"I hope you die in this act 2 Eurylochus" Uh- oh no. Oh dear

Banana

"Eurylacus I hope you die in this Act", oh boy this will be fun to watch the rest of XD.

Akea

Scylla has a bunch of snake like heads that could be the choir if the sirens are all dead

Lyann Wolfgang

Scylla is my favourite song in the Thunder Saga, and the animatic Jorge showed in the stream is honestly terrifying with how it portrays what's happening. Like, Eurylochus is talking directly to Odysseus, but tbf Scylla sort of talking about what Eurylochus is feeling at first is a bit confusing without visuals

Savana Hayes

Eurylochus is the one who opened the bag which pushed them right into Poseidon's waiting arms and cost them most of their men. HE'S the one who wanted to abandon the men Circe changed into pigs.

Banana

Now that I'm finished I wanna share my interpretation of Scylla, I'm sure by now you've seen the live stream and put together how the 6 Torches are intentional sacrifices. The song is framed like Scylla is singing to Eurylacus at the beginning, but I'm pretty sure she is singing to Odysseus the entire time taunting him comparing him to herself because he is intending from the beginning to sacrifice 6 men to pass Scylla's lair and hiding it from the crew, "leaving them feeling betrayed, breaking the bonds that you've made" ect the lyrics line up perfectly with Odysseus and it makes more sense for her to taunt him then Eurylacus. Especially with how the harmonize in the end after the sacrifice has been made showing that Odysseus is truely now the monster and no better then Scylla.

Lyann Wolfgang

Oh, Scylla has six monstrous dog heads attached to her legs. Six torches, six men, that's the price to pay Odysseus talked about in Suffering. She was a nymph, and depending on the version, either Circe or Poseidon's wife poisons the water she bathes in cuz their love interests loved Scylla and she becomes a monster

Michelle Schaefer

Scylla: "You opened the bag!" THE PROPHET HAS RETURNED! Loving the reaction to Scyllas voice. KJ IS SO AMAZING! Eurylochus was talking to Odysseus I think but Odysseus just didn't react? Maybe feeling too betrayed, too hurt, too angry? Or he doesn't care anymore because all he cares about anymore is going home and seeing Penelope. Six torches for six heads as Scylla has 6 man-eating heads. DANGER MOTIF! I hadn't heard that. Good job! Scylla is in some interpretations a goddess, so that would make sense why she has a choir but as you also said she can harmonise and sing with her other heads.

Fragola603

Sun god in this instance is Apollo lol, you got it right this time

Elijah

Scylla has like 7 heads. 1 as the speaking body and 6 on tentacles, which each 6 of the crew members. It is MUCH better explanation-wise in the animation.

Liz Lilliman

Scylla was described as having 6 heads on snake like necks. Each head had three rows of sharks teeth. 12 dangling legs and her loins had demon dogs. So very scary.

Michelle Schaefer

Mutiny: The prophet literally calling out the next title and being an idiot about it lol. Love ya "No! That is so cruel!" YEP! Almost monstrous... YOUR TENSION AT THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE BOYS, aww! DANGER MOTIF! Apollo or Helios. It's kinda unclear. It was Helios in the original story I think? But not always? And Apollo is connected to cattle too. And of course Zeus' son so that'd make sense. ODY instead of Captain cause he no longer sees him as Captain. Fucking heartbreaking. The Horse and the Infant/Luck runs out/Just a Man/Warrior of the Mind/Keep Your Friends Close callbacks are so epic in this one ODYSSEUS FULL ON PANIC WHEN HE SCREAMS "FASTER!" I'm having shivers everytime listening to it! Zeus is so fucking scary. "Eurylochus you are fucking dead, my friend." The prophet has spoken.

Doc Nagalli

In the teaser animatic for Scylla, it looked like Eurylochus had a torch, so that was supposed to be his fate. But why did he come out of that alive? He had to have handed the torch to someone else. So yea, I'm glad Eurylochus is........ y'know.

Fragola603

Your right my bad, I was thinking of Percy Jackson lol

Justin Fralin

Scylla is talking to Ody. By telling Eurylocus to light the torches, he was sacrificing those men to scylla to pass. One torch for each head of scylla. Scylla is saying her and ody are both monster who do what they must to get by. When scylla talks about betrayal, she is talking to what eurylocus has done and what ody is about to do... clever double.

TheBookWyrm

Casper continues to be a prophet without trying or noticing 😂 I think Scylla is actually my favorite song from this saga. Her voice is honestly just cool as hell in my opinion.

draeonic 🪼

Unlike Odysseus he didn't know what would happen, so if he had a torch and handed it over it was innocent

anni davison

Casper: "Roast me in the comments, I'm an idiot." The comments: *Pure love* xD

Colin Fontenot

It is Apollo. It said in the stream.

K.B.

Scylla has 6 heads so the other vocals are all her Also I don’t think Odysseus was afraid I think he just didn’t want to sacrifice more men than necessary

Cecereads23

Who’s going to tell him?

draeonic 🪼

"Zeus is bringing the thunder" "This next song, I don't know what it's called" 😂

Colin Fontenot

In the stream it said that the men patched up Odysseus after the stab.

Jacob Minger

Odysseus had Eurylocus light up 6 torches because Scylla has 6 heads. And each head eats one of the men holding the torches. This keeps her occupied so that the boat can escape.

draeonic 🪼

I suspect Odysseus already knew it was Eurylochus, which is part of the reason he said "nah it'll keep" when Eurylochus tried to confess earlier

Jacob Minger

Also Armando Julien is the singer for Eurylocus.

ShadowFox1412

The only way to get past Scylla is if all six of her heads are occupied by eating someone. So the cost was that six men had to die for the rest to escape alive.

The Carnival Ace

6 Torches 6 Sacrifices to Scylla so they may pass without her Destroying them all. And its Scylla Singing not the Sirens she has 6 different heads plus her human body. He also meant for Eurylochus to be one of the 6 Sacrifices after he told him he opened the bag.

Winter Storm

Ah yes, Armando Julian, Scylla.... >:]

Jacob Minger

The emotion that Armando and Jorge brought to this saga is on ANOTHER level.

Michelle Schaefer

That does make sense! Totally forgot about that moment but you're absolutely right

Maxel

Not sure what Jay said for Epic but in the odyssey Helios is the god of the sun and those are his cows

Megan Davis

My interpretation of mutiny is that Eurylochus is trying to absolve himself of his guilt of not listening to Odysseuss and opening the bag. By saying "If you want all the power, you must carry all the blame." He's implying that Odysseuss is the wrongdoer while also trying to convince himself and the crew that he doesn't bear any fault for opening the bag when they were almost home.

draeonic 🪼

Alternately, maybe Odysseus was being an insensitive prick both times. WHO KNOWS

tsukihimeyfan

Eurylochus kinda pisses me off in mutiny bc he proposed the exact same thing back with Circe, abandoning several men to die there and fleeing, but now that Odysseus does it it’s awful and unthinkable? Like, I get the rest being mad but Eurylochus you hypocrite 😂

MildlyPerturbed

If you watched the livestream, Gigi had an amazing animatic for Mutiny! I literally gasped while watching it!

MildlyPerturbed

In the Odyssey, it’s Helios, who’s a Titan and also Circe’s father. They’re known as Helios’ cows.

MildlyPerturbed

Odysseus made six men hold torches so they could be the ones to die, as Scylla has six heads. One man for each head. After Ody heard Eurylochus’s secret, he decided to sacrifice him, which is why he told him to hold a torch. Also, Scylla and Odysseus both sing together on the “I” on “we are the same you and I!” Odysseus has really become the Monster!

Malie AgentKR

In defense of Eurylochus, in Puppeteer i felt he was more telling Odysseus “we lost so many men already, let’s take the ones we know are safe and run while we still can,” while in Scylla Odysseus is ACTIVELY going into a situation where he KNOWS he must sacrifice crew members. Eurylochus wants to hold close the ones he knows they can protect, while Odysseus is throwing men to the wolves to protect himself (and the remaining crew I guess, but at this point his main goal is for himself to get home no matter who he has to sacrifice to do it). Both are flawed in their thinking of course

MildlyPerturbed

In the livestream, we were told that the men bandaged Odysseus up.

AstralAegis

So they talk about Scylla in Hades 2! I don't think you plan on making reaction content for Hades 2? If not, you can see a conversation where they have an alternate pronunciation for her name here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI-Gto1JQL0 Timestamp: 0:52

Phoenix_mercury

Which Ody refused to do, but now is willingly tossing 6 men to Scylla like damn that's a 180 from I won't leave anyone behind to aight 6 men are dead

jayden_arsonew

actually, the electronic guitar is eurylochus' instrument in this song, bc he acts like ody

jayden_arsonew

eurylochus stabbing odysseus and then calling him ody is so brutal

jayden_arsonew

theres a lot of cows, they only killed one lmao

Jeremy Sellers

The crew stabs Ody in the back from the animatics from the livestream last night

Modded

He did tell Odyssuse he opened the bag

Takeyia Twitty

Since it hasn't been really brought up. Some fun facts about Scylla. She was originally, depending on the author, a beautiful naiad but was poisoned by someone who was jealous because she rejected them or Circe, again depending on the writer. So her and Odie being on the same page of "people only care about themselves and will betray you, so do what you can to survive" isn't that wild. She's another monster of circumstances not of choice.

r0wann_

The look on Casper's face at 17:33 was genuinely one of the funniest things I have ever seen!! Also fun fact, the sailor who stabbed Odysseus was Perimedes. He and Elpenor were the ones who asked what was in the bag in "Keep your friends close" and apparently, Elpenor was his best friend. Jorge posted that tidbit in the chat during the live stream last night, and I just thought it was super cool! I joined your patreon after watching the stream last night bc I just couldn't wait weeks for the youtube release!! Loving the content, happy to be here!!

Jocelyn

It’s hilarious how he thinks Armando Is Sylla

Mager

So Odysseus should have gone with Casper instead of Tyreseas, my man is a prophet!

draeonic 🪼

Eurylochus' best point is NOT consistency, and we don't get a whole song to explain each of his attitude changes... It does feel like he's opposing Odysseus at every turn for the hell of it

Malie AgentKR

“How tf is he alive” is the main theme of The Odyssey LMAO, Odysseus just won’t die no matter what’s thrown at him, to the anger of men and gods

Phoenix_mercury

One doesn't harm a god or goddesses sacred animal whether that's one or one hundred

Matt Granger

You have witnessed the SONG of past romance, the SACRIFICE of man, and potrail of betrayal and a BROTHERS final stand

Phoenix_mercury

With Circe the men chose to go and made the mistake themselves whereas here Ody led them to their deaths on purpose without their knowledge.

Lauren Hedman

I probably missed some but prophet Casper is back. I heard at least one future song title in here that has already been confirmed

Oceanna Denham

Scylla song scares me, especially the line "Do what it takes to survive" because it could mean 2 things. 1. To Odysseus as to say he told Eurylochus to light up the torches to do what it takes to survive and 2. To tell the crew to do what it takes to survive even though it was hopeless

William Watson

Casper: “there’s a lot of shakers” “it’s not something you normally associate with danger” Jorge: “and you know I love my shakers!”

Pheonix Trickster

Casper I can't wait for you to see the animatic to Scylla's song! It's so badass!

4J Ri0

Armando Julián is actually the voice of Eurylochus, and KJ Burkhauser is Scylla.

4J Ri0

and i just got to the part where u figured that out 😭

Geveryging

I was showing someone the thunder saga and they asked why Odysseus didn’t just keep the sirens for Scylla and that seems obvious
