This is a heads-up that I'm going to be changing how Elevation works soon.

The main change here is to make Elevations more consistent with the base layer. So now ALL elevations will behave the same as BASE elevation.

Meaning - If a Token is on the same elevation as a Wall, it will block vision. (The same as it does if you aren't using Elevation.)

This will change how you setup your maps - but it seems a worthwhile one, while also being consistent. (Why was it like the way it was before? I don't fully remember and I don't know where my notes are. I assume I thought it would be easier for the average person. But people seem to want more customization.)

Along with this change is another swap to settings. There is a new toggle for "Show Wall Menu" which will enable Advanced Wall Settings. I wanted this blocked off so people who aren't looking for this amount of customization aren't bothered with it. The "Wall Viewers" has been moved here. Setting a specific elevation for a wall is ALSO in there now. This is to help with some more complicated setups and give you some alternate ways to setup your maps.

You'll probably want to revisit how you draw maps. The previous suggestion of "Layering Elevations" still works, but it's probably not the best approach for complicated setups.

You could now just 'map' the area where tokens will be standing, and assign elevation to the walls individually - giving you a much larger degree of control.

Oh… that’s probably why I couldn’t get it to work before. I didn’t know I had to layer 😂 Well now it will work the way I thought it did! lol thanks!
