GOOD MORNING

It’s been at least a whole day since I took the easy route and did a post wrapped in a blanket. Hope it’s okay to repeat—and hey—this one is red, so that’s a change!

If you’re here for some exciting Thursday adventure, then I have bad news. It’s a workday for me. The big adventure for today will be deciding which T-shirt to put on and when to do that.

My fingers are ready to demand great things from the laptop keyboard. My day promises to be routine, but if we stop and think about it, don’t our routines include bright little moments?

…I can already imagine the staccato clicking as words pour from my thoughts onto the screen.

…I can hear the Keurig hissing, smell the coffee brewing, and imagine how it will taste.

…I might toast an English muffin. Imagine how it will taste, spread with butter and drizzled with honey!

I think we often lose sight of the little high-points in what are otherwise routine days.

Another high point for me is you—your being part of this, your comments, and all of that bringing much-appreciated excitement in the midst of ordinary routine days. Thank you so much.

I’ll be back later, so see you soon!

CLICKING AWAY, BUT…

I dragged my little desk into the middle of the room, and I have already pounded out a lot of work this morning! Days like this feel really good, and I’m looking forward to reaching a stopping point early enough to clean up and be around people for dinner and the evening.

My work was only interrupted once, and it’s a good thing. It was Naomi.

“Ailana… busy tomorrow?”

She went on to say that she had a needed-it-yesterday shoot for us that she believed would take a couple of hours. She leveraged the urgency into a bargain: four models and a photographer paid at full base rate for a full-day session.

“Bad planning on their part is good for us,” she added.

She didn’t explain—and I didn’t ask—why they needed it so urgently, but she’s right… It should be easy.

It’s a collection of bracelets… Closeups on wrists… We won’t have to do makeup, but we’ll all redo our nails. Otherwise, neutral tops, jeans, khakis…

The plan is that we’ll go to the building that will be our new studio tomorrow. Jason will shoot it. There are some side rooms we can change in, but outfits are pretty secondary.

I told Naomi to forward all the details to an email address Sasha and Jasmine set up and share. I called Jasmine to give her a heads-up, so we should be set!

That’s all for now, but I’ll check in tonight for sure! See you then!

IS THIS WORKING? by Jasmine Banks

I love being part of the AGI group. The people are awesome, and the work is great. I’m just a little concerned.

Some days, I feel like I’m not doing anything. Other days, I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Micah says I over-think it all.

I started this morning—after checking in with Sasha—doing nothing for AGI. I am enrolled in my online nursing program, so I was doing some classwork.

Then Ailana called about a modeling job tomorrow. “Do you have time to contact the realtor and see if we can get into the new studio?”

I said of course. My thought was that my time during workdays belongs to AGI. You should be telling me to make the call, not asking if it is convenient for me to do something. I’m not used to being treated this way.

Micah says to relax. “They all act like friendship is more important than anything else. It’s really nice, right?”

I have to admit that’s true. Sasha and I have said we feel like sisters in some ways. She and I hang out sometimes and pretend like we’re working, but we’re really just talking and laughing.

But as wonderful as all this is, I keep trying to tell Sasha that AGI actually has a bank account and money goes in and out. I remind her that I’m getting paid to help with projects and sometimes I’m just drinking iced tea.

“Don’t worry,” she will say, “we did okay in 2025, and this year will be better. And if SwimFit can get off the drawing board, there will be a lot of work there, too.”

So, I guess everything is okay and everyone is satisfied. I know I love this! And Micah does, too. So I guess I’ll go back to my anatomy and physiology lessons and review the endocrine system overview.

I’ll close out with something else Micah said. “God has really blessed us, you know. We need to figure out how to use this blessing to help others around us. Like the others do…”

GOOD NIGHT

Out and about tonight! We decided to take a walk and eventually make our way to The Kraken for dinner. I’m with Jason, Clay, and Sasha.

We’re all set for tomorrow’s shoot. It really does feel like it will be simple, so long as the delivery arrives as scheduled.

I’d say that today has been really good in a really normal sort of way. And I think that the surprise modeling job is a good example of when the unexpected can actually be routine.

For us, we want these needed-it-yesterday jobs to be common. That means being able to routinely respond with a system and a plan. And this one is simple enough that our past jobs prepared us.

We have a location—that will soon actually be ours—that we can use. We have the equipment and the models. All we need is the product, and we’re ready.

In a sense, the urgency of waiting on the delivery is part of the routine, too. We have to be ready for that.

Anyway, I’m rambling… I guess the point is that, for a lot of people working—first responders, counselors, retail clerks—the routine is being ready to respond to the unknown.

Now we’re going to turn our stroll toward the restaurant and make our way there. Thank you for sharing the day with me. I’ll wrap up with my default blessing…

May you find joy in all that you do. May you prosper greatly, becoming able to give back to others who are in need.

Good night.

Be your best you!

GOOD MORNING. Good morning to you. Well, every day can't be Thursday, or exciting. Some days have to be routine. Even James Bond had a regular apartment in Chelsea between globe trotting missions where he kept his golf clubs and had downtime. So, bills have to be paid and ghostwriting has to be done. OK. Get some work done and we'll keep an eye out for an afternoon update.

CLICKING AWAY, BUT… See? Not routine for long. Adventure comes calling...literally. The Need It Yesterday Agency needs to spring into action once more! A crisis has occurred from a client's mishandled assignment and now you and the response team must...respond. Sounds great. We'll await your evening update for additional details. Thanks for posting.

IS THIS WORKING? by Jasmine Banks. Micah, as usual 😎is right. You're overthinking it. Sasha is your boss. Do as she does. Some days are like work study. When work is slow, you can study. And that's OK. It won't be slow for long. See? Adventure calls...literally. Ailana needs you to spring into action...so, spring! You are blessed. Now pass it on when you can. Have a good afternoon.
