In my opinion, this part of the story with the twins is the weakest part of the show. I thought that by this point we already knew "why" we were running this race. That it was never about winning. So the twins bringing this up now like it's something serious feels random. This feels more like it would be brought up as a joke. Idk, it's not super bad but I feel like we could remove this part and the show would not lose anything.

That "what are we running for?" quote gives me "what are you even doing" vibes from haikyuu. Chills side note: is the last watch party going to be 3 episodes long, since I believe it ends on an odd number, or will it just be a 1 episode finale side side note: for a sport anime. I know its already on the sheet, but Blue lock is something more recent and was one of the most read mangas in japan. Animation is ok, but a very different take on sports anime, if you are looking for something a little different from the rest.

Do you have the link for the "reference" that sarah mentioned? I wanna see the list.

I think that storyline with the twins at the end of the episode really highlights how young they are and how each of them really had a different understanding of what was motivating them to run, what running "means" to them, and none of them have figured it out yet at this point in the story. they're still running to try and understand what place running has in their own lives

Sarah

It definitely comes out of nowhere for me, especially after they accomplish such a huge goal of qualifying. I'm not a huge fan of that little storyline either

Sarah

The last watch party will be 3 episodes. We can't leave just one 😊

If you mean the recommendation list, it's on Discord pinned in the Anime channel

the head in the blender discourse is cracking me up lol

i have some suggestions on what I would like for you guys to react to, but i'm not sure if a lot of people here would like it. 1. Steins;Gate ( i just love seeing Sarah cry lol ) 2. Chihayafuru ( a really unique sports anime which I think Sarah would love ) 3. Space Brothers ( not sure if anyone here knows it, but it's AMAZING)
