You’re so beautiful 🥹

CK DeP

These are amazing! Never disappoints me! 😀 Q: Have you heard the new of Taylor Swift is having her own The Eras Tour film & it's coming to theaters Oct. 13th? Are you going to go see it? Q: How long does it take you to write or make a beat for your music? Q: Do you prefer writing a song or producing it more? Q: what kinds of things do you think while in song-writing process? (Like what goes on in your mind, do you have the lyrics, melodies already or do u start out with the beats, chords, etc?) Q: what's been the most difficult song you've had to do or sing & why? Q: Do you time yourself when your making a song? (Kind of like with the song challenge videos) Q: Are you going to go on tour? (Of so, would it be like a U.S tour just to start it out & see how it goes or would u do like a world wide tour?) Q: best tips for beginners for song-writing & producing music but doesn't have much knowledge or musical experience or musical equipment? Where to even start?

CK DeP

Q: what if you had to choose between these two theme parks: DisneyLand or DisneyWorld & bonus: Q: if you had to choose just a few rides to pick from the bestest ride at DisneyWorld Park or Disneyland Park what would you choose & why?

Hayley

Q: Do you ever just pick up a pen and a piece of paper to write stuff down?? 😂😂

Mari

my entire comment was deleted when I went to check something and I want to cry with that said LA and California DOES NOT have the best weather in the world, it's all LIES 😹 I lived there for 32 years and the past 2 1/2 years I've lived in Denver, I can say the weather here is way better and we get all 4 seasons 💁‍♀️ also fun fact: I think I mentioned it before but idk if you ever saw but my dad grew up down the street from the Jacksons in Encino and would drive Jermaine (iirc) to basketball practice and the games at their high school. also Michael apparently was really obsessed with my dad's car at the time (some sports car that's not made anymore) and would always want to see and touch the car when he picked up Jermaine for basketball 😂 lastly, I appreciate you too 💛

Airyckah Lane

Q: now that you said LA has the best weather and you’ll probably get disagreements from everyone else… is there anywhere else in the USA that you would like to live at for a bit and why?

Melissa Rogers

Tysm for answering my questions, Joel!! When you’re able to check out Andrew’s app, will you let us know what you think?! Also, about “Best Thing To Happen To Me” and you not feeling inspired by it…that’s fair, and I understand. Your teaser in the 100 mics video sounded beautiful, though. Btw., your singing, in this update video, sounds great!! Please don’t be too hard on yourself!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Sounds like you’ve been doing a lot of Big Brain stuff this week…go rest that amazing brain of yours!! I appreciate you and everything about your channel and community so freaking much!!

Cas

I really look forward to these Thursday updates now. Thank you! Q: Do you have a regular rotation for your t-shirts since you often wear the brown one on Thursday, or do you choose the color by mood or by just what is clean and easily accessible?

Helga 🦊

Now I want to check that Tiago Forte(?) “second brain” stuff 🤔 Thanks for sharing. Q: What’s the one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Helga 🦊
>>116506120

If Joel has a “schedule” for the T-shirts then I’d like to make a suggestion about a red one to be worn on Thursdays 😄

Wee Woo

Hi Joel! I am a fan of Chad Chad's videos as well! Q: Is there going to be an interview with Genelec USA via Instagram or is that off the table? I thought there was going to be one sometime ago but there was not any further posts about it.

Bookdragon 43

Thanks so much for answering my question!! Q: What is your favorite t.v. series/show that you have been watching recently? I love to listen to your songs while I am coloring and doing crafts. Hope you have an awesome week😊👍💗

I've lived in New England (Boston and Hartford) my whole life. I'm moving to New Orleans in a few weeks. I don't think any of those places have very good weather though.

I’m a transplant from Cali too— been putting the RAD in ColoRADo for a decade now and it’s by far the superior state in comparison. No contest, hands down. California can suck it! 😆

Franceska

Hej Joel! A: we know that you’re a big Phil Collins fan - have you ever tried to sing his “Against all odds” son? Great ballad, beautiful melody, dynamic, fits 10000% to your voice! It’s so cheesy 80’s ballad but I love it Have a great weekend, appreciate you so much

Q: Do you know the anatomy of a penguin or a tortuga grande? Like, do you really?? You sure about that? 😆

Dannielle O'Neill

You are so appreciated, Joel. It's OK that you need some time to regroup/breath now and again. We want to see you thriving. That's why we're here. ❤️ Q: I'm going BACK into school for another teaching certification this week after not being in college for YEARS...Have any positive (or even funny) stories about teachers you had in the past to help distract my nervousness? *Thanks for sharing the course btw. 👍 (Rick Astley dropped this, btw new album is on the way... https://youtu.be/qWNQUvIk954?si=2inU9RO8L_zBzua7 )

Annelies

Was really looking forward to your update and you didn't let me down. Thanks for keeping up the weekly talks 😊 Q: which of your own songs (roomie, songwriting, lil pitchy) would you feel most comfortable about singing live? Because you did mention wanting to tour at some time (I guessed to sing and do a lot of talking 😉)

Jen 🦙

Thanks for answering my question, though I’m gonna have to ask you to not suddenly switch into deep voice, my morning skincare went flying as I turned into a giggling mess 🤣 In all seriousness, it’s really great to see you back to being genuinely bubbly again. Despite all the work, you can tell that you’re doing little bits of self care in between and it’s really reflected in how chilled you are😊 Really enjoy and appreciate the weekly updates and keep being you, you’re smashing it right now! 👏🏻

Lump

Q: why do you wear shoes inside your own home?

Hayley
>>116506120

Personally I'd like 'no shirt Thursdays' but ok 🤷🏻‍♀️ I joke! But he seems to have a schedule for everything else 😆

Nina L

Thank you for answering my question and an update Q: Do you have a favourite comedian or comedy show? I really like your style of humor, which I don't know how to call (maybe unpredictable and specific?), but the editing in your videos match it exactly

Andrea mills

Joel your awesome... Q: Any plans for a visit to Australia any time soon. Have you ever been here before. I'm sure you would enjoy the weather here?

Jess Haggstron

We’re always here to support you🤍🤍 Q: Besides Swedish and English, do you speak any other languages ? If not, is there any language you would like to learn? We appreciate u too🤍Have a great weekend☀️

Cas
>>116506120

That sounds like a good way to do it. I think it is likely personality dependent. Some people love a schedule for things like that ( I do) while others might find it constricting. Joel could at least book his haircuts every 6 weeks to take away that stress.

MediocreAtBest

Enjoying these relaxed updates. Q: you claim you won at 9 hole golf with the boys, but who would win at putt-putt/mini golf? Everyone knows that's where the real competitiveness comes out.

Ceeah

Q: What number of views do you call a successful video?

JustSomeJK

Thank u so much for answering my question😊 And taking time to answer so many of our questions. I was kinda already prepared for the doomsday bell to cut my question off 😅 so it made my day that u did answer 😊 U guessed it right 🙂, I meant the infinity loop logo. For some reason I saw two power button symbols and = in it when I saw it for the first time, so my silly brain read too much into it when I was wondering if it had anything to do with infinite power on or something 😅 yeah crazy 🤪 U don't sound too happy about the logo, but I still kinda like it 😁 I agree with u about the movies (I hope that Oppenheimer won't turn out to be a paid 3 hour nap tomorrow 😅). I liked GoT for example for the reason that one never knew what happens next and that they weren't afraid to "kill" even characters in bigger roles along the way.. and tv series are such good quality nowadays that they are a bit like super long movies, but with more plot twists etc. Congrats for the golf victory 🥳 Appreciate u, have a nice weekend 🙂💙 Q: Any suggestions for good podcasts?

Lianne Conroy
>>116595960

Some of us read the GoT books and could guess what was gonna happen. Although they did a pretty good job of screwing up the story so it was a bit harder.

Gayle

Q:What you said about most movies and TV shows.....is that true? Not to imply anything negative, it's just how I've been feeling for several years. I thought I was the only one, like Tigger(Winnie the Pooh). Thank you, I appreciate that someone gets that aspect other than me. I enjoy anime, but don't really follow any particular one. There's so many and most are entertaining. 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️

Q: What's the best dessert you've tasted in Gothenburg? Appreciate you too~~ 💜 P.S. Please take a look at @karenxcheng on instagram for a couple of visual A.I. ideas. She experimented on A.R. stuff too with talented A.R./3D artistes.

Oh you are very much NOT alone.. My hot take: The entertainment industry tends to be very formulaic. It always has been. Every once in a while, somebody comes out with something truly groundbreaking or different, but for the most part, it’s recycled tropes, ideas, and themes with predictable presentations. I think people have gotta be willfully ignorant or living with their heads in the sand or something in order to be oblivious to it. However, that’s not to say that I think predictability always equals not-entertaining, because it *can* still be entertaining…it’s just that following the status-quo has the *capacity* to cause apathy or disinterest over time (for me anyway) 🤷🏽‍♀️😕

Adina
>>116595960

If you like to listen to nerds talking about what they are passionate about I recommend the Waveform podcast (MKBHD). I love when knowledgeable people discuss in a casual way about subjects they have a interest in, probably why I never had a problem with the videos where Roomie just reacts to stuff.

JustSomeJK
>>116595960

Yeah Lianne I get ur disappointment. I haven't read the books yet, they are waiting for better times in my bookshelf, 'cos I had a king idea to buy those in English to broaden my vocabulary, which lead me to procrastinate to start the project 😅 I also hated the ending of the tv series, so that's another reason why I ain't too motivated to read the books. But I still think it was a nicely unpredictable, bold and wellmade tv series 😁

JustSomeJK
>>116595960

Thanks Adina for the tip, sounds good 😊 And I totally agree with what u said about listening to knowledgeable people and Roomie's commentary videos, loving those for the same reasons.

Lianne Conroy
>>116595960

If you don't like the ending of the series, you don't see that in the books. So each book is one season and there are only five books so you only follow the books for the first five seasons. Then they basically just made fanfic for the last three seasons and it's not very good. But if you're not a native English speaker, it's going to be pretty difficult to read those books. I'm American only speaking English and I had a hard time reading the books. They're very long-winded. And there are a lot of characters with the same or similar names and they're in different places and times. A few of my friends started reading the first book and only got a couple of chapters in and then gave up because they just said it was too hard to remember everything and follow along. Even though they had seen the show and kind of knew what was going on.

JustSomeJK
>>116595960

Ok, sounds like I need to skip the books written in English and get the ones in Finnish 😅 I thought George R. R. Martinin is writing the 6th book, but he went to traveling etc so it's not finished yet or something... Or has he given up 😅 That was one of the reasons for procrastinating for me, 'cos I thought that if I would manage to read the 5 books I would have to wait for the 6th still ..

Lianne Conroy
>>116595960

Yeah it's kind of a running joke for like 15 years or something that he's never going to finish it but he keeps saying he's going to finish it. There was also a joke that he was going to like do the Willy Wonka thing and pass it on to a fan to keep the books going

Q: Have you ever gone to a concert and come away more excited about the support acts than the artist you went to see? 😊

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

😂 I was in Robbie's concert this March and they had trumpets in the band....now I wonder if those had more purposes than one 🤔😂

emy
>>116884101

Hahaha 🤣 oh no!!! Poor Robbie. If that happened to me I’d probably take that secret to my grave 💀 I bet he was an amazing artist to see live!

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

In the beginning of the concert he introduced himself, his band and his butt while bending over towards the crowd and later he showed his naked butt from Take That era on a giant screen being super proud of his younger butt 😁 So he might not be so embarrassed about much anything lol. But I agree with u, that it might be a secret taken to the grave material to me too, even though in a loud concert nobody hears the farts (mics hopefully can't pick up fart sounds from that distance 😅) And yeah he was great live, to my amateur ears his age had not affected his voice much at all and his speeches between the songs were touching (he talked a lot about his struggles) and he was hilarious. Kinda like concert and a stand up comedy mixed together 🙂

emy
>>116884101

Aw that sounds awesome and heartwarming. 🫶I love that he just does whatever he wants now. Definitely one I’d like to see

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

I hope u get to see him and his charismatic "I don't give a frick" attitude live some day 🙂

Birdie Cantin

Awesome I love Paul Carrack " In the living Years" gets me right in the ❤️. I have been listening to him for the past month.

Adina
>>116884101

I’ve been to a Robbie concert 6 years ago, still holds up as the best I’ve ever been to. He is such a talented performer, great voice and that “I don’t give a F” attitude you were talking about were also there 6 years back. I would love to see him again before he loses it, because I waited too long to go to a Bon Jovi concert and when I finally got to do it, it was a huge letdown as he didn’t have the energy or the voice to do it anymore

Gayle

Q: How can one express their genius in a way mere mortals may understand? Will you instead just show us? Please, give us more of your music. More of your casual insights as commentary while we listen to new or old music. Laugh with us as we go through music videos that make one go,"uh " We just want to spend time with you, thank you 😘😘❤️❤️

emy
>>116884101

Dang I gotta see Robbie soon! Interesting how there’s a sweet spot in seeing artists when they’ve been around long enough that they don’t give a f, but before they’ve totally burned themselves out. Never really thought about how important that timing is. I guess when they’re a lot older it’s a different story, because at that point it’s more about just seeing them while they’re still around.

Melissa Rogers
>>116506120

True, he does look good in a turtleneck (or partial turtleneck). He also looks nice in a full or partial button-up shirt and in t-shirts (of a wide variety of colors, of course!!).

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

Yeah he really is a true entertainer and I agree, one of the best concert experiences so far. Too bad about the Bon Jovi 😔 I have never seen him live, but he has some sweet ballads that takes me back to old times for sure and I can imagine that it was quite a disappointment if those classics weren't like they used to in a concert.

Adina
>>116884101

Yeah, I’m kicking myself a bit about the Bon Jovi thing because 4-5 years before the concert I went to they had another one that by all accounts was really good. It’s my life was one of my favourite songs when I was younger and it still gives me a happy feeling when I hear it (if I’m in my car I will also sing every single word 😁). I also want to get to see Coldplay because their concerts look amazing, but I found the tickets price too high for the tour next year.

emy
>>116884101

Aw yeah It’s my Life! Ticket prices for everything have gotten so crazy 😩 I find myself not going to stuff too even if i think it will be good, because I can’t justify the 💰(and also I’m a boomer now and I want to sit in a seat like a fancy person lol)

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

Yeah the ticket sales for Coldplay were insane. They are coming to Finland for the first time next year and tickets were sold like crazy and they kept on adding new concert dates. I hope u get to see them live someday. I managed to get 2 tickets and I regret that I didn't try to buy the maximum 6 tickets, 'cos so many people I know didn't get through and weren't able to get tickets. The ones I managed to get were standing places and weren't super expensive at that moment. But the prices are way too high most of the time.

JustSomeJK
>>116884101

I hate the system where they start selling the tickets according to the demand, it's insane that tickets on not so great seats are over 300€. I think it's just unfair. I can relate to that wanting to have a seat, the artist must be one from the must see list for me to get standing tickets.

emy
>>116884101

Yes!! And that’s not even mentioning music festivals! It’s so expensive and so tiring, and there’s no personal space. 👵🏻 My dream concert would be set up like those vip movie theatres with the comfy seats that are like one metre apart, and tickets are cheap and they bring you snacks lol 😆
