For this, alone, Bryce Dallas Howard is Star Wars royalty for me. The pacing, the blocking, the way she brings lore to life. I LOVE her as a storyteller.

Chandra, don’t know if you do much gaming but the cute little BD droid in this episode is a reference to the game Jedi : Fallen Order … which is a great game for some extra lore and an intro to a new Jedi.

Can't forget the sequel, Jedi: Survivor! And BD stands for best droid. If I could have any droid from the Star Wars universe, I would want BD-1. I'd die for that little guy.

Yeah, aside from some childhood nostalgia for R2-D2, totally agree. Got both of their Lego sets to give me the closest thing to having them. 😃

So here's some more Star Wars lore and nerdiness, As you know it's been said Jedi and Mandalorians are, or were enemies for a long time, as the Armorer said centuries ago there was a Mandalorian who was also a Jedi (super rare obviously) it's also said in legends The original Mandlore (the leader) rode a giant Mythosaur, IE giant monster which is considered mostly legend and myth now. But the Mythosaur skull is the skull Fett, Mando and many Mandos wear to honor their ancestors and it's basically a symbol of being a Mandolorian

Yeah, this was just an episode of the Mandalorian. And there were a few Phantom Menace Easter Eggs in it. The N1 starfighter they rebuilt is one of the ones little Anakin piloted in the final dogfight, Beggar's Canyon, originally mentioned in the firs Star Wars film was shown for the first time in the Pod Race sequence, and Mando passes an offramp with a wrecked barrier that Anakin destroyed during the Pod Race 41 years earlier.

Disney had large model BDX droids at the parks this past summer. I got to see two of them performing at Hollywood Studios, and those same models will be seen in a film soon.

Chandra, "OMG, we're going to get The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and Fennec, fighting together..." Yeah... about that... this might be Boba Fett's series, technically, but we're gonna watch a couple of episodes of "The Mandalorian" Season 1.5 right about now... it has to be a bit disheartening when the best episodes, arguably, of the show named after your character don't have much of your character in them, if at all.

The little BD droid is from the Star Wars game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order he is Kal Kestis droid. Love that droid so cute! Also the blade the Mandos use are called vibro knives before lightsabers the Jedi used Vibroblades (Vibrate very fast to cut like a lightsaber..almost)
