Sigh...

I feel like I am right back to the same place I was before I began Ave Mujica.

I loved Sakiko and now because of her lying saying she doesn't know anything about CRYCHIC or Ave Mujica. I understand she wants to forget the worst of what she's been through, but the way she is doing it right now is just not it.

My heart breaks for Mitsumi. She doesn't want Sakiko to hurt but Mortis really wants to protect what's left of her...

This is getting crazy!

Hehe it's hard to make comments. But I'll say the one thing I really thought highly about the show in general is that it has something to say about more than just what the characters do and say. They are saying something even bigger about a society that historically, and unfortunately from what some Japanese folks have told me, is sadly very real, and very accurate, about how mental health issues are perceived and the result of how people who suffer with them are treated. And yeah being mad at the 16 year old girl who took on too much responsibility and got in over her head and is now drowning in conflicting emotions is very fair. But the show is leading us to the bigger problems. And also, read some pretty cool essays, from people with DID explaining - this is pretty much exactly what it is like, down to one 'alter' learning a skill or knowledge that the others don't have access to. I've also seen people say they have shown this at their DID support groups. When 'alters' get out of whack with the rest of the group like this, they all suffer. And Mortis trying really awkward attempts to sabotage any chance of Crychic reuniting, by showing the 'biggest fan' of the group where her old idol now lives. It's dark and sad. And awesome drama.

Early to the show ^_^ Coz I have a busy week ahead, and there’s no time like now to get my disjointed thoughts out. 😂 First scene: Every time, I’m like, “How can any of your friends understand you, Sakiko?! You’ve never explained anything!!!!! >_<” This girl. I love you, but you’re so dumb... lol. Teenagers. 😂 You said it’s weird that we’re back in the MyGO!!!!! space once again. But their story is so intertwined because of Saki. And yeah, the things going on in this episode is happening in the "now" of both bands. Trivia: I read that some fans were a bit miffed about this too. It does have a good payoff, but it kind of ruins the pacing for me, especially with some of the other Ave Mujica characters getting sidelined (like Uika, Nyamu and Umiri). I can’t really explain much further without getting into spoilers, so just wait and see. :3 Raana, the aura farmer, sees auras. 😂 Nice. Though her just going, “Ah, you’re two people in one,” is a bit Deus Ex Machina-esque. Sometimes you just gotta suspend disbelief and go with it. :3 Shoe locker scene: Sakiko clearly expected there to be no Post-its, but her body language also felt like, “Why did you stop the drunk Post-its, Tomorin?” 😭 Ring scene with Mortis and MyGO!!!!!: I love how Soyo is basically like, “This Mortis becomes closer to Raana than me, despite me spending three days locked up with her? Hrrmph...” 😂 I also read somewhere that when Mutsumi fell down the stairs mid-argument with Mortis, you could hear both Mutsumi and Mortis gasp. Such a neat little detail. And Soyo goes full mama bear when MutsuMortis ended up arguing in public. As for Sakiko, she’s been running away instead of actually facing the things that are plaguing her. But at the same time, it’s really difficult for her right now. So yeah, I completely understand Soyo’s righteous indignation with Sakiko denying everything she once held sacred.

We learned that Soyo's professional calling outside of music is of a therapist. She has great instincts for it.

Anon sums it up, when she says she can understand someone just wanting to erase everything that has come before (though that's a bit tricky when you ask a key part of that former life to be part of the new band...) I really enjoy the way that the story continues to involved the MyGo characters, and shows why people say you have to start with MyGo and can't just jump to Ave Mujica. I also read recently that there's an extended feature coming soon for AM, that i think will be at theatres? And then there's a joint series of MyGo and AM coming next year too. I'm a little wary given I really like how they concluded this series - but I have to retain faith in the writers who have done such a great job so far.
