Hey Patrons! We've got another ad-free Weird Rules for ya. This one is all about corporate logos, so fair warning, you will see some brand imagery through the video. Now, as someone who has never gotten a bold haircut, let alone shaved a logo in my hair, I can only envy those who have the guts to do something new and different and fun and free. But I don't envy Iman Shumpert. Because an NBA rule forced him to shave off his bold hair choice. Kind of a worst case scenario for a new hairdo. And despite the rule being public knowledge, despite Shumpert's story, many other players ran up against the very same rule! Lonzo Ball, pay attention! J.R. Smith pay attention! ...to a few things...

Please enjoy Joe Ali and I analyzing Rule H.5: The only article bearing a commercial logo which can be worn by players is their shoes.

"Kind of a worst case scenario for a new hairdo." I don't know, the title made me think that a badly-designed rule led him to have some sort of horrible scalp injury on the court, so this is something of a relief.

I had the same initial instinct since "bald spot" usually refers to the top of the head. I suppose that title may work as clickbait for those into that kind of thing. "Secret Base" is sufficient bait to get me to click, but not everyone has my refined taste in internet videos.
