth and mix are obviously old hats at this whole thing. Mix is actually a veterinarian if you didn’t know. Insane, dude literally went to vet school while having a whole damn acting career. Couldn’t be me!

I love moonlight chicken for what it is. Grown men who are sure about their sexuality, a lot of drama that still feels realistic and complicated characters. It's just so different to majority of gmm series and it's a nice story, especially with heart li ming. So yeah, it might be short and simple, but there's so many reasons to love this show. Waiting for your reaction to all the plot twists)

Not so fun fact. Earth and Mix were not really speaking with each other during filming. They had a big fight and neither backed down. It took their manager to break the ice. While on a GMM outing to Khao Yai, they made up and have been inseparable ever since. I know a lot about EM.

this show has my favorite performances from gemini and fourth. i can't believe this was their first time acting together. im sure ticket to heaven is gonna be my new #1 once it airs, but their characters in this are soooo dear to me, love them to death. i can't wait for you guys to see their whole storyline

This is my favorit absurd casting agewise in a bl 😂Earth was 27 so they made him constantly mention how old his character is supposed to be. Like saying “I’m middle aged” will make anybody believe that’s his actual age 😅

So I’m not even at where they’ve finished part 1 of the ep but need to leave a comment. This show is closer to the genre of LGBTQ+ than BL and EarthMix’s characters’ plot is more personal growth-focused than relationship-focused. The most classic BL-plot is the GemFourth one. This is my personal favorite Thai BL because I personally like the other issues and relationships the show focuses on outside of the romances. The script, cinematography, acting is fantastic across the board. It does not have the pace of a classic BL though, so I can understand why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Also, I describe the way Mix looks at Earth in this first night as “c*mhungry d*ckpig energy”

so so excited. Will be wearing my mlc tshirt that says "That's my slutty boy" every week to celebrate your reactions! The show is stunning, I love the coloring (its giving 90s hong kong/wong karwai movies which I adore), it really gets me in my emotions, has so many important themes, I love earthmix germfourth and firstkhao so this was catered to me specifically. Funnily enough, while the earthmix and gemfourth stories are both incredible in their own ways, the chemistry that surprised me the most was First and Mix. They have two amazing scenes that I will never forget and can't wait for you to get to, such good acting and script writing it ruins me. I think Adam will have many reasons to cry, that this is gemfourths first show is honestly unbelievable because they really are incredible and I'm glad that they were able to show their skills portraying something heavyhearted right away. Also we love a queer show with queer leads... oops who said that? let me give you some earthmix lore... during the filming of mlc they were actually not on good terms, when you watch interviews from that time where earth is asked about mix its very stiff, mix was posting moody poems about losing love and later said he cried a lot during the filming because he could relate to wen so much (and possibly how jim keeps pushing wen away but once again who said that!!!) and they said they made up on a trip eventually. Khaotung who plays gaipa gave earth and mix oscar wildes de profundis (letter he wrote to his lover while in prison for homosexuality), they regularly post lovestagrams and were really active in supporting same sex marriage and when it was legalised were on live and one of them said "we can get married now" do with that what you will, kisses

can't lie it bums me out a bit that apparently so many people were making you believe this show might be disappointing, obviously its possible you won't love it as much as many of us do, who knows, but it completely deserves all the awards it received! the acting, cintematography and themes is all top notch. The only complaints I've heard is people finding it too dragged out and boring but I believe thats related to it being less bl and more lgbt drama that doesnt solely focus on the romance but is very intersectional

Msp came out first but mlc filmed first. Geminifourth were around 17-18 in mlc and both 18 in msp. Heart is gemini's first character and its still the most challenging for him but he really did great!!! Can't wait for more heartliming!

They came out pretty much together. MSP started first then MLC started airing a couple weeks later. So there were like four weeks of one episode of MSP and 2 episodes of MLC a week.

My personal opinion on this is that it really depends on what your looking for. No spoilers but GemFourth's storyline by itself is more of a typical BL storyline so I think that was something a lot of people liked. But EM are the reason this show happened and I will take no slander towards them 👏 Anyway, I hope you have a great time watching along now that we're a couple years out from it airing 🤗💗

One of my fav GMM lore things is how much they aged poor Earth up when he's not even amongst the oldest GMM BL actors. His ATOTS character was the first really adult BL main character from GMM and Earth was only like 26yo playing him. And then this role too! While Off and Gun and Tay and New and them were all still regularly getting cast as university students 😆 P'Aof saw Earth and said "now that's a MAN, I gotta do something about this".

Background information about Moonlight Chicken This is known as EarthMixx divorce era I think at this is I was going crazy trying not to panic since at that time my favorite CP broke up and EM was my second fav.
