GOOD MORNING

GOOD MORNING—Good morning. I almost put a “?” at the end of that sentence. So far, I got up, used the bathroom, found a shirt, and put it on for this selfie! Bear with me! I promise, everything is going to be fine!

Another rainy, cloudy day here in South Padre Island. Now, on the upside, I’m getting a lot of work done.

Downside? BORED!

Here’s the plan for today…

There have to be some pants or shorts around here, somewhere. I’ll put them on and go do the coffee thing.

Sasha is coming by early to worry about me being okay with her being away. I’m going to add to her worries by telling her what Dad said on Monday.

Jason is coming up with lunch and we’ll go over his article. I’m really excited about that turn of events. With him getting into the writing functions, AGI Stories will really benefit.

Once we’re done with that… I’ll chicken out of bringing up the conversation I need to have with him. I’m just not ready yet. But, if he were to bring it up, I’m ready to talk.

He won’t, though. I’d imagine I’ve sent enough signals… Never mind.

I have a bigger idea about this sort of thing, and I’ll share it at midday. For now, the Keurig is calling me.

See you soon.

A FINE LINE

Okay, here we are at midday. I promised something like a bigger idea for this post. Here goes!

I’ve been going along all this year thinking I was content with how things are. Happy with how things are going. That’s what I thought.

I’m processing an idea. How about this?

There’s a fine line between being content and being complacent.

I’m still working this out, but I think “content” is accepting the way things are and “complacent” is not putting in the effort to make things better.

And, what about this?

There’s a fine line between being patient and procrastinating.

“Patience” is waiting for things to change. "Procrastinating" is not putting in the effort to see change begin.

So… it’s an idea in the making… I don’t know if it will stand up, but it’s a framework for my self-examination.

Where I am is that I’m not sure about the past, but if I have been complacent, then I need to change. I’d like to be content, but if there’s a way to make things better, I should take the first step, right?

And not just me. Everyone reading this could ask the same question of themselves. Are you being content or complacent about _______?

As for procrastination… I’ll probably start working on that one later…

(See what I did there?)

Okay… Jason should be coming along soon, and we’ve got work to do.

I’ll be back tonight with a good night post, so see you then!

GOOD NIGHT

Well, bet you’d have never expected to see me in a blanket, right? I mean, who does that?

I hope everyone had a good day. I did.

Jason and I worked on his article about the dolphin tour captain. He really locked in on some great points, and his writing was strong.

I think mostly I affirmed that he was on to a good thing. The next step is to get his manuscript in front of some buyers. And that’s something he and Josh have already been doing. Plus, I have a few contracts that are different from theirs.

I think this idea has a lot of potential, to be honest.

Tomorrow is Thursday, and Jasmine will be coming by to spend some time with Sasha before the flight to Chicago happens. After the 8th, Jasmine will be running things around here.

She won’t like that I said it like that, but with Sasha gone…

Honestly, I’m not helpless. I can call places and make arrangements. But, since Sasha took over project managing, things have been a whole lot easier, and my writing work has really picked up.

Okay, I know what a handful of you are thinking… What about all that stuff from Monday? What are you going to do?I mentioned in the midday post that I’m processing. That’s all I can say for now. I’m working it out. I promise.

With that, before I wax into another round of deep (boring) ideas, let’s end the day with a mundane question.

How bad of a mistake was it not to close the curtain? Asking for a friend!

May you give yourself time to work through the life-changing decisions you face, never rushing but always moving forward.

Good night.

Be your best you!

Common Hamster

GOOD MORNING. No ? needed. Any day above ground is a good day. Of course some days are much better than others. As usual, thank you for the weather. So jealous. At least it isn't a cold rain. Anyway, Would you consider Sasha your best friend? So Jason is not a writer already? It's okay if you are not ready to talk about anything yet. Have a good day.

A FINE LINE. I think I followed that line of thinking. I think. I know about procrastination. Unintentionally so, though. Yes, I think I follow. Glad you can help Jason. And reflection, particularly, self-reflection occasionally, is good. Have a good rest of your day.

GOOD NIGHT. Well, I never expected it, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. Wait, um, anyway, glad you had a good day. Glad Jason finished up his project strong. Always in Jason's corner. No one thinks you are helpless. You are the leader. One thing you have never been is boring...in any way. Not mundane, but closing the curtains probably prudent from now on. Your privacy is ...your privacy, after all. Safer too, really. Anyway, thank you for the update. Rest well and focus your thoughts. I bid you goodnight. 🌙.
