Hi everyone! Tomorrow is our live class - Monday, April 27th 1 PM AZ time

The picture above had the most votes and I can’t wait to show you how to paint this beautiful scene with a focus on textures.

Materials:

paper- I'll be using a 4X6" piece of arches watercolor paper, taped down.

paint- Bring any paints that you prefer, I'll be using the W&N limited palette of cad yellow, cad red, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, perm rose, cerulean, indigo and sap green.

brushes- We'll be using our regular brushes, size 4 and 10 round, and also a rigger or liner brush size 1.

I think this picture will make great use of all of our dry brush skills we've been working on this month. Water, wood, grassy texture, and everything in between!

If you can’t make the live class, don’t worry! All classes are recorded and available to watch any time after the stream ends.

The link for the live class will be posted tomorrow morning and you’ll be able to click the link and join at 1 PM AZ time when the class starts.

Let me know what questions you have! Can’t wait to paint with you

I can’t make it to the live but can you please at the start explain your process when starting a painting. I would like to know how to determine where to start. Is it based on tonal variations?

Anita Stolk

So not today (Monday), but tomorrow (Tuesday)?

Kristin Van Leuven

The live class is today, Monday April 27th. I posted this last night, so the "tomorrow" is referencing today

Kristin Van Leuven

Yes! I make sure to explain the process as I go so it's clear why I'm doing something. The start of the process depends a lot on the picture we're painting

Anita Stolk

Oh yes! I was too hasty! I read 28th in another, but that’s for the May schedule. Sorry for confusing you

Kristin Van Leuven

No Vicki, you're actually 3 hours ahead so it's 4 PM for eastern time
