Hello all. I've had quite a few requests for this one, so I sat down earlier this week to try and figure it out. Makes you realise what a great and underrated guitarist Robert Smith is. Here's a link to the video:

There are lots of great live performance videos of this song. I particularly liked this one from 1980. An incredibly tight live band, even that early in their career:

The tab can be found below. Backing track is coming in the next post.

Have fun with it, and speak next week,

Adrian

I'm still not great on the guitar, but seeing as this is my favourite song of all time I just have to give it a go! Thanks Adrian. 😁

I remember hearing this song on the "Happily Ever After..." Double LP, not knowing it was 2 albums compiled together. I thought it was one of the greatest double albums I ever heard. I still can't think of "Seventeen Seconds" and "Faith" as 2 separate albums. Lol

The live performance of this song in Davout Studio is really great. And I think this song is amazing. A great witness of Robert smith guitar work

Absolutely, you have to have a go. It's totally OK to simplify some of those embellishments and just play power chords for a lot of it.

Thanks Stéphane - yes, I came across this performance while I was preparing this video. Superb! I didn't realise there were more songs in this session - will have to check them out.
