Happy Friday all! I'm still away for the next few days but - fear not - I am able to bring you a video this week. This one was recorded 2 or 3 weeks, ago and is a detailed look at a fantastic Cramps song. Here's the link -

The tab is attached below; backing track coming up in the next post.

Thanks to everyone for some great lesson suggestions last week. All have been noted and I'll be getting to work on creating some new things for you when I get back to work early next week.

Speak next Friday,

Adrian

Thanks Adrian I was just sitting with a Jazzmaster on my lap when your video went up. Simple and enjoyable, I love this track and the original. Really interested in the surfybear but must resist since I already have a Digitech Polara. Please keep up the rockabilly every once in a while it’s great.

maarten

Cool! Thanks!

Les Brown

Excellent… :):)

CC

Ace lesson Adrian. Happy to be a supporter here on Patreon!

CC

Agreed! Keep the rockabilly coming occasionally please. Love all your content though Adrian! Thanks for this one!

Cramps, always good but how about something from Greg Sage and his wipers. Are you a fan?

anyonecanplayguitar

Yes, I know the Wipers a bit, and have enjoyed what I've heard. I should definitely try getting into them a bit more deeply at some point. Any particular song you think might be good for me to look at in a video?

anyonecanplayguitar

Thanks Thomas (and CC). The Surfybear's great, but probably necessary if you have a Polara which is a fantastic pedal. Will certainly try and bring some more rockabilly your way very soon!

BILL ROBINS

Nirvana did a cover of D-7 so that will probably bring in the views haha. They are like a punkier version of the Cars. Maybe I think that cos they are called the Wipers?

Chris Maddox

No to worry Adrian. I'm still working through the loads of excellent lessons you have thus shared. Everyone needs a holiday and make the utmost of yours, mate!

David Lopez

It’s kind of tough to pick a single one because so many of their songs just have so many seeds of guitar greatness, lol...anyway, the first three albums are super under appreciated and classics to me...youth of America is especially good. As far as a lesson maybe return of the rat, Romeo or even mystery. Oh and the lesson on kiwi mad dog was so good! More Elliott smith please! If Elliott wanted anyone teaching his music you’d probably be his guy 👍🏼

Richard Tock

I wasn't really very familiar with the Cramps before but I'm LOVING this lesson. It turns out that it's pitched perfectly at where I am on my 'guitar journey'. Accessable, but not too simple and a song that I'm enjoying listening and re-listening to. Great work, Adrian.

Fred_F

Yes! The Cramps ! always good to hear, play, and more. thx

Mickey C

I've been having a blast playing this one. Even signed up (again) just for your backing track! (And then I discovered the new Link Wray lesson... I'm in guitar heaven)
