Snowy gloves for 16! We're using the indent technique again to create the knit texture in the gloves and the lines in the jacket. The key to this technique is to do the indents while the paper is still wet. Try using a smaller object if you're struggling to get lines thin enough with the back end of your brush. Don't worry about pushing down too hard, a very light push into the paper is all you need, and try not to over think the knit texture and just place the v shapes as fast as you can while the gloves stay wet. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, magenta, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, cerulean, and indigo.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton brand.

Hahahahaa. This is a Great picture for us living thru the Blizzard! Got over 30” here in my corner of Rhode Island. Perfect project to paint on a snowed in day.

This is so cute! Looking forward to giving this a go tonight (even though I'm a diehard Southern Californian who is so over our "winter" right now LOL).

My thoughts exactly from 25 inches on Long Island!

I am one of the “My Brush Is Not Pointy” people. I use a dip/nib pen and it’s brilliant. And there are different nibs, if you wanted to try that.

This was was fun to do and it wasn't as hard as some of the others. No blizzard here in No. California. Thinking of all of you on the east coast!

Theresa (Terri K)

What is a dip nib pen? I’ve never heard of one.

We have at least 2 more months of crappy weather here in the north east NY. Snowed again today here. Not a lot this time but it just doesn’t stop

So much to see the snow form with shadows! 💕
