I made friends with this girl once and I didn't know her name for a whole two weeks because it never seemed like the right time to ask 😂.

You just need to introduce her to another friend and say your friends name but then slightly delay when you introduce her. She’ll say her name naturally and then you concur with some random facts about the friend you’re introducing nd then some about your now-name-known friend. Works every time.

Tara Cabache

Very accurate. I'll remember the dog only...every time 🤣

There was an episode of a tv show don’t remember which show though I’m thinking it was Gilmore Girls where a character brought a date to a party with them and had the date introduce themselves to people so they would the people they were talking to would say their name to the date before they would say anything to the character. that way the character would know their name from telling the date their name.

I lucked out when she offered up her Snapchat and it happened to be her actual name and not some weird username you make up when you're a kid 😂

Since I've had kids, I do this with other kids too. I know all of the little ones in my kids classes, but for the life of me can never remember the parents names. Same with my husbands cousins and all of their kids - I remember the kids names better than the cousins.

Jennifer Lawrence

Mine too 😂 I'm terrible with names. I still sometimes can't remember the names of coworkers I've worked with for months or more. It just gets worse as I get older it seems like. As well as anxiety & stress making my brain just go blank constantly.

Jennifer Lawrence

Lmao, I love watching the girl in that video's content on YouTube. She's so relatable

The same thing happened to me in high school with a friend for 6 MONTHS. We just started talking without introducing ourselves. She knew my name because I said it sometimes when telling a story or whatever... I only knew when she randomly said her name in a conversation while telling me a story. We literally talked and had lunch together every day. I was like, good thing she said it, if not, I would have never known (crazy awkward asking after 6 months) 😅🤣 All this to say, there's WAY worse than 2 weeks!

I feel called out, especially when it's my neighbor's dog. I'm always saying "Hi cute baby" to his/ her dog and to my neighbor I'm always like "Hi... uhmmm.. hi neighbor".... If they tell me their name 10 times I might remember it but they have to say "Yea my dog's name is Don" and every time I see them I would go "Hey look it's Don and his human"

Heida

Haha very relatable 🤣

Jetthayes

Exactly. I know the names of every dog in the neighborhood but none of my neighbor's names. It's always Chester's mom, etc.
