The new PotA movies legitimately changed the icon of the franchise. Where it was Charlton Heston, now it's Caesar. & that's how you know a reboot did something right.

Like and comment before watching. 😊

Uhhh... Ceasar was in the old ones

chris brown

Been looking forward to this.

While yes, but also... No. They are 2 different characters in different time periods, with the only correlation between them is the name reference.

Munchies together strong.

Hello Munchies !! Ok the intro alone is funny as hell ! please don't use ivy as a shield !! (Use Cris instead !! 😈😜) . Euh Chi, how are you anti-war but pleased with killing when your evil Chi is here ? 😅 Anyway, if you need warrior, I'm here !! just need to take out dust from my sword 😈😜😜(joking It doesn't have dust....because I don't have sword...sadly😅) . anyway poor you, Chi trying to get the movie started with Ivy and Hella 😅. no really, the intro alone is golden !! let's see the movie I just discovered :every movie of the planet of the apes had his titles completley changed in french (and if you ask me, more easy) if we translate: "dawn" become "planet of the apes: origin, rise = "planet of the apes: confrontation" and this one "war of the apes: supremacy" . I guess the french translator was as lost as you with the english one and said "F*ck it, i'll do mine!"😅 "here I sleep forever" 😅 can I suggest "Evil Chi in there, don't wake up !" 😉 Cornelius sound familiar because one of the apes in the first planet-apes (the very first you saw) had one called like that. Nova too btw, she was the human woman. The name the colonel said when Caesar is captured are all famous (some great) military leader but rivals. Grant vs Lee (both general during the american civil war ), Wellington vs Napoléon (the napoleonic wars, fought one another at Waterloo in 1815, not far from here i live btw), Custer and Sitting bull (war between american and the native americans, fought each other at Little big horn in 1876). he's comparing himself and Caesar as both great leader ready to fight in a great battles. They love making biblical reference. A and omega = alpha and Omega. "the begining and the ending" that how God is called in the Apocalypse's book. Plus they crucified caesar... We can say many things about the colonel (mainly that he's without mercy), but he was clever enough to understand how things would end! (or he saw the first movie 😜). Morality: even in the end of the world, mankind is still killing each other , even when there's a bigger threat to fight....(ape or sickness) Munchies, I can't decide, when you do the sound of apes, If you sound more like an Apes or an owl, sorry....😅. "Binoculars" was the word you look for the things you look in to see further, the "telescope" as Hella said. Again, a fun time with you munchies! Thanks and have a nice day !!

Next is Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Hopefully there will be one more film after that to finally bridge this reboot franchise with the original films culminating in the arrival of Taylor.

1:53:45 Oh no Ivy is reverting to ape!

Thomas Simmons

I remember first seeing this one and being pleasantly surprised it wasn't what I was expecting it to be. Deep & thoughtful film.

chris brown

Great reaction as always looking forward to Kingdom.

Digitalversager

Hella's reaction to the scene with Bad Ape and the binoculars was hilarious.😅 This part is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, the apes' story is very interesting, and I like the direction the story is taking with the virus that's essentially devolving humans. On the other hand, the humans are just bland villains. Not even Woody Harrelson could give the colonel any interesting personality. I really like the newcomer, Bad Ape. Yes, he's a bit cowardly, but I like that he's so humanized; that he wears clothes and is often confused by the behavior of his more feral counterparts. César has reached the end of his story, and it was a great one. Now the apes have to cope without their great leader, with the brooding, grim look. That was, as always, a great reaction, ladies.💜

dorkVader

if leave out everyone else like categorizing them as npc and only think about Ceaser trying to make sense of everything and finding his purpose ever since kerna asks him the question, this will feel like best one of all parts

COCA-COLA 🗣🔥

At first, you might wonder about the inscription on a soldier's helmet, "Bedtime for Bonzo." - Ronald Reagan (40th US President) was an actor in a movie of that title, and Bonzo was the name of the monkey in the movie.

Proto Type

"I see you" ~ Hella 🥲

They definitely did the right thing by making it about Cesar and yeah, it was a smart move for a reboot. I have loved this franchise my whole life. I own all of them in blu ray and 4K but to be honest with myself, the new ones are really boring to me. The James Franco one is good. But I just can’t make myself care about anything that came after that first reboot. The humans are boring, and watching the apes is just boring too. I would rather watch the old ones, even when they get weird and bad, because at least they are interesting. I know I’m in the minority. It really bums me out because I want to like these new ones.

Hella, Cornelius was in the Original P of A,s,you all look Lovely.
