Hi everyone! Tomorrow is our live class - 12 PM MST

The picture above had the most votes and I can’t wait to show you how to paint this beautiful scene with a focus on wet into wet.

I'll be using a size 4 and 10 round brush, a piece of arches 140lb coldpress paper size 5 x7” taped down, and my split primary palette (cad yellow, cad red, ultramarine blue, magenta, lemon yellow, cerulean, indigo and sap green)

If you can’t make the live class, don’t worry! All classes are recorded and available to watch any time after the stream ends.

The link for the live class will be posted tomorrow morning and you’ll be able to click the link and join at 12 PM MST when the class starts.

Let me know what questions you have! Can’t wait to paint with you

Thank you, I am excited to join my first live class! I do have a question about mixing paints. I have difficulty getting a strong pigment (not too watery) when I am mixing two colors together. Is there a trick to getting it closer to the intensity of the unmixed colors on my palette? Will mixed colors always end up more watery, and it's something to learn to work with? Thanks again, you are making a very cold January lot of fun!!

Anwar Molani

Oh gosh! I have so many photos of similar colour complexities that I have been afraid to tackle in watercolour. So, so looking forward to this lesson - via the video (on Thursday) Thank you, Kristen.

Camille

I watch Kristen and she mixes very small amounts, that way you can manipulate it easier. Remember also that the paint dries lighter so learn on the richer side when mixing. That's what I'm understanding

Veronique

Joining you for the first time from UK Cotswolds
