BETTER TOGETHER by Cindi Curtis

Good afternoon, friends. This week has been full—quiet in some places, busy in others, and full of those little moments that make you stop and think.

I’ve spent a lot of time at Michael’s condo, and we’ve been doing life side-by-side in simple ways. There have been a lot of gentle “what ifs” about the future. Of course, I’m spending my nights at ARRIVE, my hotel.

Today it’s warm but mostly cloudy—Michael has been getting some work finished, and I decided to make us a late lunch before we head back out to Bartlett.

I found a few listings on Zillow that look promising, and Dad keeps reminding me, “Just take your time, Cindi. Let the right one find you.”

So we’re going to drive around, look, imagine, and pray for wisdom. It still feels surreal to say: I’m house-shopping.

Speaking of surreal… Do you remember the gag gift Michael gave me? The red lace teddy nightgown. My mind went somewhere fast, and I shocked myself when I mentioned I’d wear it for him someday. I heard the words leave my mouth and thought, Who even am I right now? And later I asked who I am becoming…

In my visits here, I keep catching little glimpses of who Michael is. The way he organizes his notes. The way he asks God for help under his breath when he’s working. The way he keeps showing up with steadiness instead of big speeches. I’m learning that love can be quiet, patient, and kind—and my heart is slowly catching up to that idea.

Let me shift gears and leave you with a devotional thought I’ve been sitting with:

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” (Psalm 37:5)

So much of this season feels like decision-making—houses, timelines, next steps, feelings. Yet, God keeps reminding me that my job isn’t to orchestrate everything. It’s to commit my way to Him, trust Him with the outcome, and walk forward one obedient step at a time. Quiet trust may not look dramatic, but it builds a deeper peace.

May today be a day of trusting, not rushing—of letting God lead, even when the path is gentle and ordinary.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.

BETTER TOGETHER by Cindi Curtis. Thank you for an excellent devotional message, Cindi. Who you are now and who you are becoming sound like good thoughts for examination. It tells me that you are growing in love and in relationship with Michael. You are learning to be "quiet in some places" and "busy in others"? Positive signs to me of deepening feeling. Good luck to your dad on Zillow. Thank you for your update. Enjoy your lunch.
