Hey Artnerds!

Our downtime has been spent wrapping up AI Somnium Nirvana Initiative. I have some...thoughts, but I don't want to spoil the game or the series for anyone who hasn't had a chance to play it and would like to do so.

Joseph and I generally play video games at night when we're winding down, but it's usually for like 15 minutes at a time. AI Somnium is the first game we've played in a while where we'll dedicate a significant chunk of the evening (45 minutes) to playing.

As a workaholic who struggles to take downtime without feeling guilty, I have to say, it's nice just to become totally obsessed with a game and not worry about not getting work done while we're playing.

While we haven't played all of Spike Chunsoft's games, we've watched LP's of several- Dangan Ronpa, 999, the first AI Somnium- and there's something about their games that just really GETS me. Most of their games are very character-driven, and the characters move the plot, and I'm a huge sucker for ensemble cast stories that are character driven- hence my love of 20th Century Boys, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun, Golden Kamuy, and Naruto.

Comic Art Merit Badge

This weekend, I'm teaching several Girl Scout troops of Cadettes how to make comics. Talk about a dream come true! When I was a Girl Scout, our troop just sat around and gossiped or picked on the weakest girl (usually me or my friend Megan). Making comics in Girl Scouts for a Merit Badge would've been amazing- I was just getting into comics as I was stepping out of Girl Scouts.

OLO Markers

Yall received a short window of early access to the OLO marker review, but don't worry, if you missed it, it's going live to the public tomorrow. Since Patreon $$ enabled me to purchase and review them, I wanted to give yall first crack at it.

The review ended up being a whopping 2 hours long! I'm considering releasing a condensed version like a week later, but since this is a new product from a new company that's promising to revolutionize alcohol markers, I felt like I had to spend some time on it.
