I've been playtesting and polishing the game and the PCs are rendering animations.

16 animations remain in the render queue.

The speed right now is ~8 animations per week. A few demanding animations are left in the queue and some easy ones as well.

Based on this, it looks like beta testing will start in late October/early November.

Beta testing is allotted 2 weeks, but if great results are achieved earlier than that, the release date will be earlier too.

November is going to be the month of release, but at what date I can't say accurately yet.

Next Friday, I will post a preliminary changelog for Episode 6.

Have a nice weekend

evil_rooster

Hey guys, I know I have thrown a lot of theories out there and many are like spitballs just looking for one to stick, so to speak. But I started a new playthrough the other day and one of the banners at the beginning hit me strangely for the first time. "Even if your family loses you." or something very close to that. The letter Neil reveals to the MC peaked my interest like a bolt of lightning. Please take a moment to read and kind of digest my reasoning here. First, even though Lynette's father (I'll us GP for grandpa), doesn't like Neil and really despises the idea of his daughter being with him, he doesn't take drastic action to stop it. This suggests he's not all bad and has respect for his daughter and at least some respect for Neil to allow it to run it's course knowing it will end when the project ended. Okay, so let's imagine that Lynette was very successful at breaking away from the mansion or house without detection, didn't have to use credit cards or anything that would give herself away to her pursuers and that it was several hours or even the next day that GP became aware that she left. Neil and Lynette could have easily gotten far enough away that finding them was very, very difficult. So, the story almost becomes "happily-ever-after" until Lynette had trouble delivering and passed away. Neil could never reveal this to GP without fear of repercussions and unless they were close enough for local news to carry the story or obituary it might be months or years of searching before GP actually found evidence of what happened. I'm going to assume that he found out and was more hurt than furious and the punishment to Neil was that GP would never recognize his grandson as legitimately an heir of any sort. So years pass and as happens, GP begins to feel the sting of the loss of his daughter and realizes that his grandson could help to ease that pain a little. By luck or Karma, Neil is working on a new hotel and it turns out that years later it's a subsidiary of GP's original company or something similar. Out of the blue, he's found them and his grandson. Through contacts he's found that Neil did an excellent job of raising him, was able to prosper enough to raise his son and wasn't the complete loser he imagined. The letter is an attempt to reconcile a bit and to find out about the MC. Maybe GP is ill or just wants to make amends. 18 years is a long time and it's at least that long even if Lynette was pregnant when she joined Neil. Not gonna press further with what the letter might or might not say, but I think that this is a reasonable possibility given that GP wasn't a total asshole to Neil, Neil has always been a responsible father and the MC has a stellar rep with B&R. What does everyone think?

Bobscratch

I'm going with GP is dead and the letter in an inheritance letter from GP. Lynette was the last living heir of that family, MC gets GP's fortune. Maybe people at college start treating him differently because he's now a rich kid. He has to come to terms with going from poor to rich, etc. EDIT: Maybe not, MC talks about him and his dad when he was 16, "Back then it was just me and him.", possible foreshadowing that someone else will join them.

DogCat Studio

Yeah!!!! I am going to get episode 6 as my birthday present. Thanks DrPinkCake.

evil_rooster

Or that we haven't seen his choice or whether Neil picks up a wife or...too many possibilities. But that's an awesome point Bob, one I didn't look at. The fact that there is more family doesn't mean that anyone joins in a cohabitation type scenario, just relatives that he'd never known that change the dynamic. Again, though, awesome idea.

evil_rooster

Haha, good for you. Mines in Nov too. I was born on Thanksgiving Day while Dad ate turkey, Mom had one...lol. She told him to go home cuz he'd sat there for 18 straight hours and just when he got home. I popped out.

Brother Bethor

You're welcome! You are a happy man though. You will be waiting only 34 days for the release of CP2077. Some of us wait goddamn 7 years... :P

Paul Cormier

I like the theories and I think you are probably moving in the right direction with that letter. It could also have been a trust in Lynette's name that she wasn't yet old enough to have access to and with MC's birthday coming up...

Paul Cormier

A trust, depending on who set it up could be something that the grandpa couldn't do anything about

Allen0206

I don't think she was underage so I dont think it was desperate as you might think . My view was this was just her eloping with him once she found him. I think the letter may have been a trust set up MC or GP making an offer of paying for his college. I dont think he will come out a billionaire out of this but maybe a few100k+anaire out of it.

evil_rooster

I didn't mean she was underage at all. It clearly states she was 18 and Neil was 24. But I agree it wouldn't even be close to the same story if he were really rich, but it'd be nice to see if he could help Maya and get his own life together a little more easily as far as helping Dad and so forth. I like your idea about the trust. It might just be that because often the age isn't set at exactly 18 or whatever.

Gritty1983

Let's say it's an inheritance and MC is now rich.... what options you think dr. Pink will give us as to what to do with the money... fix the mansion? Help Maya out? Or unforseen possibilities that we don't know yet...

YikesBradley

No nut november shall be lost

evil_rooster

The thing I love the most about this story is that no matter whether MC is a Major D or Major C he is first and foremost a good friend and son. Sure, there are many things that DPC could allow him to do, but I think we all know he would take his own pleasure more from seeing others benefit. That's always the way I play him. He grew up knowing how much little things meant. He doesn't have to have the world at his feet to be happy. So specifically, in order of precedence I think it would be Dad's home, Maya, DIK house renovations. Who knows what else. In fact as stupid as it may sound I think if he found that he could bail Quinn out of real danger with the drug folks, he would. Just saying that's the kind of person I want to believe he is.

Gritty1983

now that i think about it using it for the dik house would be stupid. He made his big speech about working hard and building the house back up as a family. Oh god if he helped Quinn!? That DIK meter will def be going toward the left if you choose that. I think you are right, he will help his dad first, then i think Maya would be next.

MattinVegas

Sounds like its going to be a very happy thanksgiving!

evil_rooster

I deleted my first reply to be more specific here. I'm only talking about helping Quinn if the criminal element surfaces a la "Acting Lessons" style. Threats of taking the money by prostituting the girls outside of campus or something dark like that. As far as helping rebuild the frat house, the resources I would use would be for teaching the guys how to do stuff that would lead to better income in community projects not simply going back to the old ways. The DIK house could become a successful handyman sort of business, small but profitable jobs for them once they know their stuff. And also a way to "service the ladies"...lol.

J.M.R.

So many possible outcomes!!!! Can't wait to play ep 6 Dr. PK...Thank you so much!!!!

Bobscratch

I would say the game would give maybe just enough fortune that you have to make a choice between everybody, or only choose a couple: Help dad out, help frat out, help Maya out, help Quinn & Riona out. And since it's being a DIK, you can blow the whole thing at the strip club.

Bobscratch

Thank you, the only flaw I see with the inheritance theory is that I thought I could see Lynette and Neil's story reflected in MC's and Jill's story. If MC is suddenly rich, there suddenly isn't the conflict that was in Lynette and Neil's relationship. Maybe Jill's dad has the same reservations about MC that Lynette's did, and the inheritance solves that. Maybe MC is suddenly richer than a Royce, and we see an jealous side of Jill that we never knew before. Or more likely, MC is forced into a situation that reminds Jill of Rusty, and she's worried with money MC is going to go into a bubble like Rusty. Just my thoughts. EDIT: Also, I replayed ep 1 recently, GP may be setting up and foreshadowing to be a more diabolical character. We'll know soon!

michael feltz

there is also the possability that the MC is either a royce or burgmeister and that would throw things for a loop with jill or rusty. but i agree the letter is probably about a trust fund for the MC from either the GP or GM, and an attempt to start a relationship with their grandson later in his life.

evil_rooster

Bob you are awesome at dissecting the situation. I agree with a lot of what you post even within some of my own ideas as being a sort of moderator to them. You know my first impression is simply that we all know a lot of Lotto winners are broke in 2 or 3 years because having real money (assets vs free cash) takes practice, willpower and knowledge to manage. That's what's usually the problem. Maybe MC is smart enough to know this a goes to Jill or Sage to get help managing his newfound windfall. I think that's a possible scenario or that one or both of them warn him of the dangers of his actions and it causes a rift between them that actually forces them closer in the end. Isabella is no stranger to money either it seems. But I agree, the biggest obstacle for MC is to remain the grounded guy he seems to be in spite of a change in economic status. But my greatest two wishes are for Neil to get out from under the paycheck-to-paycheck world he lives in and for Maya to finally realize the freedom she so richly deserves...no matter who her love interest is her biggest obstacle is self-respect and self-confidence. Self-respect in the sense of realizing what a wonderful person she is and deal with people accordingly.

Gritty1983

hey tim and bob...what are your theories on Vinny? Why do you two think he left B & R. Nick mentions Vinny didn't come to college for an education. However, that does not explain why he left really. Do you think once Quinn joined the HOTS and began manipulating Tommy with the drugs n such, Vinny maybe did not like that? The only two DIKS that even mention Vinny are Nick and Rusty if i recall correctly. Do you both think Vinny will play a role in the "present" day story as opposed to flashbacks? I am guessing Tommy and Vinny do not like each other, Tommy is tough to like. I think the MC and Vinny have things in common and both are not shy to fill the leadership role for the DIKS, I'd love to see them become friends. If Vinny was still a DIK there is NO way the events after the pledge board ceremony would have went down that way. Vinny would've questioned Tommys impulsive judgement in my opinion. Thoughts?

evil_rooster

You bring up some of the best topics Gritty. I'm gonna answer your question in a sort of roundabout way, but only because I'm kind of spitballing without taking a lot of time to think. First, the number of episodes left in season 2 allows for a lot of characters to be fleshed out in any number of ways. The ones I think will have more to do with the plot than the others are Neil, Vinny, Maya's Dad and someone from MC's family and one that is already there but sort of under the radar, Troy. I think that there maybe a connection between Troy's and Vinny's departure from the scene (one from frat to dorms and the other out of school). There seems to be a bit of behind the scenes mystery going with the drama in the counsellor's office. Was a deal made that kept Troy in school similarly to Chad and Vinny got the boot because he was a lowly DIK? Meaning Vinny could leave voluntarily or face the consequences and Troy was spared? I think this steroid/drug thing is a lot more widespread as a criminal element at B&R than just Quinn and the Jocks. Where the MC fits in is anyone's guess but in several playthroughs I've allowed him to have interest in Quinn and I think he might crack that hardened exterior of Quinn's. He has a way with everyone. His persona reminds me of a book I read years ago called Emotional Intelligence.by Daniel Goleman and it has recently been updated. His theory is that some of the most successful people may not be intellectual geniuses, but emotionally connected to just about everyone they meet in sort of a mystical connection. I bring this up because of the way he just seems to wing it in so many situations and he's nearly spot-on with his comments/actions. I think that's why he can move from DIK to HoT to Jill/Bella and even to some extent the nerds. It's certainly apparent with people who feel like outcasts of a sort, Maya, Zoey and even Sage. Sage in my opinion is one of the deepest characters. Here's a beautiful girl who likes bad boys, being a slut (joking-way more to it than that label), intelligent, understanding, tempestuous or mercurial and far more loving than it appears. In my opinion, she is head-over-heels in love with the MC. The only one who is. I say this because I think refusing to acknowledge Chad has moved on is a cover to avoid breaking down over the MC's relationships with others. She says all the right things to be uniniterested, but look at how upset she got when she thought she might have offended him unintentionally, how she looks at him when they meet in the yard after the Prep party. She's definitely way more interested in the MC than she says. And where does Chad fit in the story from here on out? I'm kind of in stream of consciousness mode right now so I apologize if I jump from subject to subject, but I used to write fan fiction years ago and that's the way I found to get the most out of a session. No censorship of ideas until editing. So sorry to everyone if I just ramble. Done for now so this gets posted before the next episode comes out...lol Edit: Sage's acknoledgement that MC and Maya have a mutual thing was innocent in a very jealous way. Not the angry jealousy that most people think of but the kind like Maya feels over Pete's and Josy's relationship. She wants to be loved the way she sees the MC care for Maya. Maybe she doesn't love the MC as much as I previously stated, but she sure sees a guy capable of giving her the things she needs to be happy--her sensuality, kindness, toughness, playfulness and intellgience.) Okay done again...I think...lol

Gritty1983

It took me multiple playthroughs to notice Troy in the scene after Tommy gets beat up by the jocks. I think it's clear Chad is gay and uses Sage as a cover so people do not find out. Chad I am sure was "sexting" Troy in the locker room when MC spied on him. Chad gets angry every time the MC pops a gay joke on him, he punches Anthony in the stomach after he agrees with MCs joke on the subject and when you insult him from the mansion after the jock incident. I would be surprised to see a connection between troy and Vinny. I think maybe the jocks found out Troy was gay and kicked him out of the frat? The jocks stole the guitar from Troys room but we do not know if Chad was involved directly or not. You are right though, we will hear from Troy again and whether or not you chose to beat him up in the dorm will have some impact. I actually like Quinn, her character is complex and i like complex. When the Hots enter the scene after the cumpetition and before the dildo window scene, Quinn stops Maya from kissing you, you can tell it was more than her correcting Maya and more of her being jealous. If you do the scene wither her and Riona, the part where the MC grabs her chin and goes to kiss her, her reaction is stunned, then she quickly recovers and yells and Riona. the whole rooftop scene, the part where Sage questions you (if you stayed with her after episode 3) if you like Quinn or not, and says Quinn has been going on and on about the MC behind the scenes. I have this strange theory that DPC will ADD a 6th character the MC can actually be with. So at episode end you will see 6 girls instead of 5 and Quinn will be that 6th. I am prolly way off on it being Quinn but i do think DPC will add another option, maybe Nicole as well would be a good choice. Sage may be best for MC in terms of feelings but Melanie and Sarah are going to cause problems between them soon. In some ways i think Sarah is actually more evil than Quinn. Quinn likes to fuck with people, Sarah is just mean lol. oh one other thing remember my theory on the nerds being behind the scenes causing chaos? When you are at the DIK party to do the shots against Derek, in the scene where Sage asks you to dance with her, look who is dancing in the background.... the ONLY time you see a 'nerd' at a DIK party, Sally. She's evil, so is Magnar or whatever his name is, the guy she worships

evil_rooster

One reason I don't get specific about Vinny is that the first portion of Ep. 5 is the only part I found boring and very tedious. I just didn't pay much attention and most times I skip through it, but to get a clear picture I'll go back and play it straight and think carefully about it.

evil_rooster

Concerning Josy, Quinn, Maya and Sage there is a real storm brewing there. One thing for sure is that if your assumptions about Quinn's feeling for the MC is correct, she is trying ro derail Maya with just about every trick in the book. I see it and it makes me nervous because Maya to me is the only lamb in the story among wolves and she-wolves. I think she is the sweetest character I've seen in just about any vidgame. Just saying. Josy is willing to tear Maya away from the MC in order to have someone to love. If you play through with the MC chosing to love both girls and them declining, follow both of them. MC tells Maya nothing has changed his feelings for her and he will be there for her no matter what and at first she's confused, but....storm's brewing...like I said. Already covered Sage. Quinn is bisexual and I think it might be the first time a guy has really turned her head in any kind of romantic way. That's why she torments Maya. Don't know where that one's going...but the winds are picking up....lol.

Linthy the fox

Im hyped and excited for ep 6 too I love how most episodes leave you with a cliffhanger makes it more exciting and hyped up for the next ep amazing story with you on that too huge thank you so much DPC

Harper Francine Jones

This is the first Patreon i've ever joined because I just need to know the details for the next episodes for this game haha it's addicting

Dwight Schrute

Harper, couldn't agree more! The story is so well written, completely addicted!

Maxyoo28

Thanks for ruining No Nut November, not that I'm complaining x)

Paul Cormier

saying that this is addicting seems like an understatement! I can't tell you how many hours I have into it just exploring the consequences of each decision. I think a lot of the consequences won't even materialize until 3 or 4 episodes further along.

Paul Cormier

does anyone else have 10 or more saves for the end of episode 5 just in anticipation of the next episode. I feel like I am a bit crazy with how obsessed I got with this story and the intricacies of each of your choices and affinities as well as status. It seems weird that you can have a status at one extreme and an affiliation at the other.

Bobscratch

In regards to MC & money management w/ Jill (possibly Sage/Bella), maybe that's a role the economics class Jill suggests plays in later games, the higher you score in economics, the less money you blow. In regards to MC staying grounded after getting rich, that thought crossed my mind during ep5, a possible scenario is MC just made this speech about being independent and working for the right to have the fraternity instead of having it delivered on a sliver platter, suddenly he's rich, does he stick to his values or does he take the easy way out? In regards to Vinny, one thing I noticed was during the flashback at the beginning of ep5, when Vinny makes his speech he strikes a valiant pose on the mansion staircase. MC strikes the exact same pose at the end of ep5 when he makes his speech. Tommy even tries to shut them both up before they make it, and now MC is moving into Vinny's old room. I bet we get a "You really remind me of Vinny" scene from Nick. I'm not sure how big of a role Vinny will play, I noted he didn't have a profile in your phone app, but maybe that will come after you meet him in person. I bet he'll stop by the mansion at some point, unless....as far as what Vinny did, it's stated that he dropped out. I can't remember but I think Nick said Vinny wasn't there for an education, but for the parties (or maybe that was Derek). I do remember how Vinny would one-up every board challenge he had, "If he had a Gay Guard Catcher challenge, he would do it w/o a mask", etc, like he had a self destructive behavior of, "Oh, you think you can humiliate me? Fuck you, I can humiliate me twice as much as you". He trashed the library, spray painted the walls, he doesn't give a fuck. Based on that self destructive behavior, I would say that he and Tommy actually got along together because they're both unstoppable forces and they understand that self-destructive need, but they probably fought a lot because they're hot-headed. I also saw that after Vinny's speech, Vinny and Tommy gravitated to each other in the background and smoked, another self destructive behavior they share, while the two chiller dudes Nick and Rusty gravitated to the foreground. Tommy got Vinny caught up in herion, and Vinny dropped out. Now Tommy's doing the same with MC, slowly seeing if MC is going to be able to run with him and Quinn and whoever else, he's getting him to smoke weed, he's testing the waters to see how corruptible MC is. In regards to Chad, one of the jocks said that they ran into Chad and he seemed happy, they never saw him as a positive guy. My first playthu I came to the "Chad is gay" theory, but based on the end of ep5 with Sarah & Melanie I'm thinking Chad is either cheating with Sarah, Melanie, or Quinn (more on why Quinn later). I'm now going with the theory that Chad is a more complex character than on the surface, that he feels guilty about cheating on Sage and that's why he won't sleep with her, guilty about cheating with steroids, and now that he's out of the frat he's stopping steroids and not having roid rage anymore, but most of all he doesn't have the guilt of being a cheater hanging over him anymore. Either that, or he can finally come out of the closet and be himself now that's he's left the frat. Regarding Troy, I think that rejects or outcasts from all the frats get together and form either a frat or some kind of alliance. Maybe Chad will be their president. Maybe MC will rise to President but then get framed for something similar to the Cathy rooster post and be expelled from the frat. What's interesting to note is that each frat has a relationship meter with MC. AFAIK DIKs is the only one you can make positive or negative, the other frats you can only lose points with them, usually when insulting the president in front of the entire frat. I'm thinking down the road the frats are going to have to work together and you'll have more choices if you didn't do things that lower that score, like mocking Tybalt in front of the preps, defending Chad in Burke's office, etc. Regarding Quinn and the Nerds, my first playthru I arrived at the "The Nerds are the secret puppetmasters/illuminati/masterminds of B&R". I still haven't ruled out that theory, it is a comedy game, and the thought of Magnar being the evil mastermind is very funny. But based on Quinn's story, I think that she's the one trying to be the mastermind and the tri-betas, if we're talking in terms of Dungeons and Gremlins, are True Neutrals, they take no sides and sell their services to whatever frat can pay them. I think it was Quinn behind the Cathy rooster post, I think she hired the nerds to help with that, I think she's the one Chad's cheating on with, I think she sent those photos to Chad and Dawe, and I think she's trying to sow as much chaos as possible to be able to manipulate as many people as possible and become some kind of prostitution-drug-blackmailing crime overlord. And I also think that's why she doesn't have a window pane at the end of an episode, I think the story is being built so your relationship with Quinn can only go in one direction, regardless of the choices you make. I think that she does have feelings for MC, but since she's made too many Dik choices in her life, her Dik/Chick meter is whittled down so far that she can't get any further into Chick territory than neutral. So when she has feelings for MC, it makes her feel vulnerable, and she thinks that's a weakness. Think of a 4th grade boy that develops a crush on a girl, doesn't know how to express what he's feeling, so he pulls her hair. Quinn doesn't know how to process these feelings so she resorts to manipulation. MC finds out the extent of her betrayals to her sisters and to MC, and MC doesn't want to talk to her anymore.

evil_rooster

Hey @Gritty1983 i said i'd do a play through with attention on Vinny and I did. i think you're have the right idea. I'm not sure he's a shady kind of character in the dangerous sort of way that the thugs in Acting Lessons were, but I do think his involvement with the "sources" or "Contacts" can't remember which word he used could turn out to be ugly. He strikes me as someone who would be a very good ally against anyone trying to hurt his frat bros though. And during that run I also became a fan of your "gay Chad". I just am too straight to think of Troy as a panty type of gay guy. Yet, transvestite and/or transexual would be the only members of the LBGTQ community missing. Dawe is just too stupid to recognizze the signs in my opinion and those that tossed Troy may have graduated already. Man, I love this story because every time you see a scene something else seems to pop up. For example, what if the conversation between Jill and Bella was both a confession of how things came up between the MC and Bella (not all the nitty gritty of the day b4) but of the drunken kiss and how it made Bella feel, which could have brought up a past romantic night between the two of them that Bella mentions she stopped during the intro to the last library scene when MC kisses her. At first I thought that was about with Jade and Stephen, now I'm sure it was a night with Jill. Jill may be just as confused as Maya in some ways because she can't trust men to be honest about their feeliings. Now that she's met and understands the motives of the MC better I think that might have been why she brought it up to Bella and Bella just doesn't allow herself to have those thoughts often. Again, a ramble, I'm sorry. Some of that may make sense some of it may not. I just know that the MC is a very lucky man in a non-sarcastic way. Most of these women have open and honest feelings for him and if he doesn't go stupid and try to be everything to all of them, he'll benefit greatly in my opinion.

evil_rooster

Interesting thoughts, but I think Quinn is more vulnerable than you do. In fact I think that some of her persona is that of someone who was once bullied into becoming a very attractive tough bitch. She pushes everyone to keep them at arm's length and only Sage has given her a reason to feel good, but she's not a loyal person to anyone but herself. She is lonely as hell and that's why she stayed so comfortably with the MC after sex on the roof. He cracked the I hate everyone facade. I get your Vinny/Tommy thing but I won't let the MC get involved in the drug scene unless my choice to start that path is a forced one by the game. I get it, if it is. That's why it's a permanent penalty to Chick. Like I just mentioned in my post answering Gritty1983, I love the way that DPC shows the story and doesn't tell it, so to speak. It's up to you to take initiative with what you see and "hear" to determine your own path.

Bobscratch

Yeah you're right, she was definitely hurt when Tommy said he was done with her in ep5, she's not as heartless as I initially thought

evil_rooster

I wake up expecting to see Bella bringing coffee to my couch sometimes....lol...j/k...But yeah I play it at least every other day hoping to find a nugget or two to unravel the mysteries buried in the characters. I've found that each play through if you take a different path and plan to get your score to a different point than before can add interesting dialog that kind of tickles the WTF nerve...lol

Seeker

i basically have 2 paths saved The Maya and Jose Sandwich and the Friend Route to focus on Jill and Sage. I would choose Maya over Jose if it comes to that. A cool plot line would be resolving Maya's issues with her father by having a Guy/Girl relationship which Lesbianism seems to be part of their issue.

Paul Cormier

I have the Maya & Josy both ways (friends & something more), and have Jill & Sage still active with both of those. I tried the Josy & Maya as friends with them rejecting me as well as me rejecting them just to see how the interactions changed in episode 5. I still think it would be cool if the friends path could be rekindled into something more later in the story. I think the interactions between the 3 characters in episode 3 suggest that as a possibility. I also have these variations with more interactions with other characters and with less, and even no interactions with other characters. I think somehow those interactions will come back to haunt you late in the story.

純 許

Nice game !!! i love it <3

How do you get them to reject you? I tried becoming a Massive Dik before talking to them and they still accepted me. I have to turn them down to get the friend zone. I saw them rejecting you after whispering - happen in a playthrough vid but no idea how to do it.

Gritty1983

Choose not to help Maya with the hunt, purposely get caught checking out Maya and josy, say the crude stuff to them. Buy josy chocolates for dinner and say you like beer not wine

Tim, Bob this is truly a pleasure. I think the 3 of us are going to be breaking down scenes all the way until the last frame and the end. I wonder if DPC reads these and just laughs at all the creative theories we have!! Great points from both of you. I forgot to mention this, Prediction.... we are going to see a flashback of Quinn and Riona when they arrived as rejects and i bet Quinn looks NOTHING like she does now!! You know DPC is not going to end this story without filling every last jigsaw piece!! So i know we are going to see flashbacks of Quinn joining the HOTS and maybe we will see how all the dominos lined up just right for the MC to enter the scene. DPC is also a master of sleight of hand, he fooled the shit out of all of us in acting lessons! We all were looking in one direction as to who the true villain was only to find a brick hit us in the face and we were all soooo wrong! Quinn may be painted as a villain now but no way she is the "big bad" of this story, i think she is the one DPC wants us to think is the villain... we are no fools! We will crack this thing before the last episode lol

Awe poor girls missing out on all the good make up sex...lol...j/k. Yeah, I thought about that but...well, crap you're right. I haven't gone that avenue and I was bragging about all the different stuff I tried. I'll give it a go.

This is going to sound really kind of weird, but I grew up as a teenager in the '70s when screwing around was even more prevalent (no AIDS yet, just after or during the Hippie free love days). Lots of rumors about people and their orgies and very kinky things. I wasn't one of the participants in any really wild stuff, but I knew those who were. I only bring this up because I have a huge soft spot lately for Quinn. She reminds me of a girl back then who everyone gravitated toward but a rumor about her and a coworker's brother and friends brought her to tears and she ran out. I defended her because she as popular as she was, she was always a lady with me even drunk. A year later, it ended up with the two of us sitting with some Schnapp's and coffee in my kitchen when my parents were gone and she confessed that it had been true. She'd done it because it was cool to feel like everyone wanted her. It had changed her over that year. She started acting out sexually with a lot of guys and even with a girl. She asked me that night why I never made a move on her and if it was because I thought she was dirty or somethng. I told her that I always cared for her too much to treat her the way others did. The discussion after that it too long and heated to relate here, but she was mad as hell at me for being attracted to her and never speaking up. It was a very unpleasant ending to a friendship. So, I see Quinn here as someone who has always been mistaken for something she's not and she just decided to become someone people couldn't completely understand. I think Quinn has been hurt and it will never happen again and her life is on her terms because of it. I see the MC being the one to prove her wrong....just a thought.

I like coming up with and banking on really far fetched and crazy theories even if they're hardly ever right. I'm currently on an unexpected third playthru gathering evidence for the theory that Maya's Dad is part of a religious cult who's members identify themselves with an X scar underneath their left eye.

evil_rooster

Okaaaaay....lol. I'm not sure if you're joking or if you saw something in a picture, but that certainly qualifies for the categories you mentioned, far-fetched and crazy. The couple of crazy ones I have mentioned, the undead mother--wait I mean the one where Lynette is still alive and her death was faked qualifies. But the undead mother would be a great Halloween episode. How about Isabella hiding her husband's dead body in that room that she chopped up with the axe from the pool house.Or that she entices men to play until she has no use for them except fertilizer for her plants. Or that Bella's the secret owner of The Pink Rose and is actually the drug dealing Madame behind Quinn....hmm....I wonder.

Paul Cormier

your affinity affects it too as it does with other characters and available choices. thus far in the story, I have found that I have more choices available with neutral affinity, but there are times (like when you're on your first date with Josy) that an option is grayed out for neutral affinity but available with DIK, CHICK, or both affinities.

Bobscratch

I was wondering if anyone else found that axe. Those boots are very clean too. When MC tried to peek under the door, there appeared to be shoes in the darkness. I'm hoping that DPC is using Bella as a rug-pull, DPC knows that people have played acting lessons so they're examining the characters in BAD closely. I hope that there's a logical explanation for all the foreshadowing that doesn't involve Bella being an axe murderer, and it turns out to be someone completely unexpected, like Jill or Zoey or something.

Bobscratch

Oh, and I'm kind of joking kind of serious for the Maya's dad theory. I have a massive chick and a massive dik save, and I've been debating whether or not to do a neutral save. I saw that scar on Maya's dad and on an unnamed guest at the party in ep 5. The conversation in ep 5 with said guest doesn't involve MC, doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything, and I've just been burning with curiosity as to why it was added to the script at all. I'm now using that excuse for a neutral playthru, I'm going to be paying close attention to what's going on in the background in scenes to see what I've missed in earlier playthrus. But I'm not really that serious about the theory, I think either it was Maya's dad and I didn't recognize him (which I doubt), or it was something technical, like DPC borrowed the model from Maya's dad to make a generic character in ep 5. Speaking of which, was it ever established which one of those people at the party was Sage's dad? I'm torn between the red-haired guy and the obnoxious dude in the blue suit with the dark beard.

evil_rooster

I'm not sure what Sage's last name is, but Johnson keeps sticking in my head. I think her dad is the one with the tied back mini-ponytail. Red-hair, sort of jovial and certainly more socially adept and less priggish than the other fellas. That kind of describes Sage too if you project her dad being really wealthy since Quinn remarks that Sage should use her dad as a sponsor. I mean that triggered Sage hard. Considering how much she likes Quinn, she really doesn't like to be associated with money by anyone including someone she cares about as a friend. Add into the mix that at least 3 of the presidents of Greek houses have wealthy families. I wonder where Beaver-face Magnar is there...just saying he reminds me of Bucky the Beaver...lol

Mellee

hahahahah i have so many different play throughs i just now found out you can have some extra fun with lily :/ dr pinkcake is brilliantly sneaky hahahahah

evil_rooster

Tie in Tickler, whichever of the girls was left in the house is Jill's sister.

Dentheman

Please elaborate 😉

Paul Cormier

I have found 2 interactions with her (that weren't in the club) in different episodes (the second was in episode 5). And I agree with you about DPC. If it weren't for the artwork and animations I would have wondered if DPC wasn't a professional shrink or social worker IRL. The psychological impact of DPC's work is mind blowing. Of course, it's also possible that I have the mind of a child and am easily manipulated ;-)

Paul Cormier

let me know if you haven't figured it out yet and I'll give you a more direct answer (didn't want to totally spoil your fun).

Mellee

o the interaction with lily is at the house party episode 5 when you go looking for the hots. i only figured it out because i commented on her rooster post regarding her wanting some tequila which you get at the party and i also noticed lil miss head doctor didnt offer me any action on the patio and i think its because i told her that her breasts were to small. so yes DPC is very crafty and sneaky hahahahah

Mellee

but yes dentheman you have a scene with lily if you get her tequila hahah

I have a question: Does Doc have a backup plan in case Patreon is in trouble? (heard some things) I´m asking simply because I like the Dev and the project

Nicholas Nyarach

What do you mean by 'Patreon might be in trouble'

MRG101

There are may or may not be some lawsuits coming. That´s all I know.

evil_rooster

Hey, Paul I'm sure he has some training as a counselor simply because of his choice of name. I knew a guy who was so brilliant he completed a NASA quantum physics problem to 25% in 3 hours. It had taken them 3 months to figure it out...lol. So for DPC to be a shrink and teach himself programming ... child's play. Just saying. Also, I've worked as a volunteer with a couple of projects alongside Doctors and Social Workers. The personalities and characters are too well developed for me to believe he his not or at least uses a consultant for accuracy. Oh, that guy I mentioned didn't have a perfect GPA because he got bored one semester and got a B in Ballroom Dance....lol. His nickname in our frat was Brain.

evil_rooster

I tried to edit the last one but it won't let me. Edit: Now the edit shows up. Leaving this one in anyway. Anyway, the biggest reason is that I worked alongside a few mental health professionals doing volunteer work on the recommendation of my own doctor. There are tells in the way the personalities and character behavior hits to close to reality unless he uses a consultant for accuracy in those areas. And there doesn't seem to be any judgemental factors that a layman might inadvertently use. Just saying.

Paul Cormier

Yeah, AL just had too many intricate personal and behavioral interactions for me to believe otherwise. BaDIK has this intricate dual level personality rating system that's so intertwined with the story and choices. This is just too sophisticated to believe that they are just a programmer/animator.

Paul Cormier

BTW Timothy, I almost responded to you as bro, before, but then I realized that you might be an ass man instead LOL. I literally changed my reply there just because I got tired of hearing ass-man all the time :-)

Paul Cormier

Mellee, if you stay with Sage, you can interact with Lily in the sauna during the free roam

Paul Cormier

Timothy, you used the male pronoun for DPC. Do we know that for sure, or was that just convenient? I was curious, but couldn't find anything to indicate one way or the other.

HappyHuman

Hard to imagine they'd get sued out of existence. I think if there were a big ruling against Patreon, most likely they'd end up tweaking their terms of service, and then creators would each have to make their own stay/go decision.

MRG101

Mabye they do mabye they don´t. It never hurts to have a backup plan

Djoekjema

This topic is awesome.

Djoekjema

If so, I hope they tell us in time for DPC to come up with a plan. Might be a lot of people stay to back him somehow I hope. If some of you have read 'the wheel of time' series? The author died before completion and had another author finish his work for him. It was a perfect backup and I enjoyed the last book. (app. 13 books).
