Hi, Joel!! Love to know about you, how you are and what are you doing. Thanks for keeping us posted!!

Becky Lorion

Love these update videos. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to let us know what’s going on and what’s up ahead 😊

Amanda 🖤

I was so freaked out by watching the AI video lol it was well done, but scary. I'm glad to hear you're doing well though, Joel!

Ashley Ballman

Thanks for these videos! Definitely take the time for yourself to rest. After the amazing content, you deserve it! :)

Misty Gerkman

Thanks for the updates!! We feel so special getting "patreon only" content! Thanks so much Joel ❤️

Airyckah Lane

Should we be responding here or on the video? Lol I tend to ask/answer while watching the video as you’re asking 😅 But thank you for the update.. i quite enjoy them in any form, but especially like this

AnovaSig

Music vids!!! Woot! I think maybe your physical humor is under-rated my guy. This should be super fun!

Aubrey Danielle

You have unmatched hustle! 👏🏻 You got this! Trial and error with everything, that’s the joys of being an entrepreneur. Keep kickin’ butt 🤗

Courtney Walker

Your AI video was so cool! I absolutely loved it! Still amazed by it! You definitely need to take a break or you'll burn out. I should probably rest up myself - I've been working (unpaid) all summer, prepping my classroom to teach art to 1st-6th graders. I'm excited but nervous! Taught about 10 years ago, but I taught English to 6th grade, so it's quite a switch, but I became self-taught in graphic design since then, so this is much closer to what I wanna do. Anyway, we have to remember that while we have big ambitions, it's just as important to take time for ourselves. You're doing great! Video and course are 🔥!

Shauna

Hmmm i may be into these video updates. I’ve been closing at my job a ton (recently promoted babbyyy) and winding down after leads me to going to bed at 1am LOL. been saving for a car, recently got my first credit card to build credit. Am I an adult now? 🤪 Your ideas sound exciting! Just take them one step at a time and you’ll nail it! Proud of all the hard work you do!

CK DeP

Just watched the video all the way thru and was commenting on what you were saying thru the video lol so far it's my only comment on there lol 😆 if ya ever get the chance to read it or reply to it and also left a comment post on the course music site, and have done a video ideas / suggestions I posted on the Patreon community tab 😀 @Roomie

Alle Engdahl

Love getting these types of updates! I traveled a bit over these past couple months so I am trying to get back into routine. But also…wanna travel more haha. Looking forward to what’s next for you and the channel!

Sugary Magnolia

I had a mixed reaction to your AI video. But tonight at dinner the topic of AI came up and it was fun to whip the video out for everyone to watch how it can be used in real time. 4 generations discussing their feelings and opinions together was pretty cool to witness. So anyway, your video is doing things like that and facilitating a lot of discussions, raising awareness about the use of AI. I love learning through your love of learning - can't wait to see what's next! (And it was very nice of you to give Rikard a desk lol)

Genevieve

Thanks for the update! It's nice to hear what you're working on. The AI video was 🤯 I'm looking forward to your upcoming classes too, sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I only started making/learning music recently and I feel like I have so much to catch up on! I started signing classes 2 months ago and I it's really starting to pay off, and that's only making me want to learn more 😄

Jess Haggstron

Heyy ty for the update! 🤍 I just love it the AI video🔥 Take care ;)

Dannielle O'Neill

Always busy busy! But yes, be sure to get your down time to recharge! Happy, healthy Joel is best! Thanks for the update! Appreciate you so much ❤️

loonylovesgood

Whoot! Love the random updates!! I enjoyed the last video and as always, look forward to what’s coming next. Hope you’re having a cool summer (as in good, not cold). 😎

Melissa

Thanks for the update! You work incredibly hard and we know you enjoy doing it; but, also, it's for us and that's so incredible. I appreciate the effort and time you put in to all you do. I have been putting in a crazy amount of time between my full time job and my own business with animals. I love what I do, but it can be exhausting. I pass out pretty quickly if I stop for too long. Lol. Definitely take some time for yourself and to rest. Hustle, but don't break the bank. The bank being your brain in this case.

Stephanie Bruso

I had an idea about your songwriting videos. You should use the YouTube audio library as a base to write a song. I think it be fun if you took my or other people’s email ideas.

emy

I hosted a bbq tonight and everyone got swarmed by wasps. We had to go inside, it was stupid, lol 👎🥲 I’m looking forward to your group videos where there’s more time to create stuff. It’s like, “That was amazing they did that in only a few hours” vs “That was amazing.” Both are so entertaining but that’s gonna be satisfying in a whole different way. Your philosophy around making music fast is really different from what’s out there and it’s going to resonate with all kinds of people. Super excited about the course ideas you mentioned, and excited for you too.

Helga 🦊

I really enjoy these video updates! You have couple interesting ideas over there so I’ll be happy to watch new future videos if everything goes as you’ve planned 😁

Bookdragon 43

Thanks so much for the update!! 👍😊 So excited to see the group music creating videos. This summer I have been working on various craft projects such as painting and coloring. 🎨🖍 Take care and take some time for yourself to rest and recharge!

Stephanie Bruso

I wondering if you are going to the Taylor Swift concert this week? That would so fun you got to go

Cas

Hey Joel, I am heading home to Canada after 2 weeks on a cruise to Iceland and the very far north of Norway. Beautiful countries and saw things that were awe inspiring. Don't forget to take time for yourself. We know you get excited about projects but take time to sleep, hang with friends and get out of your house. Don't forget about the Roomie and Friends reunion. Jonas and Martin are excited about it and asked us to nag you. October 8 is the date you promised. 'preciate you too!

Whatever happens in the Shed should stay in the Shed 🤫😂 But I’ll be super excited if Roomie and Friends reunion actually happens 😁 /and photos that you’ve shared from your trip are amazing!/

Cas

Difficult to stay in the shed when the VOD is posted on YouTube.😉

Miriam

Thanks so much for the update!! 🙂 I really like the idea of the music course being condensed and concise. I took a music production class a long time ago and didn’t feel like I got much info out of it tbh. With all you have planned, sounds like there will be a lot for us to look forward to in the future!! And yes try to take a break and get some much deserved rest!!! 🙂

Elli

I think use of AI is a hot topic and that journalists will find your video interesting to debate. Have you had a press relief, or contacted music journalists in News sites or magazins, in different contries ? Best wishes and take care 🎶🎶

Nataliekey

Wooooo can't wait for the video with Marcus and Rob 🙌🎉🎉 almost makes me wanna go and hang out on Omegle (and even risk getting flashed by a bunch of ppl 🙃) 😂

Calize

Maybe in stead of giving up a random course for free, give us a Patreon coupon code or something where we get to choose or just get a discount? This AI course is interesting, but I’m never gonna use it in my songwriting.

Snoodle

Not a fan of the AI tbh, its a bit gimmicky, love the song but would prefer your face. We like your face!

Elle Quinn

I didn’t get a notification for this so I’ve only just see this now :) thanks phone .. anyways wow Joel you’ve been super busy, please take this weekend to relax, and look after yourself. Definitely intrigued to see a new video with Rob & Marcus, that should be fun. Side note: these update videos are cool, I like them , it’s nice to get a little glimpse into what you’re up too and have something to look forward too. :) I love & appreciate you as always Joel! Have a great weekend - E

Jen 🦙

Dang, yo boy be doing a LOT of side hustle! Really liking this format for the updates, it means we can watch and/or treat it like a podcast in the background when we’re doing other things 😊 The group videos sound very exciting, looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Keep up the good work, you’re smashing it right now! 🎉

Rainbowz Grace

Thanks for the update! I'm really excited for what the future of the course presents, I'm barely even that much of a music-y person but it really is just so interesting. As you said, make sure to get some time off for yourself! I know you are always getting really stuck into videos and projects and stuff but just make sure to get the rest you need, whenever you need it. As for what's going on with me, yesterday I went to a theme park, with my little sister. And her very little friends. Which was a bit of a nightmare 🤣 Small squealing children get irritating VERY fast. Anyways, enjoy your weekend, and whatever you do, don't forget about the Roomie and Friends reunion. 😉 Thanks again!

I really need to catch up on Jonas’s Shed videos. 🥺 He’s been streaming while I’m at work, so I can’t watch them Live. 😢 I’m glad to hear/read that both Jonas and Martin are excited about the Roomie and Friends reunion!! We also need Kasper on board!! 😁😁🙏🏻🙏🏻

Melissa Rogers

Joel, thank you so much for this quick update!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Everything you’ve been doing, and planning all sounds very exciting!! I’m really looking forward to seeing all the fun things you’re working on for your channel!! As well as the video (s) with Marcus and Rob. I have a question…how is your back?! Is it hurting and bothering you?! You seem to be a little bit twitchy (no pun intended). Plus you kept adjusting your shirt and I don’t remember seeing you do that before…maybe the twitching/seat adjusting, but not your shirt. I know you have back problems stemming from your drummer days. I’m just curious because I care and you mean a lot to us!! Oh yeah, and please don’t forget about the October Roomie and Friends reunion!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I know that back in the day, the four of you made cover songs together. Maybe for the reunion, you guys can write original songs together and make music videos with those original songs. Just an idea. Once again, I appreciate everything you do for us so freakin’ much!! You are amazing and you deserve all the happiness and good things this world has to offer!! Now go take a nice long nap, and NO WORKING this weekend!! Go spend time with your friends!!

Hayley

Yessss Roomie! The boi is back and he's spinning alllll the plates! Not gonna lie, the AI vid freaked me out a bit, but I'm a weirdo like that. I know how much hard work went into it and you should be super proud👏🏼 Not had chance to look through the course yet (been spinning a few plates of my own being a single Mum, working full time, kicking ass on a fitness journey and becoming a 'grandmother' to 3 kittens last week😅) but appreciate the gift. Keep doing what you're doing, love seeing that sparkle back in your eyes and that excitement and passion. Looking forward to more ☮️

MediocreAtBest

Thanks for the update! The future collab songwriting videos sound interesting, and like they could work equally well taken seriously or playing up the humor. For me, mostly the same thing with work, but I did have a short vacation up to Michigan in July, first time visiting that state. Very pretty! And so many pretty rocks on the lake shores 🤩 Hope you take some time to relax soon - get yourself into a new environment, turn some of those gears off. Appreciate you!

JustSomeJK

I had a bit of a tech issues this morning with the video (not only ur update video, but every YouTube video) 😬 So I'm a bit late to the party, but yay update! It's always nice to hear from you 🙂 It sounds like a good plan to take this weekend and relax a bit after such long days 😅 All of those video ideas sound exciting, I hope those plans work out, can't wait to see what u are cooking there 🙂 And hopefully u have time to invest on the courses. I think it's only a smart move to start making those too and create, is it called passive income. Hopefully u have some time in ur calendar to squeeze in some twitch stream too sometime 😊 Timezones might not be on my side with that, but I guess there's quite a few others missing those too 😊 I have been back to work from the summer vacation for couple of weeks now and I feel like I could have another vacation already 😅 Waking up 5 am just to get to the office at 7 am, wasting 2h per day for bus rides and doing the work of a colleague who is on a vacation now, made me think how sweet it would be to work from home all the time and do something more inspiring 🤪 So my plan is to take it easy this weekend too 😴😁 Appreciate u and I hope u have lots of rest and a nice weekend 🙂

That trip sounds amazing, really hope to get to see that part o Europe someday

Hi Joel! You look so good 😍and thanks for the update! I’m excited that you will collab with Rob and Marcus again! Yay! The AI video was really well done and a cool concept! For me personally, the initial watch was like “whoa this crazy” but I was also thrown off because my expectations were off. I was expecting a music video of my new favorite song, & the AI version of the song isn’t the version I would keep replaying, and the videos focus is more on the AI. I reframed my idea of it though and now look at them as two separate art pieces, the video and the original version of the song. I always look forward to the new videos and songs you are working on; in the inbetween I’m re-watching older videos and jamming out to your songs! Appreciate you, hope you get some rest 🖤

Dorie

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing your collab with Rob and Marcus and the other things you have going on. Can’t wait to spend some time this weekend watching your course. I loved the morphing you did in the video. Reminded me of the MJ Black or White video. Cool stuff!

Gayle

Thank you, perfecting time management to do all this ... wow. I'm really amazed and grateful with all these wonderful nuggets of your knowledge that you are going to share. Forgive me if any of what I wrote appears sarcastic....I am truly amazed and grateful.😘😘❤️❤️

You working to exhaustion is worrisome... We know you're always giving your best in everything you do. Just.. have proper rest please. Appreciate you always.. 💜 for spending time on us and sharing snippets of your future plans. All of them sound really awesome! Hope you have loads of fun in between your busy schedule~~

SpyroShurtagul

As someone who is pretty anti-AI, I think the way you utilized the AI in your video was actually ok. It's an interesting era we're in where AI is VERY controversial right now. If people steal art and call it their own, that's obviously really bad. I know it gets into a gray area on what people think about prompting and the databases and the process of what is art. So as long as everything you do has that acknowledgement and consent from the artists IN the database you're using... I can't say it's bad, ya know? I can understand it's really interesting and can be a unique approach to content creation as long as it's done in an ethical manner :)
