Welcome Back!

Last week we kicked off our 2nd K-Drama with The Glory and today we check out Episode 2. Dong-eun is out for revenge against her bullies and we are excited to see where this takes us. We have a lot to learn so let's hop in.

We are meeting a lot of new characters and we may have the names and theories all wrong but one thing is for sure, Dong-eun's plan for revenge is in motion. But what a twist at the end, she wants who dead?! We will jump back into it next week so be sure it check back in then.

Hahahaha!!! I was laughing so much at your expressions when the employee said "I want you...to kill my husband." I had to rewind because I couldn't stop laughing!!

A few things from this episode, I was also confused about the characters my first time watching, but it’s important to remember which character is which from the past so it won’t get as confusing in future episodes. 👀Also fun fact! Jeon Jae-jun (one of the guys from the bully group) is played by Park Sung-hoon, who you might recognize as Hyun-ju, Player 120 with the long hair in Squid Game 2! And for the ending, I noticed you guys were wondering if the lady’s husband was Yeon-Jin’s husband 😂 Just to clarify with NO spoilers her husband hasn’t been introduced yet, so you’re not supposed to know who he is at this point! 👍🏽 Great job keeping up so far guys❤️🙏🏽

Just to clarify, the nanny at the end works for Shin Jin-Tae, the Director who's shredded papers Dong-Eun is collecting. The nanny's husband hasn't been introduced yet, you'll find out later!

Being a news anchor in S.K. is a big deal. Pretty much celebrity status but also seen as an intellectual. To land the position you have to be smart, have a clean image, and for women, young and pretty. The competition to become a news anchor is fierce. For women, you'll be respected and sought out by wealthy men and their family. You see YeonJin's husband is all about power and image. He values privacy, hes a bit of a shady grey character to me. YeonJin fears he'll find out about her past, you can see he runs a tight ship.

Watching this again I realized how much stuff happens in the whole show lol! A lot of stories, details, mistery, intentions! I know main character is Dong Meun but every other character is so complete they could easily have their own show . Can’t wait for the next one !

I usually really enjoy your reactions and this was good too but I was a little frustrated watching. I know you both are not used to watching such dark and jarring themes but I wish you wouldn’t be so quick to box Dong-eun into an evil character or think she’s psychotic. I think we can sometimes put our moral judgements aside and follow the journey of the protagonist and see how she maneuvers through her revenge. Relax and enjoy the show, it has so many beautiful and hard hitting moments and I feel you will miss it if you’re hung up on “this is wrong” or “ it’s all in the past, she should move on”. I know there are a lot of characters and layers you are still confused on but it will be easier if you familiarize yourself with the bully’s younger and present selves and their names. Everything is interlocked and will be revealed one at a time so sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks for the reaction!

Just to put it out again....because you guys most probably will get confused with names and faces...i would suggest keep the names of the characters handy so you know whome they are talking about. For your reference: 1. Jae-Jun: Wore red contact lense, in school he was the one played basketball at the back when Dong-eun was being bullied, owns Golf-Course, was intimate with Yeon-Jin, he was the one on the plane (he used eye drops in school is a big hint for later episodes) 2. Hye-Jeong: Flight Attendant, was on the plane with Jae-Jun as Flight Attendant, is friends with the bully group, she is the one who took the keys from the gym teacher where they bullied Dong-eun (not that rich so not considered equal by the group) 3. Sara: Also a bully and friends with Yeon-Jin, Painter, daughter of a Pastor, Druggie, back in school it was her father's church where Yeon-Jin and girls wore white t-shirts to make fun and stuff 4. Myeong-Oh: The one with the tattoo on the neck, he was the one who forcefully kissed Dong-Eun and was bullying her with others, works for Jae-Jun (basically his servant now lol) 5. Yeon-Jin: Main bully, her husband you saw and he is a construction company owner that they showed (Jaepyeong Constructions) **The guy we saw in the hospital and tutored Dong-eun with GO game was the one who we saw in the coffee shop in the 1st ep..he is not a part of Yeon-Jin's group or from their school, you will know more about him in future episodes **The house from where Dong-eun was stealing trash is not Yeon-Jin's house (you can tell that because when she goes to that house for trash she is charged for toll service). It's Director Shin-Tae's house, she had his family tree drawn, hence, the lady who asked to kill her husband works at Shin-Tae's and we haven't yet met her husband In conclusion, the bullies are Yeon-Jin, Sara, Jae-Jun, Myeong-Oh, Hye-Jeong Also, I am not sure if you know but this story is inspired by a Real Bully case in SK, the bullying scene mirrors the Curling Iron Incident from a 2006 case and there was no real justice for it so what we see in this drama is SATISFACTION Sorry for the LONG comment, but this info might help to keep track of the people
