A movie that makes you say out loud… “Could you imagine!?” Why do you think that is?

I can tell you why. It FEELS real. Like you’re watching a slice of life. A homemade video, a vlog or a documentary without the talking heads. Discovered footage perhaps.

Regardless, what a piece of art! Scary as f**k art can I just add. I’ve been saying on this channel for years and finally, we’ve found the perfect project to demonstrate my point.

“70% of the picture is sound. You can get away with shitty visuals but you can’t with audio. One wrong move and you’re pulled from the experience. Why do you think Horror can get away with it?”

This movie is that!

Using digital cameras shooting at a whopping 480p, super sharp visuals mixed with digital artifacts. Digital grain because of the low light, blown out highlights where a nuke has exploded on the heads of actors. I could go on yet this movie, is stunning! The filmout process ready blended the look plus acted as I would call it, a plaster/bandage.

Stunning framing and every composition are full. Reflections galore! Did someone say Dutch angle, Dutch angle and Dutch angle. Oh my goodness, I’ve never seen so many Dutch angles but why? There are two reasons which I mention in the reaction but I want you to tell me or at least think about it please even if you don’t know the answer.

There is no such thing as a stupid question or answer, please remember that!

In the beginning I mention the first digital film and I say Star Wars Episode 5, I meant 2. I forgot Mr Lucas went arse about tit when writing the stories.

Are you ready for your ears to bleed? This one gets loud in places because that’s what Mr Boyle wanted but it also perfectly compliments the quiet sections. A soundscape mix that makes you believe you’re in the room with the RAGE yet you could hear a fairy fart. Funny I say that… Play the RAGING Tape.

WermalNihl27

Thanks so much for this man, haven't even watched the reaction yet but appreciate you diving into it. This movie blew my mind as a teenager and has stood out as an influence to my love of everything shitty looking since!

Galactic Knight

The church scene, withe the two head poking out. Gave me nightmares when I was a kid 😂😂😂 glad you watched it!

Thomas Jenner

God that church bit, i love when they do stuff like that in zombie films

pokelolo99

I remember this is main inspiration for walk dead comic books

This film always felt like Boyle was copying the Day of the Triffids 1981 series same scenario with our main character, same 80's look/camera style. (series can be found on you tube for anyone wanting a gander!)

PG tips monkey... last time i saw em they were tyna get that piano up the stairs 😂

carrot

..I swear I saw one on that piano in a leafy honky-tonk hall, dunkin into a cuppa in em new planet of the apes films 😂

Franks shot at the campsite with the heat haze is so cool. What a creative shot.

My favorite movie, perhaps. Maybe react to the whole franchise.? The 28 weeks later is an americanized sequel that goes for gore, 28 years later is a jarring experience but it works better after you've seen the next movie, and bone temple is just top cinema again, creative, sharp, disgusting and clockwork orange vibes.

ammogreed

I agree! Amongst a perfect cast even the soldiers are good, Hannah is just so flat all the time lol. Terrible acting.

Jake

28 years later is my favourite in the franchise. Danny boyle really didn't hold back in that one and brings his filming style and takes it to another level.

DefaultArk

They're not zombies, they have basically mad cow disease, so the way to beat the infection is to wait it out

Phryte

28 years later is very interesting from a filmmaking point of view. Terrible movie tho sadly

I've never seen The 6th Sense the proper way. When I was a kid my friend visited Estonia and brought a pirated version of it home and loaned it to me. It had horrible subtitles in Finnish (my language). They were so terribly and wrongly that I laughed from the beginning to the end because of it. Quality was bad too. I feel you in that way.

1:53:03. Damn! I had forgotten it. The pilot speaks Finnish at that time. He says: "Lähetätkö helikopterin?" which means: "Will you send a helicopter?" According to IMBD this is the reason: "In the end of the film, the pilot of the plane is speaking Finnish on the radio. This was done because the rented jet had the markings of the Finnish Air Force, which could not be changed. The very last words the pilot says are, "Lähetätkö helikopterin?" which means "Will you send a helicopter?""

One of my favorite stand up comedians Jimmy Carr uses the word cunt all the time. I love how he doesn't care and says what he wants.

They're not zombies, they're just regular people consumed by rage and running on adrenaline. They're not undead or anything of the sort so you don't have to shoot them in the head.
