TAYLOR SWIFT - LIVE ON THE SEINE (2013)

The sync is maybe a second off, when you sing along, you sing before Taylor, it's not awful, but just enough to send a signal to my brain saying that something is off ! just wanted you to know :)

It's clearer when there's clapping in 22 if it can help the syncing :)

I think one of the reasons she seems more timid is yes, she is younger, but also people had been telling her that she couldn't sing for years, that she was a bad performer, etc. and it is a lot harder to ignore the haters when you are 21 or 22 than when you are 33

I also think this is one of the first live performances she had done for Red right? Like it was before the tour? So she’s presenting new music to all these people and in a very intimate way. And I think she knew she was switching her sound up here. This is the last album before she went full pop with 1989 so she really didn’t know how it would be received from fans and critics so the doubt could be seen now and then, especially in comparison to some songs she did off of Fearless which she would have been performing for close to 4 years at this point.

As a Taylor fan from the beginning and someone who watched all these performances originally when they occurred it is always trip to go back and watch them now. I mean in my head I know how much her vocal technique and strength have improved but I don’t really think I realize how much it has changed until I rewatch older performances. I will say for me though there is a cuteness in her voice and sense of nostalgia I get with these older performances that I adore and will always love and appreciate.

Aw she was such a cutie. Seeing how confident she is now it’s easy to forget it took her a long time to get to that point. Unrelated, but I’m curious if you have thought about reconsidering your Taylor’s version only policy in the case of Reputation? I only say this because it could be a long wait for Rep TV and it kills me that you haven’t heard it because I know you would LOVE that album. It’s sexy and it’s got some of her best vocals across her entire discography. Totally respect your decision to wait for TV if you feel strongly, but we are all out here streaming the “stolen” version of Rep until Taylor’s version becomes available and wouldn’t judge you for doing the same thing. Just something to think about, although I’m sure you are super busy as it is!

I’ve never seen this 🥹 I would love to see a Renee Rapp (snow angel album) reaction and Chappell Roan (the rise and fall of a Midwest princess album) reaction. I would absolutely pay for a different tier to watch it.
