Discord drabble - helpful minotaur boy x reader (Patreon)

Prompt - you work at a petting zoo and some animals escape and as you're struggling to get them all until  a large, kind mino boy with a gentle spot for animals helps you out<3

“Oh no, oh no, OH NO!” you shouted as you saw the small herd of miniature goats haring off around the corner. “How the hell did they get out?!”

Your friend, a big gnoll with a quirky sense of humour, simply fell about laughing, and you shoved him hard in the chest and strode off after the escaping goats. 

The little buggers were everywhere. Some had split off east towards the cafe, while others had gone west towards the open field which was being used as a car park for the petting zoo. 

“Shit!” you cursed. 

“Everything ok?” a deep voice rumbled from behind you. 

“No, it’s not!” you screeched. “It’s… oh…” and looming over you was an unbelievably handsome minotaur, complete with a ring in his nose. He also had a very attractive accent… 

“Can I do anything to help?”

“You any good at wrangling goats?” you asked. 

He chuckled. “I worked on a friend’s farm last summer. I think I can help. Come on. You got any feed?”

With a bucket of their favourite pellets in your hands, you and the minotaur - who introduced himself as Tuomas - had rounded up seven of the ten escaped goats. 

“Last three?” you groaned and he nodded. 

“I’m having fun,” he said. 

“That makes one of us,” you muttered, though it wasn’t strictly true. 

“Oh,” he said softly. 

Looking up at him, you beamed and said, “I’d have been stuck without you… Thank you so much…”

He smiled and inclined his head, floppy fringe dangling into his big, friendly eyes. “My pleasure. Perhaps you’ll let me buy you a drink after all this is over?”

“If I don’t get fired, sure…”

“Surely you’ll need it more if you do get fired,” he grinned, taking the food bowl off you and shaking it, attracting the attention of the final three goats and luring them over. 

“You may have a point,” you admitted, and he smiled at you again.
