GOOD MORNING

I’m really excited for today! Once I drag myself out of bed, get a shower, and get dressed, Sasha and I are heading over to Brownsville to meet Jasmine Banks, the girl who got us thinking about adding a Project Assistant to the AGI Stories team. Yeah… there will be coffee and a couple of hours of editing and ghostwriting before we leave…

The year 2025 seems to have flown by. Nearly 11 months have passed, leading me to thoughts about how things have been going and how they can go better. Allow me to drift through a few thoughts…

When I hopped into social media in April of 2024, I was on the journey alone. Just me, my cameras, my tripod, and the remote shutter release.

Now, 20 months later, the team is a lot bigger. And after today, it will probably get bigger still!

The story that used to be just me has really expanded. But, up until recently, the lens of the diary has mostly focused on me.

And I am very aware that most of you reading this are here because of that.

However, AGI Stories came to be to tell stories. It took a couple months to figure out how to do that, but, as I like to say, the storylines are the heart of it all.

Without reducing my presence in the diary… In the weeks, and months to come, it seems like the story needs to expand (when time permits). You barely know Sasha and even less so Geoni! The guys are part of the bigger story around me, too. And so is Dad!

If Sasha gets her way, Jasmine and Micah, her husband, will be part of the bigger story, as well. I’ve received several messages for Sasha: Yes, we want to hear your backstory. I am certain the diary needs to expand.

If time were unlimited—oh, the tales that could be told!

So, you can expect MORE (not instead of, but in addition to) stories from the people I share my life with. And, I really hope you will grow to like them!

The Storylines are the heart of Ailana Geven Imagines, and they are found in the Collections section of the site.

MEETING JASMINE

They (whoever they are) say “You know when you know.” Sasha knew before we even got here.

Seeing Jasmine and Sasha meet for the first time, it took like 3.1 minutes before I knew. Jasmine is going to be part of the AGI Stories team.

We had a great conversation, and it turned out to be extremely honest. We addressed some sensitive issues—the elephant in the room, so to speak.

“I wasn’t sure what to think,” Jasmine said, “when you said you wanted to meet. I kinda thought it would end up being ‘thanks but no thanks.’”

“What made you think that?” I asked.

“I’m not from the same world as y’all. Young… poor… no family but Micah… and it scares me to say it, but a lot of White folk want to think race isn’t a factor anymore, but…”

“Don’t be afraid to say whatever you want. Be honest.” Sasha replied. “About race…I’m half Korean. Geoni doesn’t even know exactly what she is…”

“And,” I said, “about being poor… Up until I was your age, I barely got by. When I was in elementary school, there were a couple of times when Dad and I lived in a homeless shelter.”

“Well,” she added, “I don’t want to be considered a charity case.”

“Not at all,” Sasha replied. “You called with an idea for something we didn’t even know we needed. My husband, Clay, said go for it! He wants me to have a little more time for him.”

I then added, “And AGI Stories… With so much of Sasha’s time going to getting SwimFit off the ground, we’ve sort of slowed down. The Everglades, US-41, Mississippi River adventure was a while ago! With you helping, we can get on with the next one!”

“I told Ailana,” Sasha added, “that for you to give birth to the idea and not let you do the work seemed crazy. If you want to give us a tryout, we want you to be the one.”

By the time the coffee was gone, I felt like AGI had just found a rare treasure. So, everyone, welcome Jasmine and Micah to the family.

GOOD NIGHT

So ends Thursday, and as it closes, so opens a new horizon for me. As I mused this morning, my journey in social media began alone. But now?

I live in a great little South Texas coastal town near my father (Dad!) and my grandmother (Grammy). I’ve worked with a team of friends now for over a year: Clay and Sasha Everett and Josh and Geoni Ryan. Jason Keller joined the team last winter, and things have moved fast ever since!

Today, in light of the growing scope of our work, we hired Jasmine Banks to become Project Assistant for AGI Stories and SwimFit Apparel. (And if any other title has slipped out before, this one is final—Project Assistant.) Jasmine will work alongside Sasha.

As I said in the “Good Morning” post, it’s time for Ailana’s Diary to expand. I’m really excited! I keep getting comments and DMs asking about the other people, most recently Sasha.

As time permits, bits of their stories—which have, all along, been taking place without being reported—will start to appear here. Time limits make it impossible to say “every day” or “weekly” but, you will start to have access to what’s going on with them!

On the horizon? Well, as SwimFit continues to be built, I expect that we’ll pull Kirina Yung more closely to the team as a model. I anticipate interest in her journey will warrant her story being told here, too.

It is my sincere hope that you’ll like this. It feels… INCLUSIVE… to let the story GROW, to be able to share MORE of what’s going on around me.

So, here’s to progress and the building of new things on the foundation of what has been! I sincerely hope you’ll like the additional glimpses into the lives of everyone.

May your vision of what you are grow, shaping you into being more than you have been, creating a version of you more like you are meant to be than you were.

Good night.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.

Good morning. As long as you don't reduce your presence but just add to it, I think the change will be positive. We are fine with MORE. Good luck with your ghost writing and your trip to Brownsville.

Meeting Jasmine. Sasha knew along with the ubiquitous "they", huh? 3.1 minutes. Well, as long as, you're sure. Always that stubborn elephant. Seems like you had a good meeting. So, Jasmine and Micah, I think you'll find this team really is a... team. So, I bid you welcome.

Good night. Well, the horizon is broadening, isn't it? Always a good thing, isn't it? We fans figured Kirina would appear more as SwimFit continued to grow. I love the quote by Cary Grant, "Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. Even I want to be... " I bid you goodnight. 🌙.
