This anime never ceases to amaze me.

Otonashi's story is absolutely heart wrenching. He felt like he had no purpose on this earth other than him making his sick little sister happy. She appreciated anything he did for her and her thanking him made him want to do more for her. After losing her, he thought he wouldn't be able to go on but he found hope.

He found purpose. He studied hard. He wanted to help the sick. Then...the crash.

Life is so freakin' cruel, and this episode is too...!
