Gradient flowers for #65! I'm so excited for this tutorial because in this painting we are able to do a gradient and variegated wash at the same time. The variegated wash is applied over and over again over the top of the masking fluid, allowing for deeper and more intensifying pigments. The continual layers of the variegated wash with the application of masking fluid also creates a gradient! You can use any colors you want and create different flower shapes that are more or less specific than mine. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Masking: I'm using winsor and newton pigmented masking fluid

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - Perm rose, cad yellow, ultramarine blue, and sap green

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton
