XXII.

Cauldron of Time

There is a single reality,

immutable, common to all humankind,

to every living essence

drawing breath.

A word both feared and unknown,

a livid, vertebral enigma,

sinuous and deformed,

liquid and petrified.

Time is of a corrosive nature.

Insatiable, devouring cell by cell.

A promised body,

submerging into the void of doubt and dread.

Absurd, unbounded fantasies,

follies of a constant order.

Illicit bliss.

The discernment of the brave.

A spoonful of honey and lemon,

a soothing throat,

the tender affairs of the heart.

Beautifully twisted, conflicted acknowledgement of the real nature of life; diving from the abstract into terrior and up again to warmth in one speedy verse. The art is wonderful; who?

Thank you for everything my dear friend. Your words are a soothing balm and a gentle oil. Pure essence. Thank you.
