This is the reason why Chandler and Monica are the greatest couple. They understand each other. Chandler saw that Monica is sad and he knows what to say to make her happy. They can comunicate, that’s the difference between them and Ross and Rachel. This is not toxic relationship. Yes, they maybe argue and that’s okay. But they listen to each other.

🖤 thanks for speaking about the hurt in the world right now. This is a great escape and it’s nice to know this is truly a safe space.

That moment with Phoebe and her dad was absolutely beautiful. I find it funny because I started watching Friends when I was six years old, and I’ve probably seen every episode 50+ times. It was my favorite show growing up and I constantly had it on repeat. I was a very quiet, keep-to-myself kind of kid, and in many ways these characters felt like my friends, especially during my middle school and high school years. What’s funny is I’ve seen this episode dozens of times, but I never caught the reference with her dad’s song. I always just thought it was a funny little lullaby he sang to her. I didn’t realize until a few years ago, while watching reactions with other people, that it’s the same melody as “Smelly Cat.” That’s part of what makes the show so fun, sometimes other people notice things you don’t. And as a kid, a lot of the adult references obviously went right over my head. I still laughed, but I didn’t fully understand them. Even something like that melody, which might seem obvious now, totally slipped past me. There are so many little Easter eggs hidden throughout this show that you only notice when you watch it again and again. I really hope that after you finish watching it the first time, you’ll go back and rewatch it, because there are so many little discoveries waiting for you. And I’m someone who has seen every episode dozens of times and I still get to experience moments like they’re brand new.

Friends with fwends is the highlight of my week. I’ve been subscribed to both you and Danny for awhile and something I love about both of you it that you’re not afraid to talk about the hurt in the world. I don’t see it as a political thing but more of a humanity thing. You’ve always wanted this to be a safe space and compared to the other platforms this is definitely a safe space 🩷

LOL I was waiting for you to catch on to the question you asked! Yess it’s been deleted, off the cloud too!! We hateee each other and I know that’s a strong word but it’s true 😩 this was like 7 years ago before I was even pregnant

One of my college roommates gave the best massages. I swear her thumbs were made of steel and my back was always left full of bruises but ugh, so good.

I really appreciate you saying that you want to use your platform to stand up for people. I also like that you acknowledge that the circles we grow up in can limit our cultural and political understanding, and that you talk about being open to learning - it feels so important and emotional to me especially because of the global climate we currently live in.

I'll admit, my husband and I have been known to use timers...but that was his suggestion since he literally asks me to massage him/scratch his back or something daily. The timer suggestion started as a "time how long you're doing it, then I'll massage you/rub your head for the same amount of time" (I get migraines). I personally would prefer not to, but at least it keeps it fair 😅 For the question of the week: I personally think people should be able to dress however they want. Gender norms frustrate me so much. There are plenty of countries/cultures where common men's clothing is essentially also a dress. So why is it so wrong in our (Western) society?

Ok alot to go over! So apologies for the long messge. Firstly, love your reactions Audrey, you getting a tad emotional with Phoebe and her dad was very sweet! Secondly, I'm glad you are prepared to lose followers to stand up for your beliefs as like you say, even though this is not a political channel I feel sometimes it's unavoidable. The right people will be here with you on this, and coming from a people pleaser myself, (this is going to sound cheesy) but I was very proud of you, as you probably will lose people, but like I say the right ones will stay! Thirdly, I agree Joey should keep the bag if it makes him happy, but like you say it's 90's early 2000 so it's not as acceptable back then, even though back then when I watched it I was always like .... Why does it matter ...it a bloody bag what's the problem? And lastly for question of the week, I have always said if people are happy and they not physically, emotionally, sexually ect hurting anyone then what's the problem? My husband is pansexual and queer for instance and I have always said to him he can wear makeup, nail varnish, dresses ect as I do find it hot! and we always talk about who we find attractive, we are very open and honest with eachother. I have said if he wants a sex change though of course I'd support him, I'll be his friend, but I couldn't be a wife as I am not a lesbian, so that's the only thing where it would change. I do find it so odd what people find offensive or not right for woman or men. For instance pink is for girls? Really it's a colour ffs and actually it was in the 1920's I think that it was actually considered masculine and blue was more feminine, it wasn't until like 1950's (again I think) that marketing 🫩 made pink more for girls. Also heels were originally made for men for various reasons, one being for butchers to not step in blood, but now it's considered more feminine. I just personally feel people should wear what they want! It's clothing at the end of the day - some people don't even have that option to be mad about!

I love watching friends, I know that some of the jokes arent pc anymore but i love to just watch it and enjoy it as it was ya know. I hope that make sense

My son has long hair, loves pink, and always wants his nails painted. The amount of people who say things like "you're programming him to be a girl" or "aren't you ashamed?" No. He's almost 7 and we don't subscribe to colors having a gender.

Very well said, Audrey. As a socialist, gay, black man, I do not feel safe in the US anymore, which is one of the reasons I am moving to Southeast Asia in the winter of 2027. From what I hear from my friends who have been and lived in Southeast Asia, they say it's very warm and welcoming and fairly safe. So, I am happy about that. And also, has been opening up to LGBT rights and views, which is a huge plus for me.

Thank you for sharing your values and the people you support. I'm sure it must be hard doing so knowing that you'll probably lose followers. The whole situation makes me think of the "tolerance paradox". But I think it is important to share and it makes me feel safer here and better knowing I'm supporting someone who shares the same values. On a lighter note, I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, it's one of my faves. (you'll probably already seen it by the time you read this lol)

Those of us who have been here from the beginning know that you’ve always stood for what’s right. We can disagree about policies, but I don’t want to be associated with those who support politics that hurt people all over the world in unimaginable ways and deny them dignity and safety. I am okay with such views not feeling welcome in my community, and I am done with “acceptance” being weaponized in this context. Being born and raised in Syria, I have suffered firsthand the consequences of imperialistic policies and war-hungry politicians that some people in the US voted for, and we endured the consequences for as long as I can remember. Thank God I got out, but many people didn’t. Thank you for continuing to stand by your values as this platform grows. I’m forever a proud OG! As to your question, I’m personally not attracted to men who wear feminine clothes but that’s just my taste. I like them masculine and rugged 😂. That said, everyone is beautiful in their own way, and just because I’m attracted to something doesn’t mean it should be the standard for everyone.

Ronja

So I really could not care less if a guy is wearing a purse or eyeliner or anything. Personally for me it is really about if that fits the person not the gender or sexual identity. It's all just programming, if it where 200 years ago a "manly "man would be in high heals a wig and makeup in some parts of the world. Now for me emotionally it really just depends ,I'm Pansexual so gender norms for me is not really a factor for attraction. But some people just fits in different things so hypothetically a man in a dress could be really sexy or off putting for me depending on the man not the dress.

Claire

Personally i dont think i've ever seen Joey's bag as feminine in any way, and if he likes it he should get to keep it! (Plus it's a nice bag) Thinking about gendered clothes made me remember when my sister started highschool in the late 90's and the girls uniform was skirts, shirt, tie and jumper while the boy's was trousers, shirt, tie and blazers. By the time i went to the same school in 2004, the girls could wear trousers or skirts and the boys could wear jumpers or blazers 🤷‍♀️ i feel that everyone should get to wear what they feel comfortable and good in, and that clothes shouldn't be gendered. (Although i do think that only men should wear ties 😂 maybe because i hated wearing one!)
