This is gonna sound weird, but I cannot believe how much I am ENJOYING this show and it's budding relationship nuances. I also really love the way they really dive into the way young men and women navigate relationships. It's just too good!

Miyuki explaining to the other young man on how to understand the girl who likes was freakin' gold! Kaguya behind the door making comments on how awful his advice was was so perfect.

...and holy hell...HIS ADVICE WORKED!

In japan there are diffrent tiers of chocolate girls give to guys during valentines day. honmei choco (romantic/true feelings), giri choco (obligation/coworkers), and tomo choco (friendship) Chocolate balls are considered giri chocolate and you get them by just being in the class because everyone gets something.

The author of this manga has an excellent grasp of psychology, interpersonal relationships and the adolescent experience. His other work Oshi No Ko, which is also adapted as an anime and is set in the same universe as Kaguya-Sama, deals with the Japanese entertainment Industry specifically idols. Love is War is mostly light but Oshi No Ko gets very dark and has probably one of the most gripping pilot episodes I’ve ever seen. If you ever watch that one, I suggest never looking anything up about it to avoid spoilers/surprises. Anyway sorry I got sidetracked, the first story is funny because Kaguya went through all that planning just to find out her phone is ancient haha Shirogane’s “dream summer” was hilarious. I love the corny astrology puns he came up in his head. And for the last part of the episode, I don’t think Kashiwagi was interested in that boy but the power of the wall slam compelled her to say yes. 😂 Who knows what repercussions that move will have in the future.

The first episode is a pilot and concept demostrator. Then was greenlit to air and the second episode works like a episode 1.1 of some sort. No more recaps from now on. This show is based of a manga and the author, Aka Akasaka is genius. But the team of A1 pictures that produced the anime take the source to another level. Oh kawaii koto!!!

Or as long as it's not ten minutes of limp gymnastics! LOL!!!
