Message from AGI-Stories…

Izzy's chapter is included here—even though it also appears in the Ailana's Journal storyline—for the sake of keeping continuity going.

Thanks!

Chapter 16: BEACH TIME PART ONE by Izzy Duffy

Being on the beach is always nice. As a swimsuit model all those years, I know what I’m talking about. Being on the beach with Kent—so much better!

“So, this sure isn’t Manhattan Beach,” Kent said as we waded out into the waves.

He’s right about that.

Kent’s going golfing (his first time) with the rest of the guys, but there was just no way we weren’t going to hit the beach first. I know this won’t be our last chance, but how could we not?

Ailana came with us, so she’s out here splashing around, too. I think we’re settled in for the long haul, but the other girls are just now making their way here.

We’re going to be here through January 3, so I’m sure I’ll have more to share later.

See you then!

Chapter 17: GOING SWIMMINGLY by Paul Charm

Rebecca and I are here in St. Croix for a week. After we flew Emma to St. Louis to see her father, we learned Izzy and Kent were invited down to the Caribbean for a week. Well, someone had to get them down here, right?

Now, I suppose, is a good time for me to do an update. I believe everyone else has taken their turn.

I’ll be honest, though: I’m still not entirely convinced about the Pay It Forward Society. It gives me the impression of a machine that starts promisingly, wheezes, and then asks to be coaxed along again. The intentions are admirable—you won’t find me arguing against generosity—but I’m not built for waiting around to see if an engine will decide to catch.

That said, the two missions we’ve completed were worthwhile. No complaints there.

Rebecca tells me not to fuss and to give it time. Point taken.

As for us, things are simple enough: we are happy together. We became comfortable very quickly, that comfort grew into friendship, and the friendship has become love. Nothing dramatic, nothing hurried—just steady progress in the right direction.

It’s fair to say we’re looking toward marriage. We haven’t made a great announcement of it to the younger lot on the team, but they’re perceptive. We’ve hardly tried to conceal anything.

There’s no ring yet, though we’ve decided to spend a day here finding one. For all practical purposes, the question has already been asked—and answered. We only need to mark it properly.

I realise it sounds terribly unromantic put like that. But we’ve never needed spectacle between us. What we have is clear, steady, and meaningful. A quiet commitment suits us better than any grand performance about it. We don’t need to make a show out of a commitment to being husband and wife.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.

Chapter 16: BEACH TIME PART ONE by Izzy Duffy. Ok, Kent, when you say Manhattan Beach, do you mean CA? I'm not sure. People do surf in St. Croix, but not those monster waves, I agree. And, hey, golf is fun, but for the afternoon when the beach might be too hot. And, Kent, ask her if you can apply the sunscreen on before you go, so she doesn't burn. Izzy, thank you for your update. I hope you and the girls enjoy your afternoon.

Chapter 17: GOING SWIMMINGLY by Paul Charm. Thanks for finally acknowledging what we all suspected. It doesn't sound unromantic. Just simple, sweet, and understood. I wish you every happiness going forward. Enjoy your Caribbean holiday.
