Afternoon all,

As promised, I have some classic punk for you this week. We have some easy power chord riffs, and some surprisingly sophisticated soloing. Link to the vid below. And I even managed to get through the whole lesson without mentioning Brexit once.

The tab and Guitar Pro file are attached below.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Speak next Friday,

Adrian

At least so far, the pdf link is broken. Looking forward to studying it!

anyonecanplayguitar

Seems to be working for me, Michael. Let me know if you have any more problems and I can email it to you.

Chris Swanink

I have the same problem as well. By opening the pdf , I get a “404 error”.

anyonecanplayguitar

Hmm, not sure what the problem is Chris. Checked on 2 computers and my phone and the link is working. Maybe try a different device? Have you had the same problem with any of the other PDFs? If problems persist please let me know - happy to email you the PDF.

anyonecanplayguitar

OK. Bit mystified as the links are working for me! Will double check, and also email Patreon and see what they suggest.

Chris Swanink

If you could e-mail me the pdf that would be nice.

Thomas Oldenburg

Excellent. You know how to make me happy. "Silly thing" please. I have only time to learn 1 out of 3 so, perfect timing ;-) Thanks Adrian

Toby

Great run of lessons recently Adrian convinced me I must sign up!

anyonecanplayguitar

Glad you've liked the recent lessons Toby. And thanks for your support here - much appreciated!

anyonecanplayguitar

Yes, Silly Thing would be fun - no Johnny but still a great track. Maybe!

Laura Crum

Hi Adrian! Not sure where to make this request, but any chance you could cover something by St Vincent? Preferably something of the Masseduction album? I adore her (and recently got enthralled by her acoustic version of Los Ageless)

Thomas Simmons

Some Damned or Buzzcocks would shiver me timbers.

Ray Lee

had to sign up after seeing your video of anarchy in the uk, always wanted to learn this tune cheers mate,........ pretty vacant and god save the queen would be great too!!!

anyonecanplayguitar

Yes, seems to be quite some interest in a Damned track. I may well do it - something off the first record maybe?

anyonecanplayguitar

Thanks for signing up Ray, much appreciated. I've got a lesson on New York coming up later this year. I might well look at more too - God Save the Queen is another favourite of mine, so might well do that at some point.

anyonecanplayguitar

Hi Laura. Here is as good a place as any to make a request! I think St Vincent is great, and love the Masseduction album too. She has a really unique and inventive style. I've not tried playing anything by her before. I'll check out the version of Los Ageless you mention. Any other tracks you think might make for a good lesson?

Thomas Simmons

Sure. "Neat Neat Neat" has some tricky unhinged Chuck Berry style solos. "Fan Club" would also be very good. Interesting guitar things going on there. Anyway that would be my suggestions.

anyonecanplayguitar

Great! I'll have a play around with those and see if I can figure out what's going on. May well be a Damned lesson coming later in the year.

anyonecanplayguitar

Yes, great performance! I'll give it some thought, and have another listen to the album. It's really a question of what I'm able to figure out and play myself, and what will make for a good lesson.
