GOOD MORNING

So far, this is all I’ve managed for the day. I made it this far before deciding to lie back down and take a selfie. This might be it for the day!

I am pretty much going it alone today. Jason is in Gulfport. Sasha and Clay are packing and making arrangements for all of the furniture in their condo to be moved into storage. Jasmine is back in Brownsville getting ready for her move tomorrow.

I have work to do today, so once I get up for the second time, I’ll get started. I’m honestly going to forego the whole hair and makeup thing today. Hope you don’t mind. More or less, this is what you get today.

I’m actually looking forward to a whole day with time to work, no one to impress, and nowhere to go. And, I’m hoping to share it with you!

I’ll be back later, once I start getting some work done. See you then!

LUNCH PLANS

The morning has been good; I’ve managed to get a lot of work done. But for the last twenty minutes, I’ve pretty much been thinking about lunch.

So, for my solo-day-in-the-condo, here’s the lunch plan!

I’m going to grill some chicken tenderloins and mix up a salad. Garnished with grated cheese, I’ll add a little honey mustard dressing, and call it done!

Jason checked in to say things are good in Gulfport. His mom is spoiling him, of course. Dad is also very happy to see him.

That’s about it for now, I suppose. I’ll check in after lunch and give you a progress report.

See you then!

WORKING ACTUALLY

There’s a slight difference between walking around the room absent mindedly as compared to trying to work out the events in a story between scene A and (for instance) scene D. For the last half hour, I’ve been flip-flopping between the two.

I’m working on one of my ghostwriting jobs, again. The first scene is a man in a cafe (where he ended up after the previous action). For the planned plot development, he needs to end up on a random subway train headed to someplace he doesn’t know about. That scene will lead to some GoogleMap searches which will reveal more than where he is.

So, I’m just making up things up to explain why he leaves the coffee shop and jumps on some random subway! I’m trying to keep it plausible, so space aliens and zombies have been disqualified.

I have to admit that I’ve really enjoyed the day, so far. I wouldn’t want to be solo often, but for today, it’s been freeing. I feel like having nothing incumbent on the schedule has let me relax into my work.

So, that’s the plan for the afternoon. I made extra chicken tenderloins at lunch time, so I’m planning a sandwich of some sort for dinner.

Then, as I usually do, I’ll check in for a goodnight post. See you then!

GOOD NIGHT

The day has come full circle, now. I’m right back where I started, and I’m almost ready to pull up the blanket and go to sleep.

I got the guy to the subway. There’s a bit of cloak and dagger going on in the story, so I had him see someone he thought was someone he was looking for. He followed them to the trains, then saw someone he was sure he was trying to avoid, so he jumped on.

I sent a draft to the writer who hired me, and she liked it. She’ll put her polish on it, but essentially, I’m done, for now. For her, I get to do little sections like that—I call them instrumental scenes. They are needed to go from “here” to “there” but they don’t really change the plot or character arcs.

I have to say that I feel really good about my writing career. Summer of 2024, I wasn’t sure I could give up modeling. Now, I’m in a place where I can work it back in, as you’ve seen over the last few months.

Well, let’s call this day done. And furthermore, let’s call it done nicely. A good day comes to an end. I’ll close out, finish getting ready for bed, and call it a day.

May your days that are simple and relaxed become part of your routine, giving you time to be productive and moments to rest and recharge your mind, body, and soul.

Good night.

Be your best you!

Common Hamster

GOOD MORNING. That is fine to start a quiet Friday. Thanks for the selfie and no problem for us if you want a slow, casual day.

LUNCH PLANS. Chicken tenderloins and salad sounds like a good lunch. Glad Jason is enjoying his visit and you are getting some work done.

WORKING ACTUALLY. Ghostwriting sounds like work as much as fun. As you say, your stuff must match the flow of your contractor. I'm glad you didn't do aliens or zombies. Everybody does that. I still think he leaves the coffee shop to follow an enigmatic record store owner who is friends with a magic bluebird. Just saying. Glad you've been able to fully embrace the writing vibe.

GOOD NIGHT. Your story sounds kind of exciting, really. I hope everything turns out well. With all due respect to 2024, I think this year has shown there is no reason why you can't model and write. Just saying. That certainly is a playful good night image. Thanks for posting! Glad you've had a good day. I bid you goodnight. 🌙.
