WrestleVotes on Fightful Select spoke to sources about the awkward finish to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens' Undisputed WWE Title match on SmackDown. It was made clear to us that the ending was 'absolutely blundered.'Owens' kickout was not part of the planned finish. We're told a number of people backstage were said to be upset about how things transpired, as they felt the original idea for the match was not executed as planned. The idea was for CM Punk to hit Owens with the belt, Zayn would pin Owens, and that would be the end of it.We're told that some felt the improvised finish, with the bell not being rung and Zayn having to hit a Helluva Kick on Owens, took away from Punk's involvement, which was viewed as a vital part of the story that WWE was trying to tell.In speaking with a source, it was relayed to WrestleVotes that Seth Rollins is currently being kept off television as creative waits for the right moment to bring him back, with plans for his return already lined up and ready to go.According to a source, Rollins was, at one point, set to be part of the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, though it appears those plans have since shifted. A source noted that Rollins' return to TV shouldn't be that far off.Additionally, we're told there's similar uncertainty surrounding CM Punk's status for Money in the Bank. According to a source, Punk was, at one point, discussed as working the October 10th show, but that is no longer certain at this time.It was relayed to WrestleVotes just how enthusiastic and impressed Netflix was with the numbers coming out of the Mexico City Monday Night Raw on September 14th.We're told WWE is extremely pleased with how things turned out with the reported three million viewers, especially considering that week one of NFL Monday Night football is traditionally a difficult spot for the show. We've also learned that Netflix is eager to showcase bigger names and bigger matches on Raw more regularly, intending to build on the momentum of Raw in Mexico City.

This is where I feel like creative is failing. Even if you don’t have a match planned for a person, let’s just say Punk, and you still want to feature them on the card and promote their appearance you can do a segment . A sit down interview. An in ring promo. Something! It’s not that hard to add in an extra segment. Doesn’t need to be 20 minutes.

That's on the Referee for not counting to 3. KO didn't kickout until the Referee stopped his count. The Referee has to relay the finish to the wrestlers Tired of WWE blaming everyone but themselves
