Splatter goldenrod flowers for #13! There is quite a bit of wet into wet with this one, so it goes fast, but combining wet into wet and platter texture is a fun way to paint organic shapes in nature. Watch all the way through first to get an idea of how quick it goes and practice your splatter texture beforehand. Smaller brushes = finer splatter, larger brushes = bigger blobs. Both work well for this painting as we balance the finer textures and the larger shapes to create flowers. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.
Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, magenta, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, sap green and ultramarine blue.
Brushes: round 4 & 10, rigger size 1 - Princeton brand.
