the rain’s still falling outside, heavy and laced with thunder, but inside, beneath the blankets, none of that matters. you’ve chosen your side, which is apparently just on me, and i have no complaints about that at all. it’s your bed after all, you make the rules here. i’m glad you wanted me to sleep over. i want to be here, it’s nice getting to spend the last moments of my day looking at you, talking to you, just being around you. i get to see this side of you no one else does, this window into your innermost world, and i’m so lucky you chose me as the person you want to show it to. if we aren’t careful, we’ll stay up all night just chatting, which is dangerous considering how early we have to wake up. i’ll try to be good and let us go to sleep, despite not wanting to in the slightest.
