Saeko is a queen and this episode is only the tip of the iceberg of why she is a Love House resident. Ugh she's the greatest 🥁

This is one of my favorite arcs in sports anime.

Hi Sarah and Adam! I love every reaction to Haikyuu, I'll never tire of seeing them. I wanted to give you a little bit of information about the show. Author Haruichi Furudate played volleyball during his school days, so he really knows what he's doing, and he also updated himself to bring us Haikyuu. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but in one way or another, Furudate captured his life in the show, such as his days practicing volleyball and his current job (which happens much later in the manga). In many of his interviews, he's given some interesting information about Haikyuu. I would be the happiest person if one day you decided to react or narrate the manga as if you were the one narrating and bringing the extremely exciting matches to life. The experience of reading the manga and watching the anime are completely different.

By the way, without sounding rude, I'd like to know what other sports anime you're planning to watch. I'd like to recommend a few that I really liked. - Tsurune (Japanese archery), - Bakuten (men's gymnastics), - Love All Play (Badminton), - Ace of Diamond (Baseball), - Ao Ashi (Soccer), - Bluelock (Soccer), - Eyeshield 21 (American football) Thank you so much for such amazing reactions.

1. Cool runnings is an amazing movie! 2. I loved the reaction of this episode and the kind of deep dive into the details that make Haikyuu so good! Are there other things you want them to explore in the season about these tiny volleyball details that most people don’t know about?

Adam Schulz

I think we talk/geek out about most of the ones that come up.

This comment made me smile reading it. This movie has such happy memories for me. “How’s the egg?”

I am on Adam's side here, Atsumu's band silencing move is badass.

I love this episode. I love Saeko showing up and being so pissed at what happened with Shiratorizawa's cheer section that she built her own god damned cheering band. I also love a family member getting involved. She was also raising money at the restaurant she works at the end of previous a season.

On the subject of the twin freak quick is that it was BOTH kinda planned and a last minute thing. Like, it's been clear that everyone's HEARD of the freak quick by now. They beat THE Shiratorizawa. People might not know the details, but they heard about it for sure. And Atsumu is absolutely the kind of guy who wonders if HE could do it. I don't think they fully planned on using it this match, but there likely was some like at home testing to see if it was doable. And then when he saw it he was like "We GOTTA try it."

I'm with Sarah on Atsumu's music stopping superpowers, can't remember if I said it last time. Every time I see him do it it makes my face twist in disgust. Ugh. I can't stand him in this arc, lol. Saeko showing up is a top badass moment of the show and I was hoping the first part of the season would end there, but they ended it on Hinata forgetting to hit instead, which was a fun anyway. But there are still so many great moments coming. Can't wait.

what I think is one episode is not enough... dreaming that one day Sarah will upload all episodes at once

Elle

It’s such a good movie ❤️❤️ “I see pride! I see power! I see a badass muddah who don’t take no crap off of nobody!”

Agreed, Saeko is awesome, but just to clarify, she didn't built the cheering band just for that. She was already building a Taiko group at the beginning of season 2, Tanaka mentioned it when we first meet her. She now brought them along to nationals to cheer the team on.

Sharles Davis Kendy

Sure, but a Taiko drum class does not a cheering band make. I'm sure other cheering bands were also doing other band related activities before becoming part of a cheer squad.
