I think I've been using the same coloring process for months now, it's fun to see how I'm spontaneously setting on something new! I used to render mainly under the lineart for a year, adding only few touches above it to blend lines and paint, now more and more often I choose to straightworwardly paint on top!

Speaking of final outcome, I've always preferred a painterly result, but I had been looking for ways to nicely incorporate my lineart since I dedicate a lot of attentio to it as well. I also used to find it pretty hard to paint on top of the lineart, probably because I would erase it too soon, while now I realized it's easier for me to work around it and only cover lines when I want a smoother surface!
