So I’m in bed at the hospital and I can’t talk…but I can text.

I was thinking about going live on zoom with a Patreon Exclusive watch party. I can text chat the whole time but I won’t be able to talk out loud. I was think about maybe watching something from StarKid or perhaps a bootleg musical or an episode of the voice or an episode of Smash? Something that I don’t plan on doing on YT anytime soon.

Again, I won’t be able to talk with volume but I can chat in the side chat box with you while watching it.

Sound cool? Or would it be too weird?

It would be fun, and something new to experience! Happy to hear you are feeling well enough to even consider something like this!

I'm Just Alex

That sounds like fun. Maybe we could watch a bootleg of Finding Neverland the musical since you reacted to Zendaya's version of the song?

I'm down. Blind auditions season 3 the voice. Would be awesome. Cant wait for you to hear sarah Simmons.

Cody M

Do it! Don't do Smash, since that'd be awesome for a regular watch party.

Siobhan Linehan

Well I don't know what Starkid is or what Smash is. And I only know The Voice UK. 😂 But I do find any live chats with you fun so I'd be into that. 😊

I Am Not Chamari

That sounds great. Honestly, I think watching an episode of The Voice would work most well with this format. I’d rather be able

Gemma Rivera

I'm definitely down for something like this. It would be fun to do live

Linn

I’m so down with whatever you want to do!

Ok I’m leaning towards Voice Season 3. I won’t do the whole season, just one episode soo… what episode?

I second the blind auditions as they are literally the best part of the show however later seasons are better because a coach can block another coach from getting a contestant and it’s great to see the coaches have fun. The other part I love about blind auditions is that if more than one coach turns around then they end up having to persuade the contestant to chose their team. I just love seeing famous singers talk about how much they really want the contestant on their team.

I’ve just watched Music a musical movie written by Sia and starring Kate Hudson, Leslie Odin Jr and Maddie Ziegler. Kate Hudson is the Glee connection of course. I’m also obsessed with Dance Mom’s and Maddie Ziegler. It’s my guilty pleasure. I streamed it through Amazon Prime Video. It is not only astounding in the singing and dancing but the story is incredible. It would also make Sense for you not to talk during it since Maddie Ziegler plays an Autistic teenager that is largely non verbal. It has all original Sia music in it and the choreography is outstanding.

Please please please do not do the Sia movie! There has been a large out cry from the autistic community about harmful stereotypes and practices in that movie plus after the out cry Sia made some very not great comments about the autistic community that makes them feel like she just wants to make profit off of the community and actually doesn't support them

I am well aware of the controversy around this movie and that is exactly why I chose to watch it and to make my own judgement about it. My 28 year old niece has Down Syndrome, and is Severely Autistic and Non-verbal. I decided to continue to watch it after the very first scene through to the end because Maddie embodied my niece Gabriella in her portrayal of a severely non-verbal autistic person in every nuance of her physically as well as emotionally. Autism is a Spectrum Disorder and I also personally have friends and family who fall within the Spectrum from the most severe as my niece to my friend who has Aspergers. I’ve also raised 2 daughters who have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder whose Disorders fall very differently along the Spectrum. Yes, Sia wrote this film for Maddie Ziegler who is her Muse. I’ve followed Maddie since her Dance Moms days and Maddie became her Muse as soon as she cast her in Chandelier. Sia also hired autistic dancers in the movie. I think, as a group, we do need to be sensitive, to the controversies surrounding the things we choose to watch but we also have to ask ourselves how much weight we give to these controversies. Should we not have Glee watch parties anymore because of the controversies surrounding Lea Michele and Mark Salling or that able-bodied Kevin McHale a played a disabled character?
