nathan sitting there like he's not the one who walks dogs for a living

happylinlin00

after the first case i could hear murph saying "you got bullied" lmao

Michael Graham Abernathy

I love Jake saying, "I'd be touching the coin if anyone came after my mom," when Hardwon was the one that doomed his own mom. Lol

PerculiarPen

With the dungeon meshi comparison tho they dont actually eat human looking monsters bc three of the party members think its weird but laios is a freak and wants to try everything. Also eating human can cause you to like shake and stuff bc your brain has trouble comprehending whats happening i think. Also the body’s like “this is too similar” so I can see the argument for rolling con but i think it should be something other than poisoning.

Emmitt McNaughton

Punishment of the Spiritual Weapon story shoulda been "dodge this hammer". Dodgeball movie punishment. Big missed opportunity 🏐🔨🔧

Nolan Childerhose

Just in time to put on while I work. Crit is now in session!

Winged Thief

my day is so blessed by this continued naddpod-drawfee fusion 😌

Draven_the_crow

lunch break gang also favorite podcast no court session needed to know that!

Nick Spivey

The parents are out of town vibe continues! Such a good episode so far!!

Nathan Poulson

My name is also Nathan, my nickname is Nathis.. dubbed by the stepson when he was around 5. And couldn't say my name right sometimes lol

Nolan Childerhose

Also that last bunch can try to face off against Harpy eagle, the largest eagle in the world.

Jordan French

You can totally get a disease from eating people. It's called Kuru and it doesn't fuck around

1man2hands

The first hour of Moana did make me cry also

Suzanna DePeri

Im glad others relate to crying during the first number of Moana

HalfLighter

Punishing a player for adding flavor to their attacks should carry the death penalty.

Alex Kosnett

“They’re just like us!”

Eric Thibault

What was the movie Julia watched? It sounds awful and I want to see it

BuffVenom

"... like Naruto." - Caldwell Tanner (too many times to count)

Jessica Petra

The escape room with birds just made me think of something I thought up a long time ago. Years ago, I had an idea for a reality show just called "Room Full of Parakeets" where people would just share a studio apartment and hundreds of parakeets. The winner would be the last one with their sanity in tact. Everyone in that last case needs to be contestants 😂

Nathan Perez

I am absolutely amazed they got my case in. As soon as I saw Oppa Thor Style in my podcast feed, I started freaking out! Thank you so much Jake and also Nathan for sharing in my miffedness!

Quincy

Honestly had been having a shitty day but these epusides never fail to cheer me up :)

Kay

Can’t believe I made it into the recess! Thanks everybody 🥰💜 I will accept that its sometimes okay to tell my player to fuck off and accept that they never visited this random fuckin Goblin Village.

Nathan Perez

Honestly, this makes it all feel so much better! Tungsten was my first character after ages of being a forever DM, so I was pretty attached to him during the creation progress!

Nour

You could also do some fun plane stuff -- depends on your world building but if you have a Fae equivalent they could definitely pull some never seen before shenanigans

NoShitSherlock

Okay, for the harpy eating people, I love Caldwell's idea but his was much more clever and not as fucked up as my plan which was the same, but instead of the bbeg serving harpy they would serve each player their own race as a meal, comparing them to cattle.

Ebony-Rose Ellis

have a call with you pc and establish a path the character has been on!! My pc has a similar travelling background but we established he'd pretty much only traveled up the river, spent months or even years I'm certain places, we then gave him a few connections he has in each place to back it feel more real so there is still much of the map I've explored, maybe he's only covered a certain cost or something

Gumbercules

Have it revealed that they're just a reblogger. They never visited themselves and just stole others' desciptions

Professor Pratt

The X or Zero Rule. I’ve read some really interesting stories on it as a way to keep things “trigger-free”.

Leah S.

You got played dirty. Your flavor was awesome, it totally didn't have to go at a straight line. There is no way it should have hit your ally, not with that spell.

Sophia Liberty

Never listened to a D&D court but I had to click cause of JULIA AND NATHAN❤️🌸

Adam

It sounds like "I Know Who Killed Me", unless there's somehow two horror movies that heavily involve the color blue.

Scott Pateros

That first DM clearly had what they thought was a great story written where the NPC dies in the dungeon and were super salty they didn’t get to use it.

Bec Robson

Yeah I thought he wrote it...

Elizabeth Lees

Just have to say, Joy Luck Club is absolutely a mom movie.

Nick Lerche

Why not call the Guisarme a Billhook

Summer Tribe

the harpy thing is so bizarre. harpies arent even real in our world but if we saw one people would call it a harpy or a geruda or something. does myth not exist in that DM's world? just let them call a harpy a harpy. furthermore it's the DM's world why wouldn't birdpeople be poisonous in it? i dunno if the players or the DM is the party who handled that bit wrong but it sounds like it's the DM based on the way it's described (who's really telling on themself by getting so incensed over nothing)

Gearbox

I wish we knew more about the dragon age campaign. Like I want to know if the dm told the players "hey this is a grimdark world" and if the player still made happy-go-lucky drinking game character they just got what happens sometimes in those worlds. Also I can imagine that the whole scene was set up to incite the players to go cure the blight but they made the fucked decision to mercy kill themselves.

Mary Colligan

I think the point of the harpie one was that they were meta gaming in a rude way. Disregarding the DMs world but poking fun at the entire concept.
