Message from AGI-Stories…

Looks like I forgot to actually POST this one! I'm posting now and back-dating it.

Thanks!

DIFFERENT ROUTINE by Cindi Curtis

Working from a hotel is only about twice as hard as working from my loft office! But I’m getting it done. I cleared my iPhone, iPad, and other laptop off the desk for the picture.

I’m honestly thinking about buying a couple of big monitors and a keyboard that I can switch from machine to machine… (Techy greek discussion goes here! LOL) Overall, I think I’m settling into hotel life!

So here’s what’s pushed me through the last few days.

I’ve learned that a lot of the “peace” I chase isn’t really peace at all—it’s just me hoping everything around me will stay calm enough that I won’t fall apart. I tell myself, “If my schedule settles down… if my anxiety behaves… if nothing unexpected happens… then I’ll feel peaceful.”

But that kind of peace is so fragile. One noise in a hotel bathroom can shatter it.

Isaiah wrote speaking to God, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” —Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)”

It isn’t about everything being quiet or easy. It’s about God being steady when I’m not. Jesus said we would have trouble—not might, but will—and yet He tells us to take heart because He has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

So real peace isn’t the absence of stress or uncertainty. It’s knowing that God is with me right in the middle of it, holding what I can’t. It’s His presence, not my circumstances, that keeps my mind steady.

So over the last few days, I’ve faced my panic attacks knowing that they are transient, temporary, and won’t last forever. I’ve reframed the bumps and noises of the hotel into reminders of how close I am to Michael (but I still jolt into panic mode for a few breaths!).

Let me wrap up saying this: I like it here. I like the new everything.

And on that topic, Mom called with some interesting ideas that I’ll share next time!

Oh… the temperature is supposed to hit about 60 on Friday, so I called Colorado and asked them to send some winter for next week! They said they would!

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.

DIFFERENT ROUTINE by Cindi Curtis. A couple of big monitors and a KVM? keyboard sound like serious tech equipment indeed. Loving hearing you say you like it here and loving the new everything. Nice! Glad you have a handle on your attacks. I think that is real progress, isn't it? Anyway, than you for the verse and your devotional words. Wait, you want colder weather? From Colorado? Um, can we talk about this? Thanks for posting. Take care.
