More Horror! 😱This was definitely the scariest movie we've seen this month. Turns out this is the exact kind of movie that really gets to me, so I was also terrified for the rest of the night after watching it!

The Annabelle doll is a real doll. Its being held in a museum. It doesn't look like the one in the movie but people who came in contact with it died.

If you all ever want to enter the magical world of "So-Bad-They're-Good" movies (The Room, Battlefield Earth, etc.), little Joey King in this was in a terrible horror movie called Wish Upon. Wish Upon is SO bad, and I love it SO much.

Sam

Yeah, it's literally just a Raggedy Ann doll.

This is about as "based on a true story" as Harry Potter, but it's still entertaining. Insidious is better, though.

Awesome guys! One of my favorite horror movies made better with Chandra‘s dread. JK Keep ‘em coming

Scary movie recommendations: Rec (2007) Sinister (2012) Insidious (2010) The Amityville Horror (1979) The Others (2001)

Excellent. So, how many years are we going to have to wait for y'all to watch any other "Conjuring" universe movies? You know, the rest of the "Conjuring" movies... the "Annabelle" movies... "The Nun" movies...

Thomas Yanez

One of my favorite easter eggs is when the Warrens mention needing to go to Long Island for another case... that's a direct reference to one of their more famous cases, which the horror classic "The Amityville Horror" (1979) was based on.

Thank you so much! Watching your reactions to this great (and yes, terrifying) film brought joy to my sad heart 😀 It was so much fun. I do have empathy for you but I couldn't help but enjoy it. Thanks so much!

This was soooooo fun! Thanks guys. Note to self: Always vote for jumpscare movies on new polls for your reaction. It seems for jumpscare movies, Jordan is a laugher and Chandra is a frantically talking, screamer. 😂

Oh dear hahaha... My little heart, it just can't take it! We'll try pepper in more horror movies throughout the year I think, because these were very fun to watch.

MaplenutsReact

Awww, thanks for watching with us!! ❤️❤️❤️ I'm terrified watching, but it's also very fun being scared

MaplenutsReact

Hahaha I don't even notice Jordan laughing because I'm so scared

Tatiana Ferreira

Are you going to react to the other ones? They're pretty great. 🥹 You won't be scared I promise ☺️ (😈)

The only real thing is the fact that there is a real doll called the Anabell Doll. However it doesn't look nearly as creepy, and isn't possessed, no matter what the investigator who investigated this event says.. lol

This movie is a master class in tension and world building. It earns its scares, and that's why it's so effective. The directing by James Wan, the cinematography, the acting. Everything here is top notch. This is one of my all time favorite horror movies. You should definitely watch the second one. The same creative team came back for it, including the director. I'd say it's just as good as the first one. Parts 3 and 4 are a mixed bag, however. (James Wan did not return for them.) As far as James Wan (and his partner Leigh Whannell) are concerned, definitely consider watching Insidious, the first Saw (don't worry, it's not as gory and grotesque as the later sequels), and although it's not on the same level as those two films, Dead Silence is also a hell of a lot of fun. If you want something else on the same level, Sinister. It has to be Sinister. There was a study done a while back that called it the scariest horror movie ever made. I've seen well over a hundred horror movies at this point, and I'm pretty desensitized to the whole genre, even though I LOVE it, but Sinister actually stuck with me for DAYS after I watched it.
