THIRTY HOURS by Cindi Curtis
Michael is supposed to leave in thirty hours. I can’t get my thoughts around that.
After months of being together on FaceTime, I thought I was satisfied. Nothing had ever been so good.
But… Just… You can tell it’s been different… Anyway…
Now, I feel like it’s about to slip away. I don’t know if this is normal feelings or if it’s my disorder taking advantage of how much I don’t want to see him leave. All I know is it feels terrible.
The idea of watching him walk away feels wrong—wrong in that gut-level, soul-level way that tells you you’re about to make a mistake you don’t want to make.
Somewhere under all this crying, there’s a thought fighting for air: I don’t know what it is yet, but… All I know is I’m thirty minutes into a serious ugly cry. I’ve got to do something.

CHANGE OF PLANS by Cindi Curtis
Who would fly to Colorado with only the dregs left in his shampoo? I’m not mentioning names.
Yes, last time you saw me I was bawling on the floor of the bathroom. Now, I’m braving Walmart on the Saturday after Black Friday. Things can change.
I came up with a plan. It’s a terrible plan. There’s no real good reason for it to even be a plan. There are about 573 things that could go wrong (I didn’t actually run the numbers—just made something up.)
Michael isn’t flying out tomorrow. He’s driving. (That’s why he needed more shampoo, because—he says–hotel shampoo isn’t very good.)
Oh… I’m going with him.
So, here I am standing in the Walmart crammed full of more people than I’ve been around in months upon months combined. Panic? Let’s say it’s knocking on the door.
Excitement? Brimming over! I have to buy a suitcase. Or some suitcases!
I called Jordan, like I’m a normal, not-anxious person and asked about staying with her. It actually is possible that she’s more excited by this than I am, if the tone of her voice was telling the truth!
I can work anywhere. Even in the car (that we are renting), so that’s not an issue. The plan is insane!
A couple of weeks with Jordan until I feel like I’m not going to lose it, then I’ll get a hotel somewhere. Or something like that.
This is where insanity kicks in. I’m planning on staying through January 2 and fly home on January 3. Michael says he’ll fly back with me, stay one night, then…
I’ll probably cry more on the 4th!
Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.
Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.
I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.
While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
Again, thank you very, very much.
