LOOKING FOR THE WEEKEND by Cindi Curtis

Good morning, everyone! The sunlight over the ridge is soft and golden today—perfect for settling into a focused workday here in the loft office. I’ve got my coffee, my morning playlist, and a clean to-do list, and I’m in the final stretch to the weekend.

I guess I’m in a good place, taking days as they come and being able to focus on work. I also feel good about being able to share living-green tips and devotionals (which is what I wanted to do when I came back to social media last winter).

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how “living green” can start with little comforts—like what we wear while we work. A lot of synthetic fabrics shed tiny plastic fibers every time they’re washed, and those eventually find their way into rivers and oceans.

I’ve started choosing more natural fibers like cotton, hemp, and wool for everyday wear, and when I do laundry, I use a mesh washing bag that catches microfibers. It’s such a small thing, but it helps keep the water cleaner—and honestly, the natural fabrics just feel better.

During my devotional this morning, I landed on Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” I paused on that word—rest. It’s easy to confuse rest with stopping, but this verse feels more like an invitation to breathe in the middle of motion. Even on busy days, there’s a kind of rest that comes from knowing you don’t have to carry everything by yourself.

So today, I’m working, breathing, and remembering that rest and grace can share the same space. Wishing you peace and productivity wherever you are today.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.
