These are also supposed to be water-resistant when dry
Their swatch chart shows some colors with granulation, something I'd love to see watercolor pencils be able to offer, but have yet to really encounter during my fieldtests: https://tinyurl.com/y2nqfmu2
This chart also includes pigment information for all the colors in the line
On the Caran D'Ache site, a set of 12 is $52.80
Colors do not indicate any set, were purchased based on need, interest, and having enough colors to do a basic review.
Matt grey body, color cap on end, silver body screening
Hexagonal body
Lightfast rating is out of 5 stars
Most of the pencils here have 5, the lowest has 3
Compared to the Supercolor II- Watercolor indicated by color on end, rather than full body of pencil

Fairly buttery
Not dusty
Dry they aren't any more spectacular than any other decent watercolor pencil, and not as buttery as many oil-based color pencils
Supracolor II Dry:
Colors Swatched
3888-Light Blue-161-***
3888- Blue- 260-***
3888- Ultramarine- 140-**
3888- Lemopn Yellow 240-***
3888-Scarlet-070-**
Maybe a little more buttery than the Supracolor II
Colors that share the same name between the two lines are sometimes different (ex: scarlet, light blue)
Wet swatching
Musuem Aquarelle
Colors seem to activate fully
When wet- vibrant color
Some sedimentation with some colors
These activate a LOT of color- a little can go a long way, and could be used for coverage.
Supracolor II Wet Swatches:
Doesn't activate nearly as much as the Museum Aquarelle- you can still see pencil marks
Color isn't nearly as strong either
Some granulation with some colors, particularly Blue and Ultramarine
Colorwheel, dry:
Visual color mixing is pretty unimpressive with these- maybe it's the colors I've selected, the yellow is warmer than I expected
Color mixing, swatches:
Colorwheel, wet
When wet, colors mix pretty cleanly, and are fairly vibrant. A decent amount of granulation also adds some visual interest.
Color mixing, swatches
Yellow has a tendency to be overpowered by other colors in the mix, particularly reds
The Verdict:
These are really good, but at $4.40 a pop, they're pretty pricy compared to other watercolor pencils.
Pros:
SO MUCH PIGMENT
Very little dust
Can actually identify the pigments used- and these are common watercolor pigments
Some granulation adds visual interest
VERY lightfast
Compact format
Cons:
That price
Not as buttery as oil-based color pencils
Not all pencils have the color name on the barrel
Have to dig for pigment information- not easily available on the Caran D'Ache site
Music:
Windswept
Silver Blue Light
Meditation Impromptu 03
Inner Light
